Saturday June 29

Coldplay have nabbed the coveted headline spot for Saturday June 29 and will take to the main stage at 9.45pm, finishing their set at 11.45pm.

And the band are no strangers to Glastonbury -  they previously headlined the festival in 2002, 2005, 2011 and 2016, while frontman Chris Martin, 47, has made solo appearances onstage in support of fellow headliners Kylie Minogue and Stormzy

Overall, Coldplay has sold more than 100 million albums worldwide, making them one of the world's best-selling musical artists, and they've won seven Grammys out of 36 nominations.

The band, who formed in 1997, confirmed their tenth album Moon Music will be available in record stores and across streaming platforms from October 4, 2024.

It will be preceded by lead single Feels Like I'm Falling In Love, with the track available to purchase or stream on Friday, June 21.

But some fans are concerned that the band's fifth time headlining the festival could be their swansong, after Chris suggested the band's next album could be their last.

Speaking to Jo Whiley on BBC Radio 2 in 2021, he said: 'Well I know I can tell you, our last proper record will come out in 2025 and after that I think we will only tour.

'Maybe we'll do some collaborative things but the Coldplay catalogue, as it were, finishes then.'

British rapper Little Simz takes the penultimate performance slot on Saturday, from 7.45pm to 8.45pm.

Michael Kiwanuka (5.45pm-6.45pm), Keane (4pm-5pm), and Cyndi Lauper (2.30pm-3.30pm) will also be performing on the stage.

Meanwhile, Ayra Starr will grace the stage from 1.15pm to 2pm, and  Femi Kuti will kick off the day between 12pm and 12.45pm.
