Family trip for a long weekend. Hotel in situated centrally in a beautiful location. The hotel itself is stunning and so well presented. The staff are the main asset here. All so friendly and helpful. We had a beautiful room, we loved the rooftop terrace where the pool and bar were located. I left my mobile phone in a tact at the airport and the hotel arranged for it ot be shipped back. Will definitely be back!

I was surprised at how bad this hotel was in some ways and great in others. First the bad. After asking to stay in a quiet room, we were put on the 5th floor underneath the bar. Whenever someone moved a chair you could hear it our room, as there was not much sound proofing between floors. So this noise continued all night until the bar closed at 23:00.
More bad: The bed in room was simply awful. The mattress was one of the worst I’ve experienced and that includes hotel at 1/2 the price of this one.
So after one night I was moved to another room. Now the noise from above was just the occupants in the room above us, not nearly as bad as the bar. And the mattress was much better. But wait….there was a new issue with this room: The thermostat had been programmed to do strange things. Whenever the temp of the room hit the target temperature, the AC would turn off, and it would not turn back on. So the room would then get quite warm and not comfortable to sleep in. When the AC was on it would change temperatures on its own. I would set it to 22 C and I’d check in 30 minute and it would be at 16 C. Or I’d set it for 19C and own its own it would change to 24C. It was maddening. It’s not worth going into all the details but by night 3 a workaround issue was put in place which solved the issue.
The great part of this hotel is the staff. There was one fellow in particular who cared about the issues we were having about as much as I did. He was instrumental in implementing the workaround solution with the thermostat. And everyone else was helpful and kind.
The breakfast buffet was reasonable for the price. The fixtures and design of the rooms is well done.
But I would not go back to this hotel. I expect more from a 4 star hotel.

The first request that we understood on your reservation was that you prefered the highest possible floor and for this reason we prepared one room for you in the 5th floor. Then you informed us that this floor was very noisy for your stay, so we changed to the 4rth floor. Refering the aircon I remember that we fixed through the reception but you had also an air control inside the room that our colleague Josh checked that was inverted on heat mode.
I agree with you that maybe this was not the type of hotel that you was looking for your holidays, this is a little boutique hotel and for the size and structure, maybe we had not all that you previously were expecting. We also humbly learn not to like, even if it is hard.
In any way, we want to assure you that we take all feedback seriously as an opportunity to improve our services and facilities.

The hotel is conveniently located in Gothic quarter with a lot of good restaurants nearby. We stayed in a triple room but it’s still really small. It’s clean and amenities are modern. The front desk staff, Pablo and other staff, go above and beyond helping me to find activities for my 10yo girl. They are so patient and very helpful!! Recommend for everyone and would definitely stay here again!

We spent three nights at the Catalonia Magdalenes after disembarking our cruise. This was the perfect place to relax and unwind. The bedroom was lovely, with a fabulous bathroom. The staff could not have been more helpful, especially Simo who went out of his way to help us make the most of our two days there. Our room had a lovely little balcony overlooking the street, which was very quiet, especially at night. The bed was huge and very comfortable and the a/c worked perfectly. We can't wait to go back.
