Literally bounced across the Canadian/American border for a weekend. Was a grade A experience and I could not sleep at night if I did not give this hotel a shoutout...which is an understatement. The hotel was the bedrocking foundation of my heavenly visit to Niagra Falls.
You have probably guessed this is a good review for the hotel. It is but it is also a few pointers.
The bathroom lighting is too dim to have designed that nice of a bathroom and then left it dim. Let me look at the place at least. Felt like I was getting ready for the day in a dark alley. Even with all the options of lighting in the bathroom it was still a little dim having over 3 sets of lights on. Not to worry though there are tons of rainbows. Like the entire staff of the in-house restaurant. Yes they have calamari. Dont go to the restaurant with getting full in mind. But for a snack, great service with a smile and to introduce your tastebuds to new beginnings, do it.
I had the most comfort knowing I could come back to my room and dear lord the rooms are so clean and welcoming. Just clean clean clean. Floors clean. Not even lampdust..the TV looked even spotless. If there was a spot I may have missed it because it was spotless. Very clean hotel very happy there. It fit right into the area.
I came clueless to Niagra Falls but ready to walk across borders to find it all out. Very nervous and anxious to what was going to happen after I left the comfort of the environment at the hotel and. In my room.
Knowing the area and being able to walk out the door and go directly to my destinations I knew was likely not going to happen for the short amount of time in a full weekend. I wanted to go to the casinos, the best restaurants, all the atrractions, the whirlpool,on and on yet on foot. Lord Madisen often referred to as the front desk God, needs to be duplicated and all new copies of Him put on the new schedule full time. The schedule should be remade with Front office and guest relations positions filled by the duplicate Lord Madisens. Seriously everyone should only be allowed to to checkin with a Madisen. I do feel confident the rest of the current staff are able to meet demands and able to fix muscles in their faces to make a smile when communicating. I will have to point-out a possible reason for Madisen shining so bright may be to others not shining at all. I did have the pleasure of meeting the General Manager of the Hotel. She was a bright and bubbly face to see and a delight. Her team is wonderful together but others clearly perform better than others in building guest relations. Even watching other checkins some of the staff seemed hostile or as if a stranger arriving at their home to guests during checkin. Maybe possible advancements to some and additional training in these areas for others/all. Has the staff considered certifications in programs provided by AHLEI? Your location could be a prime example for DoubleTree in my opinion.
Again my stay was wonderful. My birthday was loaded with these wonderful cookies, smiles around every corner, smiley housekeeping, good eats, proximity and most importantly and the reason I did it all, the memories.
I made great memories in Canada and Niagra Falls New York because of DoubleTree. But before I end here back to Lord Madisen, he made my lodging history. Not because he checked me in- because he didnt -he just checked my bags early as a nice gesture as I arrived early. It was his initiative to ensuring I was satisfied in my stay. I almost felt as if he went above- above and beyond by ensuring I was satisfied with my stay...at this place in time. New York the area the knowledge the best and worst and must. I took all of his advice and I felt like I won a honeymoon adventure. If it were not for being exposed to superior services by the Managers front office I would have chose to stay at the hotel again even without staff consideration. Including staff I would recommend stay at the hotel if Madisen is present at some point in the experience as well as all housekeeping staff on my dates of stay. Including staff I would dine at the restaurant again. There is a short chocolate wonder with low cut hair in the kitchen she is such a nice person to come across. All of the men working in the bar are some smooth turkeys and the only women I met were the chocolate wonder and a cute and perky manager. Get dressed before heading down. Keep it casual dont be obvious. Cheers there.
Bottom line I was in a safe prime location in a land unknown and had a divine experience based on my decision to book now. If you habe read this far, let it be the sign you should too.
P.S. this is a property that has keyless entry. Use your phone. You can setup the application before arrival.
P.S.2 all that and forgot to mention this is waking distance to everything. Everything is everything. If the hotel were any closer to the falls it would Fall inn!
Staff I wanted to share some photos to say thank you for assiting me in these experiences. It was wonderful. Walk out of the hotels backside, BAM theres the state park entry (as pictured). I went hiking both sides of the falls, dined at the Skyrestaurant at the Hilton there in Canada, wow, the maid of the mist, casinos all of it. Get wore out come let my muscles rest with your amazing pool area. I need to book again just thinking and reviewing it.
True Life: I have been baptised in hospitality.
