We have never stayed on the American side of the Falls. Always go to Canada so this was our first. The hotel was clean and ready to check in. Easy walk to everything. Not right in town but an easy walk, maybe 7-8 mins.
We had to request to have our room cleaned after the 2nd day. We have traveled a lot over the past year with Covid restrictions and thought, OH NO....not again. Well, to our surprise, when we got back to the room before dinner. The room was exceptional and smelled fantastic. I walked right down the front desk to make sure the manager knew how well our person cleaned the room.
Bill the bartender is GREAT. They all seem ready to help and happy to answer questions. We had a 5th floor river view. I sat and watched out the window daily. We were there 4 days so you start to understand who are managers and so on. Anyhow, they have a rear parking lot. One morning I watched someone that worked at the hotel, dressed very nicely pick up garbage on her way in to the building. A bag, some wrappers and a cup. When the staff is great, you assume the employer takes care of them which in turn make the guest experience better.
We had a great time and will stay here if we stay on the American side again.

I am a diamond member of Hilton Honors so it was so nice to have the free breakfast and water. I did have an upgrade but unfortunately it was city view. All the suites on Riverview were taken so I took a standard room with a Riverview which was my choice.
The beds were okay and the pillows were average.
The front desk staff were polite and very nice. The food was good but overpriced. I had ants in the restroom many, many ants, I was told all they can do was spray Raid on them. The Greyline tour was the highlight of my stay, I loved it! I was so tired by the end. It would have been nice to have a bottle water offered. He was very informative and knew the falls very well! He also made sure we got the wettest spot on the Maid of the Mist! lol! Fish group tour was group. The hotel was nice but not spectacular ! Sebastian the bell boy was awesome help with my luggage! Made my day to have the help!

As a Hilton honors gold member there’s a certain standard that you expect when staying at a Hilton property those standards were not met and greatly disappointed!
My room type was a river view it’s a view of the parking lot with trees and river behind, at check in I was not told I would need to fill out a card for room service. So after being out all day you can just imagine the disappointment when we opened the room and found it the way it was when we left this morning., one of the elevators stopped working and with Covid 19 the wait to get and elevator was long only 4 at a time. No microwave in room this was our family vacation and we aren’t happy 😡

Dear Shonda, Thank you for staying with us here at the Doubletree Niagara Falls USA. I apologize that our river view room was not 100% clear as we are not able to remove the trees in the state park along the shoreline for an unobstructed view. Also, to clarify on our room cleaning process, due to COVID, we are not providing daily service or entering rooms as noted in our welcome letter you were given at check in, for the safety of our staff and guests. We gladly provide limited service with restrictions if requested and will of course provide any needed supplies upon request. I am sorry this was not clear but given the uncertainty of COVID transmission and the number of guests who continue to travel to our state from restricted states, we are being overly cautious in this regard. There are many other restrictions that our state has imposed and I am sorry that this was not further communicated. Again thank you for staying. Cordially Scott S GM

Before I start my review, I want to mention that the staff here are very good and respectful. The room was large and the overall appearance was nice. My review is based on the cleanliness of the rooms were were given. I debated about writing a review here, as I directly addressed my concern with the front desk manager and was promptly taken care of. I chose to write here, to bring awareness to the level of cleaning this place has, in hopes to make this a teaching review to properly monitor the cleaning and to fix this issue and to improve on future guest reviews that may be negative as a result of the same experience.

I arrived from Canada, with a friend for an overnight last min getaway. I have stayed at the Double Tree in Niagara Canada several times. This is our first stay here in the US. We were greeted with a warm welcome and given a room on the 4th floor. Upon entry, it looked clean, but once I started to look around I was sickened at how dirty the room actually was. The dust was everywhere, the bathroom was half cleaned, The hall mirror was wiped with a dirty cloth. base of the toilet was not cleaned at all, and there was a dirty q-tip behind the toilet and trash in the can. The shower had black hairs still in it. I ran a cleaning business so I notice these things right away.

I did not want to stay in that room, 451 and called down to the front desk. We were immediately provided with a new room upon my request, and moved to room 415. The front desk staff treated us well and provided us with prompt attention. Upon entry to the next room, 415, I did a walk around and again found dirt and dust, not as bad but it was there. We took clean wipes and wiped the coffee tray, the coffee machine, wiped the top of the bed rail, table lamp, and side and main desk. I took these dirty clothes down to the front desk to show them how there cleaning staff was doing so poorly. . The front desk manager who I had spoken with moments earlier, was horrified at what I was showing her. Even she was grossed out. They offered me a room credit and free breakfast, which I had not asked, for, but was grateful for the offer. I only wanted to personally show them the dirt I found. Again, treated with respect and genuine concern. Should my experience be other than respectful from the staff, I would have been vocal. I did my own clean so I would know it was done.

