Carefully decorated, the hotel seeks comfort in a stylish and cosmopolitan atmosphere. I can’t rate this hotel any higher! From the moment we arrived we were blown away with how modern, clean and welcoming the hotel was. The rooms are spacious, large comfy beds and coffee machine. The rooms were cleaned daily and the shower is amazing! The room also had window blinds which blocked out so much light we never had a clue what time it was! We didn’t eat at the hotel but had plenty of drinks on the rooftop bar before venturing out into town, we felt for a city centre hotel the prices were reasonable. The staff were all lovely but the main shout out must go to Sergio who was absolutely fantastic, he checked us in, gave us a map with areas he recommended we visit. When we returned from dropping out cases in he had written down a list of bars and restaurants he thought we’d like, his ideas were fab. Sergio really deserves acknowledgement, give this guy a pay rise, he was so pleasant and knowledgable and really did make our stay.

All in all we really loved this hotel! So stylish, spacious and architecturally unique, yet still in a traditional building. The location was great (on a pretty little side street) just near the main square. I would recommend to anyone staying in Barcelona!!

My only gripe, which i can’t necessarily knock it for but just want to mention, is that the rooftop pool and lounge area is quite small (albeit beautiful) and therefore availability of getting a relaxing spot for an hour or two is difficult. I understand that this is a given with the city location, but my problem is when selfish people hog the few sunbeds all day. They put their towels on them to go to lunch and the staff vouch for them and say others can’t use them when you’ve been sat waiting for an hour and the folks have been sat having their lunch elsewhere for 45 minutes with no end in sight with their beds “reserved”. In my opinion, there should be a policy in place— if you leave your bed for a long period of time you give it up and give chance for other guests to enjoy, especially given the small area.

Thank you very much for your comment Georgia. We are very pleased to know that both the style of our facilities, our spaciousness in the rooms and the location of the hotel, right in the city centre, have seemed perfect for your stay in the city. As you have well commented, the privilege of having a terrace like ours, with the views, the bar and our solarium and pool area is one of the reasons why travellers choose us. That's why the popularity of this increases in the hottest months, when our guests seek to make the most of their experience. We understand your words and, although it is a complicated task to maintain control of it, we will look for the faintest way for everyone to enjoy the terrace equally, always with the aim of increasing the comfort and happiness of our guests. We hope you don’t take long to return to Barcelona and have an experience as pleasant as this last time!

We have just returned from a 4 night stay and are so happy with our choice of hotel. The staff are friendly, the hotel is absolutely spotless and the roof top bar a perfect place to enjoy a cocktail at the end of a day of sightseeing. The mojitos and old-fashioned come recommended. There is also a small gym and spa with a couple of loungers which was great for popping in to cool off as the jacuzzi is of a cooler temperature (towels are provided). There was also a steam room in this area. Our room was modern with a coffee machine (with good quality coffee pods), kettle, mini bar and free safe. The bathroom had a good shower, amazing smelling toiletries, hairdryer, weighing scales (they didn't get used but good for suitcase weighing maybe!) but note there are no dressing gowns. We normally stay in the Poble Nou district but this is the perfect location for being on the doorstep of everything touristy without being on a busy street. We are sad to have left and can't wait to visit again and have recommended to others.

Amazing location! The hotel is beautiful and the staff is friendly. The rooms are spacious and clean and so was the bathroom. The pool area is great and pretty quiet (we went in May and there was always a bed by the pool).

The major issue we had which was quite a big disappointment was that the room (we paid 300€ a night) did not provide any small lotions, or slippers or bathrobe… or even small water. Which is standard and minimum requirement for a hotel of this price.
Our room was also located on the 5th floor (just underneath the poo area) and chairs on the terrace were moved very early in the morning which woke us all up. This wasn’t great.

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely hotel which is situated in a great location in central Barcelona. We arrived early for check-in & were invited to use any of the hotel facilities whilst waiting for our room. Once checked in we were greeted with a complementary bottle of Cava. Everything was very clean and comfortable. As we were a family of five, we had a double room & a triple room with three single beds which was great.

What really stood out were the staff- they couldn't do enough for us, they gave us recommendations for local restaurants, sightseeing etc. A special mention has to go to Adam, who dropped an iron into our room within minutes of us asking, arranged a taxi to get us to the airport & generally made us feel very welcome. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Barcelona.!

