Gem of a hotel in top location

What a wonderful hotel in a great location in the Gothic quarter! Easy walking distance to the Cathedral, natural history museum, La Rambla and many other attractions. There are several supermarkets close by with a mini mart next door and a large Carrefour market 5 mins walk. Plenty of bars, places to eat and other shops close by as well. The rooms are a decent size and extremely comfortable, modern and clean. Breakfast is very good with a large buffet spread, lovely fresh juices and eggs cooked to order. Finally, the staff are very friendly and extremely helpful. Special shout out and thanks to Simo at the front desk, as the morning we left he ordered us a taxi which, due to rain and Monday traffic, didn't arrive. Next thing he went dashing down the road in the rain, returning in a taxi he had hailed in the street for us. Now that's service! Highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here if in Barcelona again.

Gem of a hotel

What a gem of a hotel. Perfect location, posh and excellent staff.

Simo was the best extremely helpful with recommendations on food places to see. Roof top patio a nice perk.

Incredible location in the gothic district and easy to walk. Rooms are great comfy beds nespresso in your room.

Made our visit to Barcelona before our cruise the best ever

Amazing rooftop bar & hotel

Amazing rooftop bar with amazing views and amazing staff. Silverio is the reason we keep returning for drinks every afternoon. He has great recommendations, amazing energy and is very kind and welcoming. Silverio is the man! Great service. We will absolutely be returning back to this hotel and rooftop bar

Highly recommend this hotel

We enjoyed our time at the Catalonia Magdelena. The hotel was walking distance to most of the main points of interest (La Boqueria, waterfront, Gothic quarters). The hotel staff was very friendly; helped us arrange for 5am taxi pick-up. Would highly recommend!

Excellent Spot

Loved our stay at Catalonia Magdalenes! The hotel is nestled in a quiet spot, but steps away from all the action. The staff were friendly and very helpful in suggesting great restaurants and giving various tips to explore the city. Pablo from the front desk made a dinner reservation to an excellent restaurant and we were seated in an extra special spot with a champagne gift from the hotel.

The rooftop area provided a nice place to relax at the end of our day and Sara was so pleasant and even gave us some tips on our next destination in Spain. Jorge made an excellent sangria too!
