There are no words to describe many pleasant surprises waiting for guests in the Catalonia Magdalenas hotel. A great rooftop bar and swimming pool, gym and spa, clean and tidy rooms, great breakfasts are just the tip of an iceberg that lies on the rock-solid foundation of hospitality, attentiveness and proactivity of the hotel staff that fulfill the guest’s wishes even before they knew they had them. Adam, Nadya and many others are the exemplary young staff members. We will remember their service even more fondly than the great architecture and museums that we visited in this beautiful city. Highly recommendable!

The hotel was refurbished in the last two years. It is very modern and clean. The location in the Gothic Quarter is excellent and the roof lounge area is great. Good value for the price. This is a good place to stay!

located in the hart of the old town, this is a totally new building, recently opened, with a very design style.
Very nice architecture, starting from the street.
efficient check in , and more generally efficient front desk, with good advice on places to go or to dine.
very pleasant room , with everything you need.
Breakfast served in a pleasant room in the basement , is really outstanding.
Finally they have a rooftop bar with a very small pool -really only for kids - where tapas are offered late afternoon.
Very nice architecture, starting from the street.

I just came back tonight from a long weekend with one of my good friends We were sharing a room. We had booked a twin-bedroom "double room" their first room category. We were allocated room 510 on the 5th floor.
The hotel is ideally located: right in the center of the Gothic Quarter, 2 minutes' walk from the cathedral. Yet it's on a quiet side street. Perfect for exploring Barcelona on foot. The hotel is modern and very clean, with a sober, modern, and elegant decor.
We were very satisfied with our room, with one exception: the washbasin in the room, which is a completely absurd idea, especially nowadays. It's important to know this and to check before booking a room. Next time, I'll make sure I do not get such a room.
The welcome products are of high quality. It's a pity the hotel does not offer body lotion (it's a 4* Hotel).
For these 2 reasons (wash basin in the room and absence of body lotion) I do not give a 5 but I will come back.
The top floor has a small swimming pool and bar. As we had a busy schedule, we didn't take advantage of it. We didn't take the breakfast option as we had other plans.
In conclusion, perfect hotel in a perfect location.

Don’t hesitate to book this hotel as it has everything you need for a stay in Barcelona - the location is ideal, the rooms are excellent and spotlessly clean, it has a rooftop bar and pool but above all the customer service from start to finish is first class. All communication with the hotel before we arrived was dealt with promptly and every member of staff you encounter are so pleasant and helpful. I definitely recommend the Sangria from the rooftop bar. I’ve stayed in a number of other hotels in Barcelona and have to rate this as my favourite. Try it and you won’t be disappointed.