The staff I give 5 stars, the cleanliness I give 2, as I have seen much worse. There is defiantly room for improvement and this should be a teaching moment for the cleaning supervisors to inspect the rooms and properly train the cleaners. I can only image what other areas are missed and I could not see, that would have been dirty..

My stay was very unsatisfactory. We never expected Hilton to provide such poor service and experience. The major issues included:

a) The bed quality was very poor. The old beds made creaking sounds with every movement, making it impossible to sleep on them.

b) Room service was very bad. We called customer service for room cleaning at 9:00 AM for two rooms, but the staff only serviced one room and never cleaned the other, even though we did not leave a 'Do Not Disturb' sign on the door.

c) When we contacted customer service, the manager and staff gave very unprofessional replies. They stated they would send supplies if needed but could not address our concerns.

d) The breakfast was below expectations, with very limited options, high charges, and poor quality.

e) The behavior of the staff during breakfast was quite rude. When we entered the breakfast area, an older lady aggressively and loudly pointed out where we should sit and brought us coffee before we had even started our meal. When we asked her to bring the coffee after we had begun eating to avoid it getting cold, she took it away and never brought it back. Her demeanor was loud, confrontational, and unwelcoming, showing no concern for the customers.

Double Tree is always good and allows us to have one room while sleeping separately from our kids. The location is perfect, within walking distance from the Falls and all important restaurants. Reception staff on the first night was extremely friendly and helpful given that we had not reserved and they only had one room left.

Disgusting. Walked into the room and the first thing you notice is the spiderwebs EVERYWHERE. Webs lining the perimeter of the ceiling and all over the wood beam in front of the window. By the webs on the wood beam on the window, there were 2 sizeable spiders I had to kill.
The bed was made but it was reversed with all the tags at the top (which makes me think if housekeeping just rotated and not washed them) IF housekeeping did clean the room before my stay, I’m not sure how they can even be qualified as housekeepers. A 3rd floor room should not have spiderwebs lining the ENTIRE ceiling. In addition to the first 2 spiders I noticed and killed when first getting into the room, a third one came down on its silk and landed on me as I was eating! Seriously, is a simple pesticide spray that hard to accomplish? I shouldn’t not be checking into a 4 star Hilton hotel and having a room filled with both spider webs and spiders. A majority of the first night was spent making sure I had cleared all the webs (with a pillow) and killing the spiders. The second day (checkout day Whew! Get me outta here!) There was a HUGE brown spider in the bathroom crawling on the wall. After clearing out all the webs and spiders the first time (and believe me I checked everywhere multiple times) still another spider appears! Serious problem you guys need to fix and by the looks of it it’s not just the 3rd floor. I saw a review about a spider problem on the 8th floor and you guys waved it off as “Oh we can’t possibly be expected to manage a spider problem that high up in the summer” Yes you can, it’s called spraying and it’s what every other hotel does. Outside my window consistently there were always big black spiders making webs on it. I seriously hope no one stays here until this problem is fixed, it’s unbelievable to walk into a “cleaned” room and see spiderwebs everywhere.. Besides that issue I had no bath towels (had 4 ground mats), the shower was brown and yellow stained (is bleach really that hard to use?) This is a Hilton, Id have thought it would have better standards than this. Still can’t get over that I walked into a “cleaned” hotel room nonetheless Hilton, and the ceiling and window area are covered in spiderwebs and spiders. Simply unreal.

This hotel is about a 5 minute walking distance to the State Park, Niagara Falls, Maid of the Mist, and Seneca Casino. So, 5 stars for location. Also, I was allowed early check in at 12.30 pm and they even offered cookies. Again 5 stars.

There was an issue with my room. I asked for a room change but because the hotel was almost full, it was initially refused. Fortunately, an employee named Arkan saved the day. After inspecting my room, he personally went down to reception, pleaded my case, and successfully persuaded the manager. He demonstrated empathy, kindness, and understanding, and most important, he worked at finding a solution to make things right. So, 5 stars for Arkan for showing presence of mind.

The only reason I am giving this hotel an overall 4 stars, instead of 5, is because I also stayed at the Seneca Casino Hotel, which had superior rooms and was far more modern.

Could feel the springs in the bed, almond in the middle of the floor when we walked in, towel service was with subpar smaller towels. Wedding at the hotel made it impossible to park. Walls were so thin our neighbors kept us up past midnight. However, location was good and the room was overall good enough. The staff interaction was mostly good but there are always a few that have attitudes. The breakfast was a pleasant surprise and we enjoyed it. We had a 3 night reservation.

My husband reserved a specific room overlooking the water and verified this when he made reservation. S when we checked in the last gave us a different room, and tried to tell me he did not book water view , however we have the email verifying our water view room we reserved ahead of time . The room she gave us did NOT have a microwave as described in the details of the room
