I don't even know where to start with this awful place. I rented 2 separate rooms for a Naval graduation. One of the rooms was a jacuzzi room. I used our military discount that saved a few dollars which I thought was very nice. However upon checkout I was told that was really the reason the rooms were so gross and disgusting.
The sheets and the bed covers were dirty. They had a brown substance that was on the sheets that went through to the mattress. The carpet should have been thrown away it was so stained. The fridge was gone. The bathroom was filthy with hair in the corners of the floor that wasn't ours. If anyone wants pictures I have plenty. When I complained that my husband was a navy veteran and we were very disappointed in the room, I was told by the front desk that the Vet that stayed before us wrecked the room! So they knew it was nasty and put us in it anyway. However the jacuzzi room was nasty as well. Big hair balls from someone's brush were on the floor and paint was all over the bedding. I am so ashamed they would put anyone in these rooms but to treat someone who served our country this bad is deplorable. The only good thing is how close it is to the naval base. If anyone wants pictures I will be posting them soon.

Thank you for staying with us and your feedback, I do apologize for your horrible experience. Our housekeepers work extra hard on keeping these rooms spotless. We always check our rooms before our reservation to guarantee a fresh room. We know our families that stay with us have had a long tiring trip. The last thing we want is for someone to go in to a dirty room. We make sure all our rooms have clean fresh linen. In any case if we come across stained linen we throw them away. Our team would have never put in a dirty room, now if the room was not up to your standard we were just a phone call away and would have been more than happy to accommodate you.

Checked in at 11am, they charged $40.00 for early check-in. Staff said the room available was bigger than what I was assigned too. I reminded them I needed a crib; charged $20.00. I was also informed that if the towels are stained from me removing makeup, my credit card will be charged to replace the towel. When we got to the room, it was small w/large pieces of furniture. The fridge was located in an old beaten up draw/cabinet. The fridge was filthy with no shelves. Walls were damaged looks like they were repairing holes. There was a glass night stand that immediately became a hazard to my 15 month old. The bathroom counter didn’t have a cabinet so the pipes were exposed, my 4 year thought was cool. We immediately complained to front desk. Their response was every hotel is different. I told them that the room is horrible at which point the woman who identified her self as the “manager” became defensive. I immediately responded back that I took pictures to prove it and could show her. She didn’t want to hear it. She said she was busy and that the hotel would do nothing to compensate me. I asked her to please refund my money so I can go to another place to stay and my family could be comfortable. She refused saying it was against their policy. So now we were forced to stay in this over priced hell hole. Around 6pm I started calling the front desk regarding the crib. The same “manager” said their guy was not back yet from buying it. I called 6 times about the status of the crib, just to have the same “manager” sound annoyed. By 9pm IL time -10:00pm NY time, I received a port-a-crib that didn’t fit in the room. The next morning my husband went down and spoke to the front staff, and he was informed that no refunds was their policy and they couldn’t do anything about it. Website said they provide transportation to graduation. Somewhat true, but you have to pay $6.00 each for a limo even for the children; by the way no car seats are available. After graduation, my husband finally argued with the “manager” about getting our money back for the early check-in and crib, which we did receive. Our room was clean, but when I asked for a garbage bag to put in the garbage cans in our room I was told no. At check-out was surprised to find out manager was a man not the person we have been dealing with. I asked if I need to do anything to check out, “manager” promptly responded no. Never asked how my stay was, probably because they would get a response they would like.

Hello Trip Advisor Member, Thank you for taking the time and submitting your feedback pertaining to your stay. First of all our hotel is not a hell hole. We would appreciate that you use proper language. The optional early check-in fee was due to your early arrival. Check in time is anytime after 3:00pm. We offered you a room so you could be comfortable and relax. Once you were not happy with the early check in room, the front desk host offered you the original room assinged to your reservation located on the first floor. Your husband declined to see it and move your family into the room. So we did try to accommodate your family. At that time we also stated to your husband that we would refund the early check in fee and the free for the crib, however you never returned back to the desk for the refund. Must read our policy and rules so you read and understand, plus initial the terms of our policy which states if you remove or damage any linens or appliances from the hotel premises, a full replacement fee will be charged to your credit card. Many guests do not read what they are initialling so our front desk is kindly alerting you of our policy. Many guest mention that we should of told them of this policy so now we are verbally alerting our guests. This also minimizes on replacement costs and providing our guests with stain free towels. The night stand you were referring to has wood supporting the glass. The bathroom sink pipes are not exposed because it has a paneling to cover the pipes. However kids will be kids and will get in where you least expect them to. As parents, it is our responsibility to keep an eye on them and make sure they don’t get hurt. We understand your concern pertaining to your child however hotel rooms are not meant to be child proof. I understand your concerns for your child and the concern of making it very comfortable for them and that is also our goal that everyone that stays with us is happy and comfortable. I believe we gone above and beyond to accommodate you and your family. I notice you also said that the "manager" didn't care and was busy, you did come to speak with me at the same time I was checking in many guests that were also coming for the graduation. It was not the appropriate time to discuss the same concerns you had already address to us in the morning. Ever since you have checked in the hotel we have been trying to accommodate you and resolve any issues you had. It wasn't that we were ignoring you, it was more that we wanted to provide all our guests great service. I do apologize if we didn't get the port a crib to you in a timely manner. We had a full house and were trying to accommodate everyone, it’s always a challenge, but we did it! I remember your husband come down to ask for the crib but in no way did he mentioned of refund to me. We purchased a brand new crib for our guests and didn't not arrive on time. However we did provide you with a brand new crib a little bit later. Pertaining to all these concerns that you had with our hotel in no way did we hold you against your will. You had the option to check out. In fact we tried everything to accommodate you even changing rooms. We also refunded you the fee for the crib and the early check in fee. To make it clear, your husband and the hotel staff never got into an argument, your husband was a quiet gentlemen he was kind and calm when asking for the update on the crib. The shuttle, we didn't realize they charged for children. We will discuss this with the shuttle provider. The shuttle does not provide child car seats. It is the parents responsibility to provide this. Whether you are flying or driving a car seat should be brought with you. We also noticed that you drove into town, so you should of had a car seat that could've used in the Limo. Pertaining to the garbage cans our hotel does not use plastic garbage bags, we are trying to be an eco friendly hotel and our housekeeping cleans the garbage cans everyday. When you checked out we wished you a safe trip back home when you were walking out the door. There is no need to ask you how your stay with us was as we already resolved every issue with you additionally refunded the crib fee and early check in fee. Overall we did an awesome job during the weekend you stayed with us. Due to the fact you that you were the only guest that had complaints and issues during the entire weekend. We hope you still had a wonderful time with your graduate. We wish you good luck in the future.

