Write a reviewBeing a frequent Hilton stayer I hopefully knew what to expect when checking in here. Despite only being a short stay everything exceeded expectations, every staff member I came across were polite, friendly and extremely helpful. They thought nothing of stopping to chat and answer any questions you may have, giving advice on where to go and what to see in the area. Nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast buffet was great with a wide selection, room service meal was fantastic. The booking, checking in and checking out process was effoetless. Rooms were spacious and clean. The location was fantastic as Niagara Falls State Park was across the road to the back of the hotel. If I am in the area again will definitely be staying here.

Our bedding was filthy. Marijuana found in bed sheets. Room service took over an hour and was cold. Manager had horrendous attitude. It was very apparent he just wanted rid of me. I had to talk him into comp’ing the room and he still charged me for parking and food. Quite obviously didn’t care that we were unhappy. 👎

Dear Jennifer G Thank you for sharing your comments and allowing us to respond. First I apologize if I did not come across as sympathetic to your concerns but I was very surprised that the 5 or 6 flecks of what looked to be pieces of grass from the park were believed by you to be pot. I am not an expert on pot like you are as a you noted as a law enforcement officer, and since the room had been cleaned and bedding changed from the prior guest, I was even more surprised that the alleged pot could have survived the chemical bath and high dryer heat in the laundry process. The only way I believe it could have been left in the room is if someone placed it under the box spring and it stuck to the sheets when you or your family climbed into bed. I would also have thought that there would be some odor of marijuana from the findings. I am sorry that I did not see you meet with the Niagara Falls police who discarded of the items that were found so that we could investigate further. As you recall, we have refunded your entire nights stay as well as the room service. Again my apologies and I am sorry that we couldn;t have made it right before you entered your room for the evening. Cordially Scott S GM

We were very excited to see the falls and get away for a couple days. We saved our money and chose Double Tree out of many other hotels in the area. Unfortunately, our room was next to people who partied and were loud and obnoxious. Room service was expensive and the upgraded fries were so bad I had to throw them away. The flag poles located outside our room kept us up all night combined with the parties in the rooms next to us. I wish our stay lived up to the reviews we researched when we decided to spend our hard earned money we saved choosing Double Tree in Niagara Falls. Hopefully we will be compensated so we can right a better review and recommend this hotel to all our friends and family.

Please accept my apologies for the inconsiderate guests and noise you encountered as well as the issues with your room service. I am unable to locate your room service order since it was not charged to the room but if you could let me know when it was ordered, I may be able to refund you for the meal that you flushed down the toilet. I do hope that our staff tried to make it right when you called down for assistance with the noise and room service order. For your inconvenience, I hope you will accept my offer for a complimentary 1 nights stay for a standard room anytime through Spring 2019. What a great find!! We knew the property was a rennovation and stayed there on a friends recommendation. This is like a spanking new property!!! It is clean, spacious, modern and the location couldn't be more perfect. First, the staff is incredibly accomodating and professional from the registration desk to the dining room and inparticular the room service staff! The room was spacious with a huge walk in shower! Our room was on the top floor and overlooked the Niagara River and the brink of Niagara Falls! Danielle is the manager and is totally customer oriented. We will stay here every time we come back to Niagara to visit relatives. I have traveled extensively and this hotel is extraordinary for its price point. Highly recommend.

My husband and I spent 4 nights here this past New Year's Eve weekend. Checked in on Friday and left New Year's day. Needed a few days to relax after the hectic Christmas holiday. This hotel hit all the right things for a relaxing stay. Staff was friendly and helpful. Robin, in Hospitality was delightful. Great conversation and attention to detail in the lobby. Restaurant and bar made it so we didn't even have to leave the hotel. We had dinner and the buffet breakfast, both were good. Room service breakfast was wonderful. Eggs and meat were hot and tasty. Lots of little extras, like a great selection of jams and jellies. Things like that don't seem important, but they just add to the whole experience. The coffee service in our room was a pod machine with good coffee and everything needed to enjoy a hot tasty cup quickly. Bed and linens were cosy and inviting. Bathroom was top shelf, from the upgraded glass enclosed tile shower to the extra large fluffy white towels.
Our stay was just wonderful and we will be glad to go back for another stay soon. Thank you Double tree.
