EXCLUSIVEPlastic surgeon reveals which procedures 'The Boys' star Erin Moriarty has had... and why she looks so different

Erin Moriarty's return to television screens has reignited speculation about her changing face.

The actress, 30, appeared on the fourth season of the Amazon series The Boys — in which she plays the superhero Starlight — sporting a dramatically different and more 'snatched' look.

The transformation sparked fierce comments from broadcaster Megyn Kelly, who described the actress's changing appearance as 'quite upsetting' and 'a massive turnoff'.

While Moriarty has denied having cosmetic procedures, DailyMail.com spoke to top plastic surgeons who say the opposite — and have revealed exactly what she's likely to have had done.

The first, most obvious procedure is a rhinoplasty, they say, which is more commonly known as a nose job.

Dr Deniz Sarhaddi, a plastic surgeon in Missouri who specializes in facial procedures, told DailyMail.com that the tip of the actor's nose is now more refined and the bump has been removed.

Surgeons also suspected fillers in the cheeks and lips, and Botox in the forehead to iron out fine lines and wrinkles. Two doctors suggested she may have undergone even more extreme surgery on her upper face, such as a brow lift.

Overall, they believe the series of surgeries and tweakments, which resulted in a more angular, heart-shaped face, likely cost somewhere between $50,000 and $100,000.

'Typically, over time, people don't age to have bigger cheekbones and a more chiseled jawline,' said Dr Sarhaddi.

'She is beautiful in both photos, but the first one [from 2013] is a very different aesthetic to the second one.

'She looks a bit more exagerrated in the later images, the cheeks are super-high and hollow, for example, there is a shift in proportions.'

Starting at the top of the face, Dr Sarhaddi suspects a brow lift may have taken place at some point, in which the eyebrows are surgically raised to a higher position in order to reduce the appearence of wrinkles and sagging skin.

'I'd put money on it — a lot of celebrities have had one,' she said.

'It is a very stealthy procedure because the scars are only about an inch long and are behind the hairline.'

Dr Elie Levine, a plastic surgeon in New York City agreed.

'She is ten years older and yet her brow position looks as good as it did a decade ago, which naturally we would not see.'

As well as filler in the lips, which is favored by many celebs, the experts suspect Moriarty has received cheek filler too.

Dr Elie Levine said: 'Her cheeks have definitely been augmented — it could be filler or implants — her lips look profoundly fuller too.'

The surgeons said the shift in her facial appearance had likely caused so much speculation online because she appeared 'radically different'.

Dr Levine added: 'If you look at her at 19 years old, I would say that I wouldn't describe her so much as striking but more as pretty and attractive with a youthful look — she is very much like the girl-next-door kind of thing.

'But if you look at her now, she is very stark, crisp lines, sharp angles, it is striking but it is not especially warm.'

Controversy erupted over the star's appearance in January after she received a number of unpleasant comments from broadcaster Megyn Kelly, including that she had, 'Kim Kardashian lips'.

Ms Moriarty was quick to hit back, accusing the journalist of being 'utterly misinformed, inaccurate and clickbait seeking'.

She claimed her new look was due to make up contouring and dismissed those who said otherwise as 'mysogynists' and 'bullies'.

In a recent Instagram post, she wrote the caption: 'Haters guna hate'.
