June/July are always the busiest for me. This year I juggled #Cannes, my birthday, daughter graduating, an impending move, and soon sending my youngest to #RiceUniversity. Even with a full plate, I was compelled to say "yes" when I had the opportunity to #mentor an amazing Latina for the NAHJ (National Association of Hispanic Journalists)'s 2024 #Latina Leadership Program.
If you know Victoria Moll-Ramírez, you'll know why this was such a special opportunity for me. She is a powerhouse at ABCNews and a part of the Adelante Academy at NAHJ. They are dedicated to empowering the next generation of Hispanic #journalists through leadership development, mentorship, and hands-on projects. Victoria reached out to see if I would support her as she conducted important research on Latino #representation in news media.
The culmination of Victoria's work will be presented this week at the #NAHJ40th Annual Conference in Los Angeles https://lnkd.in/gJGNw8Rj. What an honor to be in the company of amazing Latina mentors like Lori Montenegro and Maria Elena Salinas and more - truly top notch and such an impressive cohort of #Latina executives in the #newsroom. These dedicated women are shaping the future of journalism and ensuring diverse voices are heard.

I am excited to announce that I recently accepted a full time position as the Department Coordinator & Research Analyst on the Business Inclusion, Impact & Belonging team at Nielsen!
When I started as an intern at Nielsen Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, nearly one year ago now, I had no idea that it would turn into this. I am so thrilled about the opportunity to continue working alongside this amazing group on meaningful projects that have a significant impact not only on Nielsen’s future, but on the future of the entertainment industry as a whole.
