On July 8, TV Daily revealed that the popular actor has been offered the lead role in the upcoming series titled ‘Waiting for Gyeongdo’, where he would portray the titular character, Gyeongdo.

In response to the speculation, Park Seo Joon's agency, Awesome ENT, confirmed, "It is true that he has received an offer for the new drama ‘Waiting for Gyeongdo.’ However, it is just one of the many dramas he has been offered, and nothing has been finalized yet", as reported by Soompi.
Directed by Lim Hyun Wook, known for his directorial work on hit dramas like ‘King the Land’ and ‘Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency’, and written by Yoo Young Ah, the acclaimed screenwriter behind ‘Thirty-Nine’ and ‘Divorce Attorney Shin’, ‘Waiting for Gyeongdo’ is surely going to be a hit addition to the romance genre.
