The star-studded cast includes Patti LuPone as Lilia Calderu, a 450-year-old witch; Joe Locke as Billy Kaplan and Sasheer Zamata as the sorceress Jennifer Kale, to name a few.

The synopsis reads: 'The infamous Agatha Harkness finds herself down and out of power after a suspicious goth teen helps break her free from a distorted spell.

'Her interest is piqued when he begs her to take him on the legendary Witches’ Road, a magical gauntlet of trials that, if survived, rewards a witch with what they’re missing. Together, Agatha and this mysterious teen pull together a desperate coven, and set off down, down, down The Road.'

WandaVision head writer Jac Schaeffer serves as the showrunner and directed the pilot episode.

Executive producers include Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Brad Winderbaum, Mary Livanos and Jac, while directors for the series are Rachel Goldberg and Gandja Montiero.

Kathryn is first introduced in the 2021 series WandaVision as Wanda (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision's (Paul Bettany) nosy neighbor Agnes in Westview.

As the series unfolded, Agnes revealed her true identity as the powerful witch Agatha, who has been wreaking havoc on the quaint town.

Once Wanda finds out, a fight ensues in the finale episode, and the avenger uses her powers to trap Agatha as her fake persona, Agnes.

Marvel had some fun while teasing the series, revealing different titles for the show, including Agatha: House of Harkness, Coven of Chaos, Darkhold Diaries and The Lying Witch With Great Wardrobe - making it clear that Agatha's witchy antics contributed to the different names.

Agatha All Along will hit Disney + this fall, with the first two episodes airing on Sept. 18.

Back in 2021, Kathryn reflected on landing the iconic role in WandaVision.

Giving a glimpse into what viewers can expect come fall, the synopsis reads in part: 'The infamous Agatha Harkness finds herself down and out of power after a suspicious goth teen helps break her free from a distorted spell'

'[Playing Agatha] was really out of left field,' she told Backstage. 'It was just so ambitious, so fun, and so not what I thought when I thought of Marvel in such an awesome way - that there were so many women at the helm, and that it was a superhero story about grief, and there was a witch.'

The actress added, 'I mean, it was all of it! I had just done this chapter of playing pretty complicated, vulnerable, kind of messy women. There was something about rage that I was excited about tapping into. So this [role] kind of checked all those boxes for me.'

That same year, Kathryn also spoke to The New Yorker, reflecting on how her past roles seeped through while playing Agatha.

'There was definitely a sense of total freedom with this part,' the Bad Moms star told the outlet. 'I felt a real surrender in just taking the big swing of it, which was so, so fun. I mean, I’m kind of a newbie to this world. I don’t know very much about Marvel. But, when I was pitched this story, I was so taken by the ambition of it. And the serialism and the sadness and the all of it. So, yes - I mean, it really did feel like I was able to throw my whole self into it.'

Kathryn also noted how great it felt for her character to finally reveal her true powers.

'Oh, my God,' the 50-year-old quipped. 'I definitely felt catharsis when we were doing that. The theme song. I mean, that was so fun. We just laughed the whole time. And in my later forties, like, it’s so bananas to me. I certainly didn’t feel that power in myself when I was playing those best-friend parts. So, yeah, maybe.'
