Siddharth extends his support to the awareness of drug usage programme announced by Telangana CM

The highly anticipated film 'Indian 2', directed by Shankar and starring Kamal Haasan, is set to hit theaters on July 12. Actor Siddharth recently expressed his views on actors' social responsibility during the promotional events. The movie is a sequel to the 1996 classic, with an ensemble cast and music by Anirudh Ravichander.

The upcoming film 'Indian 2' is all set for its release in theatres on July 12. Directed by Shankar, the film stars Kamal Haasan in the lead role and the promotions for the film are going in full swing with just three days left for the worldwide release.
Actor Siddharth who also plays an important role in the film said that he firmly believes that actors are responsible figures in the society and should mandate and take part in awareness programmes.
The film promotions were happening in Telangana two days back and responding to the state Chief Minister Revanth Reddy's scheme on awareness about drug abuse, the actor extended his support
Siddharth responding to the question asked by a Hyderabad reporter said that as a Telugu actor, he has cooperated with the government between 2005 and 2011 and has been socially responsible in working for promotions of safe sex and added that all actors are responsible. He noted that it was in his conscience to come forward and support and stated that it will not require a state CM to request him to act responsible.
Directed by Shankar, 'Indian 2' is the sequel to the cult classic drama that was released in 1996. Kamal Haasan has reprised his role as Senapathi in the movie and the rest of the cast includes Siddharth, Bobby Simha, Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bahvani Shankar, Brahmanandam among others and the music for it is composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
