Time to #celebrate Insights Lighthouse! Did you know that we started the #community in January of this year? It's impressive how quickly we are growing and how many incredible #people and #companies support the movement to elevate the #voice of the #Insights and #DataIntelligence industry! When we started, there was a debate about whether to call ourselves "#Insights #Lighthouse" or "#Business #Growth #Lighthouse" to be more explicit and not alienate people… We had the courage to use the term "#insights" as it represents the core of what we do. However, we had to explain to many senior people what "insights" stands for when we ran our first event at the World Economic Forum in #Davos or engage with healthcare representatives and explain our relevance to them. It's incorrect to consider that #insights are mainly linked to marketing or serve the needs of the CPG industry. Insights can be the engine of business growth for any successful company. A week ago, Insights Lighthouse hosted its very first full-day event at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. It was my first time at Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, celebrating game-changing, business-driving, and culture-shifting creativity. The festival was a whirlwind of inspiration, new connections, shared experiences, and fun. I loved the energy, positivity, and the beach stages that facilitated open-minded discussions, along with unexpected guests like Elon Musk and Paris Hilton. It was a truly amazing experience! The main themes revolved around the power of #people-centricity, #human obsession, and the role of #AI. “#AI done correctly will create MIA: #Marketing, #Insights, #Anticipation. People are now looking for answers, not information. They want Anticipation - can you anticipate what I want before I want it? But that requires more than AI. It requires Insights. Insights become the differentiator. The third component, Marketing, is based on magic. Yet, beneath the glitz and glamour lies a powerful, often overlooked force that propels this creativity to new heights: human insights. Transforming Data into Creative Gold. At Cannes Lions, you're immersed in dozens of talks, panels, and serendipitous encounters. A common theme emerges: after mastering data ownership, everyone strives to transform data into insights that spark ideas and drive decisions for profitable action. I was proud to see CMOs from leading companies (many of whom we at Hotspex proudly partner with) confirm their reliance on human insights to build brand superiority and singularity. To effectively harness human insights and turn data into actionable strategies, consider the following: 1. Observe consumers in buying situations to understand real-world behaviour: Mind the say-do gap. 2. Utilize cognitive computational and causal models with superior predictive power: Don't confuse noise with insight. 3.
