‘Trinayani’ fame Shruti Das celebrates her first marriage anniversary with Swarnendu Samaddar

July 9 holds a special place in Shruti Das’ heart. Last year on this day, the popular actress of Bengali television got married. This year, the ‘Trinayani’ famed actress is celebrating her marriage anniversary with her husband and director Swarnendu Samaddar. Shruti has been waiting for this day for a while. The actress has been posting adorable photos of herself with her husband on her social media profiles for the last few days as part of her countdown.Finally the special has arrived. Shruti wished her husband, Swarnendu, with a sweet post. The actress shared an adorable video of them and wrote, “Happy 1^st!”
In the video, Shruti and Swarnendu are seen twinning in red outfits. The couple is seen at their candid best and held each other close with big smiles on their faces.

After dating for a couple of years, Shruti legally married Swarnendu in a legal ceremony. The couple registered their marriage on July 9 last year. Shruti and Swarnendu’s romance has often been criticized because of their age gap. However, the couple didn’t pay much attention to the trolling and haters. The couple got hitched in an intimate ceremony last year. Apart from registering their marriage legally, the couple exchanged garlands and rings. Swarnendu performed the ‘Sidur Daan’ ritual too. Since then, it has been a year of marital bliss for Shruti and Swarnendu.
Shruti and Swarnendu recently went on a trip to Meghalaya. Shruti shared glimpses of their trip on social media. From exploring scenic locations in Meghalaya to spending quality time with each other – the couple enjoyed the trip to the fullest. Shruti even shared a video where she was seen singing her heart out while on a boat ride on the Dawki River.
On the work front, Shruti recently wrapped shooting for her debut web series ‘Daini’. The actress is set to debut on the OTT platform with ‘Shikarpur’ famed director Nirjhar Mitra’s upcoming series ‘Daini’. ‘Daini’ stars Mimi Chakraborty in an important role. Apart from Mimi, Shruti Das will be seen portraying a crucial role in the series. Shruti spoke to ETimes about her experience of shooting and said, “I want to do good work. I have done lead characters on TV. But this is my first project on the Web. And I have always wanted to add quality work to my resume. When I was offered this role, I was surprised to know that someone chose to cast me in such a role. My audience has mostly seen me as a simple girl hailing from a village. My character in ‘Daini’ is so different from whatever I have done so far. I am grateful that my director put his faith in me, that too without any audition. I have thoroughly enjoyed shooting for the series. I hope I will be able to live up to my audience’s expectations.”

On the other hand, Swarnendu is back in the director’s chair with his new serial ‘Mala Bodol’. The new mega serial stars Biswajit Ghosh and Ritu Pyne as the lead pair. The story revolves around the journey of a divorce lawyer and a matchmaker.
