Detailed Reviews

We ended up there by chance and ended up staying a few nights. Spots by the river are lovely but a bit tight as others mention but compared to nearby Okanagan prices it is good value. What they don’t have is disabled access. Shower stalls are tiny and not able to sit down in them with step down. Toilets are tiny with no way of manoeuvring. They are trying to keep campers distanced in showers and toilets which is good and they are kept clean.
Highway is busy in the daytime so noisy but not bad at night. Trees along highway would be good to dampen noise. 30amp power and water. No sewer but dump as you leave which is a bit tight to get into with a big rig.

Ok for one or two nights, although found it overpriced for partial hookups. We camped mid October and it was $52.50 with no sewer. Nice to be on the river. Also there is a good golf course across the street.

This campground is located on a very pretty river. Many of the sites back onto the river and the price is reasonable.

The problem is the size of the sites. The are too small. We were as far over as we could get and our awning extended into the next site. Thankfully we had no neighbours. Would have been awful otherwise. This campground is right off the highway, with no trees between to deaden the noise. A lot of highway noise.

We went with friends in a group of three rv’s (booked adjacent sites) we felt sites were large and well laid out. Ours had water and 30 amp power. Site has clean washrooms and free showers!! beautiful flat grass setting right along the river treed with evergreens, tons to do nearby. We stayed for four nights, and had a super interesting family activity to do everyday without having to drive very far. Some might not be a fan of the road noise being set right along/below the highway(separated by a steep bank/15-20’ elevation difference), but it didn’t bother us at all plus theres that lovely river sound too so it kind of counters it - and Its not on a hill so no loud engine brakes from semis. Half the sites are right along the riverfront, and the other half were on the other side of the single paved lane running thru the campground. Kids loved riding their bikes on the lane all day. There are some activities/games set up and a swing set. Make sure to Check out the museum in town! And if you are up for a scenic half hour drive, the sandy beaches of otter lake in Tulameen is a great daytrip/picnic with the kids!

Easily the worst Campground on our 30 day camping trip through WA and southern BC. A Camp Host more intent on enforcing the camp rules than making guests feel welcome. Showers than were very poor and unclean. Worst of all was the horrendous 24 hour noise from the adjacent highway. A camp ground to avoid at all costs if you want to feel welcome and a chance for a quiet nights (or day) stay in this otherwise very pleasant town.

After listening to loud music next to us, we asked them to turn it down. They complied.
Five minutes later the camp host, with his beer in hand, came and gave us a scolding. He told us it was a park and if we didn’t like the music we could stay in our RV. We left 2 days early. We wrote a letter to the municipality and never received a reply.

This was my first stop as a novice camper, but it was the best place for a test run. It has everything you need, it's close to the highway, right next to a nice little river, the host was extremely nice and made you feel welcome, and even my fellow campers were very helpful when I ran into some little issues. WHo doesn't want to have their supper outside by the river?

Friendly and helpful camp hosts who keep the place clean and a beautiful well watered garden. Lots of wild life on a beautiful spot on the river. Looked cramped when we drove in however felt very private once we were all set up.

Two weeks traveling through Rockies and East Kootenays. Have to say this is by far the dirtiest and least friendly place we visited. Trash everywhere, grungy bathrooms and a camp host who was anything but welcoming. Sorry to have put you out. Won't do it again.

At first we look to another place, but there was only bad lots for tenting. So we find this lovely Campground. All places are very clean - some of them didn´t have firepits. The Host-Couple is so friendly and give us a good tip for the nice Walk in the Birds Sanctuary.
It was a succesfull stay here.

"River view! So you are further from the highway noise and get the pretty water bubbling behind you. Same price as the highway side."
