Bryan Abasolo shared the text message he sent to Rachel Lindsay before filing for divorce last year.

Amid the estranged couple's acrimonious divorce battle, the chiropractor, 44, made a new filing, in which he denied that he filed for divorce before telling her in an abrupt text.

Earlier this year in January, it was revealed that Abasolo filed for divorce on December 31, 2023 — citing 'irreconcilable differences' and asking for spousal support.

Previously, The Bachelorette vet — who was a contestant in the 21st season of The Bachelor and the lead in the 13th season of the spinoff series — claimed she was 'shocked' to learn he officially filed via a text he sent to her as he left their house.

'Approximately 30 minutes after he left the house, he sent me a text message that simply read "Hey … I just wanted to let you know that I officially filed,"' the reality TV personality, 39, stated in a June 26 filing.

Despite knowing they 'were separating and would be headed toward divorce,' she said she was surprised and responded: 'Wait, what?'

However, Abasolo denied her claims and countered in a new filing, saying that Lindsay — with whom he was married for four years — was not actually 'surprised or shocked.'

She '[failed] to disclose' that he sent her a text message stating his intentions to take their separation to 'the next step' and file for divorce, he said in new court documents obtained by People.

In the recent filing, he provided the text message he sent to her, which read: 'Rachel, walking in to the room because I didn't reply to your text per your timeline then raise your voice for not getting the immediate answer you want is the kind of one-sided controlling aspects of our relationship which has brought us to this point.'

The message continued: 'My inability to communicate, as you've called it, is to prevent these kinds of reactions.

'It often feels like you must have what you want without considering any state of mind I'm in,' he added in his text to Lindsay, according to the outlet.

'I'm sorry for not replying to your text but honestly, I don't really want to be on the receiving end of your wordsmithing anymore,' he then texted. 'I don't want to be here any longer than I have to. I want to regain some aspect of my self-respect back.

'Please, let's keep future communications in writing (written down on paper, email, text) to prevent any additional friction as we move to the next step,' the lengthy text continued.

'We can speak in the future in the presence of a neutral party or something,' the message concluded. 'Right now, I just can't do it. I haven't been able to for a while. Respectfully. Good night.'

Abasolo also stated in his latest filing that Lindsay's offer of nearly $10k of spousal support is not enough

According to TMZ, he stated that he 'needs more' than $9,882 each month as that does not cover his expenses, which he added are 'draining' his bank account.

Additionally, he claimed that the $10k-a-month does not meet the standard of living during the course of their marriage.

The now-estranged couple originally met on The Bachelorette and tied the knot in 2019.

They were married for four years before he filed for divorce in December 2023.

At the time, Lindsay broke her silence on the split during an episode of her Higher Learning Podcast and said she 'didn't think [she] would get emotional.'

She shared with her podcast listeners: 'First off I just want to say thank you for people who reached out. I'm still trying to reply to people. You just never know how great your circle is until you see all the people that reach out and love you.

'Obviously it's a difficult time, if you've read the headlines, and you're probably wondering why I would even work,' she added.

'But to be honest with you I need to distract myself from myself and the best way to do that is to do something that I love and I love Higher Learning,' she continued.

She said that she would share the reason behind the separation 'eventually,' adding that 'now is not the time' as she is 'just trying to take it day by day.'
