We checked in at 2:00am after a very long drive. We were given no information at check-in. We weren’t told there was no maid service. Our room had a half a roll of toilet paper for a 5 night stay. I had to call and request toilet paper not once, but twice.
There were only (2) bath towels in the bathroom. Women generally use two towels. One for hair and one for body. So another call to the Front Desk.
Since there was no maid service, trash piled up for FIVE days. Unacceptable. I shouldn’t have to take my trash to the dumpster when on vacation and paying to stay in a hotel.
The bed creaked and the mattress was not comfortable.
No guide for the TV to see what was on and no way to stream to the TV.
No Guest Services book. No Room Service, but the app lists it as an amenity.
Staff were nice. Requests to the Front Desk were fulfilled quickly.
It’s time to stop using covid as an excuse to provide sub-par service or eliminate services all together.

Good Afternoon Getaway771186, Thank you for taking the time to write a review on your staff. Unfortunately a few of the issues you had were new Covid-19 policies that are being done at all Hilton properties to ensure the safety of our guests and team members. I apologize this information was not given properly at check-in. We do avoid putting any stationary in the rooms (room service books, guest service books, app lists etc) because of sanitary reasons (covid-19). We also do not have housekeeping service, only upon request. We would have absolutely removed your trash/replenished towels if you contacted Guest Services. We apologize that this caused inconveniences. We hope that you return to our hotel when Covid-19 restrictions lift, and we can aim for a seamless stay!

On Monday August 23 we ate breakfast at the hotel. It took 45 minutes to get a bagel w/potatoes and my husband had two eggs over easy w/ potatoes. Knowing about the overall employment shortage we tried to be patient. When we saw other tables of 4 being served before us that came in after us we asked our server to check on our order. He was rude and snapped at us. We did not eat there again. Food was good. Service and wait time was not.

We had a large suite with a whirlpool. The drain did not work. The next morning I stopped at front desk and asked to have it looked at and requested more towels. We left for a while. The drain was fixed promptly but no towels.

Before we left again I called the front desk and asked for more towels. When we returned the towels were outside our door. Loose. On the dirty carpet. 🤢. There were towels in front of other doors but they were in a plastic bag. We couldn’t even use all the towels because of it.

We arrived on Sunday night and there was an event being held. When we came back from supper there were no parking spaces available. We tried the parking lot, in the back and across the street. We drove around and around for 15 minutes before we finally got one.

The worst part was when we used the shower. We starting putting our toiletries in there and notice there was still soap in the dish…covered in hair…left by a previous guest. 🤢

As a Hilton honors member and spending 143000 points and almost $700, I expected more.

I will not stay there again or recommend it to anyone.

I can’t even fathom a Hilton hotel with no disposable toothbrush (front desk said bec.they assume guests bring their own, but she will provide since we ask for it) no available slippers. No bathrobe. And no complimentary water bottles even if they say the water is potable and ok for drinking.

Dear Guest, We have toothbrushes and toothpaste for all guests who request them. We do not provide slippers and robes, all Doubletree's do not do that, only specific hotel brands do. The water is only complimentary for our Hilton Honors Guests, but we have water fountains and complimentary coffee in the lobby.

We loved the location, just a short walk to the Niagara Fall State Park. At check in we asked if an upgrade was available, Madisen, at the front desk went above and beyond for us, answered all of our questions, and he was able to give us the bridal suite, with a fantastic view of the Niagara River. The restaurant there was also excellent, we enjoyed a several meals there during our stay. All of the staff were courteous, helpful and polite. We would definitely recommend staying at the Doubletree by Hilton, Niagara Falls, New York.

Be sure to add $30.00 to their rate (I stayed 2 nights) when you compare rates online because they charge that for parking . the cost was not disclosed online or in fine print but charged on checkout. This is a TOTAL SCAM! Make sure you check it before you book.

Chose the executive king suite. The whirlpool had a large window that overlooked the parking lot (couldn’t believe it lol). The room was oversized, maybe they should’ve put the whirlpool there. Parking was $15, no valet. Breakfast was expensive, six dollars for a glass of milk, and the food was terrible. The staff was very nice. Housekeeping wasn’t really on it. The location was great, short driving distance to the falls, walking distance to casino.

Although welcome cookie was nice at registration, the rest of our stay was a bit disappointing. The windows were not really clean, the curtains were half-broken, our room was just about the vent system (meaning noisy), and we could overhear conversations late night from next room. Service in restaurant was super-super slow (although once they came, they were nice), so we missed our chance to our helicopter trip. In the evening both paid hotel parkings were completely full, so we had to go to somewhere else. (This latter probably because there was a wedding.)

Only good thing is that you can book your Niagara trips directly next to the reception.

We booked for two days and on the second day we told receptionist to service the room, but they did not touch it even after telling them several times.
Finally after it was “cleaned”, nothing having been done except restocking towels/soap, we then came back to an open door.
Finally we also noticed a blood spot on the sheets and the bed was excessively creaky. Door was unnecessarily hard to close.
Also tourists booking center need to remove from hotel because they are looting people.

Our agent at concierge gave us the utmost welcome greeting during check in and went over and beyond his duties to make us feel at home. We were offered warm chocolate chip cookies and water. We were also given a complimentary upgrade with a jacuzzi type tub and a view that overlooked the Niagara Falls River. The room was spacious and immaculate. We were also given 2 vouchers for breakfast in the restaurant as well as complimentary parking. Fantastic service. Very impressed! This is our new favorite hotel.

Waited 2.5 hrs for a room then finally left due to no eta on when it would be available.
We were advised by front counter to find a spot to wait... everyone was waiting for a room just like us. Limited space, so we asked to grab a table in their restaurant. We explained we were waiting only for our room no interest in eating as we already had prior to our arrival.
The hostess said not a problem. Once we were seated, the waitress come and was very upset that we were in her section and not wanting to order dinner. Mins later their wait staff gathered and were pointing at my tired family that just traveled 8 hrs, and were whispering about us. This continued for a while on and off. We were finally asked to leave bc they had reservations to fill the table... mean while 10 other open tables were available!
I wouldn’t give this hotel or restaurant any of my business again. We left... found another hotel.