Made reservations in advance w/ a special request. Arrived late afternoon and received room as requested. Room was clean and comfortable. The location was 1 mile from Naval Training Ctr. Liked the fact that there were restaurants in close proximity. Ice machine was in working condition. Lighted and secure parking. Would definitely stay here another time.

I think it's a shame that you take advantage of the families that are in town for the Navy Graduation. When I called one month prior to change my arrangements my card had been charged without my permission. The place is so run down and smells like smoke. Totally not worth the stay.

Thank you for your feedback about our hotel. First, we apologize for your unpleasant stay and not meeting your expectations. Second, let me make it very clear that we do not take advantage of naval families. We do not appreciate your judgement with an untrue statement. We take this statement personally and are very offended. We have gone above and beyond for naval families and to be announced as a hotel taking advantage of families is out of line. Being charged a month in advance may be based on your rate plan. If you noticed a charge you were more than welcome to call the hotel for additional information. The hotel is 100% NON SMOKING. We are very strict on these standards to create a neutral environment for all guests. Now, if a guests violates our policy and decides to smoking in the hotel guest room or entrance ways we cannot directly control that. But to make a generalized statement that the hotel smells like smoke it incorrect and untrue. Once we have located a guest that is smoking we would neutralize the air and try to regain the proper air quality for all guests. The hotels areas are tastefully decorated. Once again thank you for your review it empowers us to do better and also differentiate the fact from opinion.

We made reservations for our Sons Graduation from the Navy Boot Camp almost a month and half before we needed the room. One member of our party got a room but then when we tried to get a room at the same time the clerk said sorry no more rooms we overbooked. So they can take a reservation they just forgot how to hold the reservation. The other member of our party was not allowed to cancel because her payment already went through and they would not reimburse her. They tried to send us to their sister location which was a very old rundown Motel that was right on the main drag and looked rather seedy. Needless to say they knew why we were there and probably figured that we will never be back anyway so why take care of us. However because of this I can assure you we will never book at a Days Inn anywhere.

Upon arrival, which was earlier than expected, our room wasnt ready so the clerk said he had an upgraded room for $70 more with microwave and refrigerator. When we entered NO microwave. NO refrigerator! The soap in tray was used. Bathtub had a huge crack which i thought was dangerous since i was traveling with children, night table and head board peeling and damaged,We paid for "upgraded " room and it took hours for my microwave and refrigerator to arrive. i had to go to front desk to explain i didnt have what i paid for and no one knew what i was talking about. when the microwave/refrigerator arrived(from a room down the hall), it didnt have carousel for our meals. Pictures available upon request. in all fairness the staff was very helpful when i needed cab service. i feel these accommodations were not worth $354 for 2 nights. since the room didn't have the "upgrades" when we got there, i feel i shouldn't have been charged more for this room since the amenities weren't there to begin with!!! . i think your employees took advantage of us and pulled a fast one. I think i may share my experience on social media so this doesn't happen to anyone else!!!

Asked front desk for taxi.. No taxi came. Asked for resturant suggestions.. Popeyes was their answer. Dirty room. NO CRIB when I called to verify there was a crib. Made a pallet with towels on the FLOOR. Maid service came and folded the floor towels and returned them to the bathroom... Rather than providing new towels. Room stunk, sheets had hair, someone opened my door 2 times within 3 seconds of knocking on 2 seperate occasions. I was nursing my son so couldn't yell that there was someone in the room. "Breakfast" is a wrinkly apple or orange, waffle, or plain toast. Overall a horrible hotel. NEVER returning and quite honestly would like my money back.

I stayed at the days inn for my nephews graduation from navy boor camp. I picked that motel because it was close to the bsse. We were 4 people in one room and 2 in another room. In the room with 4 people they only gave two bath towels, I had to ask for more towels . They don't clean the rooms completely every day , they only empty the the garbage pails, they didnt vacuum the 4 days I was there, I had to change the room key several times because it wouldn't work, there was something on the floor of the bathroom from the first day and they never picked it up. When I complained at the desk the guy at the desk said he would have the owner call me because I showed him how the room was never cleaned. All I got was a call from someone else at the desk not the owner and she said that is their policy. I didn't get any credit for staying in a room that they didn't clean and I had to make the bed everyday. I was upset that the owner didn't call me and I still had to pay $800.. I made sure I posted on Facebook to our military family's not to stay there.

There are so many better deals nearby. This place is filthy. The lady at the front was incredibly friendly and very helpful but she was the only thing good about this place. They are overpriced and capitalizing on being close to the Navy base. Do a little research if you're going for a Navy graduation and find a hotel nearby.