Great hotel in convenient location, which enables easy walking throughout the city. Rooms and rooftop were clean at all times, staff were really friendly and helpful. We could leave our bags before and after we checked out. We hired bikes and brought these back overnight which were safely stored. Did not eat at the hotel, so unable to comment on food. Air con in rooms, powerful and hot shower, coffee machine and hairdryer provided. Daily room cleans were thorough. The rooftop is great to relax and have a drink in the sun. Towels are provided with the pool and there is a small single changing room with a shower on the rooftop.

The hotel was in a perfect location. Close to everything you want to see. The rooms are small but completely new and beautifully decorated. The rooftop bar was beautiful! Only down side is unless you book a superior room they are all interior rooms meaning no window. ( there are windows but they are of a tiny interior patio that faces right into someone else’s room , therefore you have to keep shades down unless you want to stare directly into your neighbors face)
The best part of our stay was Andrea! She was the kindest most helpful front desk receptionist we have ever encountered. She went out of her way to make sure we were having the best experience. She sent us off everyday with a bottled water for our journey, made sure we knew where we were going by providing us a map with directions. Simply the best! It actually hurt to say goodbye to her.

This hotel is strategically located in the Gothic Quarter, steps away from wonderful local eateries, shops (both big department stores and small boutiques), attractions, major walking thoroughfares, and buses (there is even a nail salon across the street). The rooms are spacious, very clean and have well placed cubby holes for your clothes. There is even a bar (not alcoholic) under the desk for your shoes (there is a mini bar too, just to clarify). There is also a coffee maker in the room (Nespresso). There is a blow dryer in the room which works really well. There are USB ports for phone charging. Our superior room had a small balcony typical of this area (meaning you have to room to stand, no sitting). The roof top bar, pool and lounge area are only for hotel guests and provide some nice views of the City. We were greeted every day by hotel staff with friendly dispositions offering wonderful suggestions for restaurants and how to get around. Shout out to Munia at the front desk who always had a great recommendation up her sleeve and to Adam who was always engaging in conversation and attentive to whatever we needed. English is spoken well, so no need to panic with translations. If you love old world charm, you want to stay here. I would definitely stay here again.

I have to say the hotel itself is great, with a lovely reception, and a great rooftop pool/bar. It is located perfectly within short walking distance to great areas like El Born / Gothic Quarter and 20mins walk to Barceloneta.

However, we had a really poor experience upon check in where they lost our booking despite us check-in earlier that day upon arrival, which left a bad first impression. The rooftop bar was also massively understaffed with often only one member of staff having to cater for everyone up there both on the terraza and pool-side. That being said Adam was an absolute star throughout the whole trip, working tirelessly to ensure we were happy, providing great recommendations on where to eat and on one occasion actually taking us to a restaurant next door to ensure we got a table! Adam is a credit to the hotel.

The other disappointment was with the room. It was a very clean and nice room but very small, especially given we stayed a week, perhaps it would be OK for just a couple of nights. We were also disappointed to find that our room was actually an interior room where the only window was over an internal atrium where you looked directly into opposite rooms. This was never called out on the booking, which felt a little disingenuous, especially given the pictures on their site of the room we booked had a room facing outside.

Dear Jonathan, we appreciate your sincerity in your comment and regret that the hotel has not met your expectations. We appreciate your words about our location and your assessment of our staff, especially Adam. We sincerely believe that the size of our rooms is ideal for enjoying a long stay in the city, but we let you know that we also have our superior rooms, which are more spacious and can help you have an even more comfortable stay. The fact that we are located in a privileged place such as the Gothic Quarter, does not allow us to have great views of the city from the room, but we believe that it is compensated by the views obtained from our terrace. A terrace that has the staff to get all the work done, but there can always be specific moments that slow down the pace of work. We hope that the rest of the services we offer in the hotel have been to your liking and we hope that you will give us another chance in the future, I'm sure it will be much better this one!

About 45 euros, 1.5km about 20 minutes walk. As for best beach, not the nearest as we thought is was dirty and full of hawkers. Not a patch on Malaga or Alicante.
