Chicago, Illinois is one of the largest cities in the Americas and the centre of the Midwest United States.

Many visitors make a point to stop by Soldier Field, the home of the Chicago Bears, an American Football team in the National Football league.

Other frequented attractions include the Navy Pier, the Hancock Observatory and the Skydeck at the Willis-Sears Tower. The latter two offer unbelievable views of Chicago and the surrounding areas from high above the city streets.

Chicago has two major airports just outside of the city. O’Hare International (airport code ORD) is the larger of the two and is one of the busiest airports in the world. In 2009 O’Hare served just fewer than 64.4 million passengers on over 880,000 flights. Those flights depart to essentially every city around the United States and more than 60 international cities.

O’Hare is a hub for both American Airlines and United Airlines. Another 55 airlines fly out of O’Hare including both major international carriers and regional carriers.

Chicago Midway International Airport (airport code MDW) is the smaller of the two major airports, although it served an impressive 17 million passengers in 2009 on more than 250,000 flights. It is a major crossing point for Southwest Airlines flights. Only eight other airlines fly out of Midway.
