Wes Nelson has devastated fans by revealing his planned performance in Zante has been cancelled due to 'circumstances beyond his control.'

The former Love Island star, 26, admitted that he was 'gutted' and had been 'looking forward' to performing at Sizzle Club Zante, with his fellow villa alum Jack Fowler also on the lineup.

However, Wes took to his Instagram Stories to share he'd been 'told' that the show had been called off, writing: 'Due to circumstances out of my control. I've been told my show in Zante tomorrow is cancelled.

'Gutted for any of you that are out there, I was looking forward to this one.'

On his Story on Friday, Wes filmed himself sight-seeing in Spain after he and his friend almost missed their flight after enjoying beer and tequila at the airport.

The pair are in the country now, currently exploring Barcelona, and Wes asked his fans where he should visit.

But Zante is not the first gig the star has cancelled this year.

In April, Wes scrapped his nationwide spring tour, scheduled to begin that spring.

He planned to perform several intimate gigs, but said he had to move the dates to later in 2024 instead.

Wes again took to his Instagram to break the news to fans, insisting that the decision was out of his hands.

After finding fame on Love Island in 2018, Wes turned to music and is now a mutimillionaire.

He is currently signed to international label Sony Music Entertainment which he told fans would soon lead to his own record label, Foot Down Records.

This would allow him to release music independently while still receiving support from Sony.

Wes is known for his songs Nice To Meet Ya, See Nobody, and Abracadabra with Craig David.

He returned to Love Island in February for the programme's first ever All Stars series and was joined by Craig whilst he risked an awkward run-in with his ex Arabella Chi.

In March, Wes admitted he was 'not thinking about his ex' when he made the appearance.

Speaking exclusively to MailOnline, at the Lynx fragrance event in London, Wes revealed he was 'focused on sounding great' and was not 'bothered' about seeing his former flame.
