Hotel was situated in such a good location right in the city. It was very small and not so easy to find. We got a little confused of how to get in as the door was locked and not obviously pointed out how to get in. The man on reception when we arrived was rude and could see us trying to get in but just sat watching.
Apart from that the room was clean and ideal for what we needed for the 3 night stay.

Me and 7 friends stayed here for 2 nights in May 05 and despite initial worries that it would be a bit "dodgy" we were really impressed with our rooms considering how little we paid for them and the fact that it only has a 2 star rating. The hotel is on the Carre del Carmen just off Las Ramblas so is central to everything (especially some good bars - which was important to a group of girls celebrating a 30th birthday!).

I wouldn't recommend this hotel for families or couple but hen or stag parties can't go wrong staying here.

Myself and my boyf stayed in the Hotel Aneto for 3 nights from 5th-8th March 07...and we must say we found it excellent.
i chose the hotel as it was very cheap (€70per night for a double room), and its closeness to Placa Catalunya.

We arrived to the Hotel around 10.30 in the morning and even though check in wasnt until 2.00pm, they let us leave our luggage in our room and given time to get changed/ refreshed and told our room would be ready for us & to come back in an hour.

The room itself was basic enough, quite large but perfect for our needs. We only wanted it for a place to sleep really as we had so little time in Barca and wanted to see as much as we could.
The bed was quite comfortable, and the bathroom was v big. It had a bath with a shower hose, toilet and a huge mirror with counter for leaving things. there was also a large wardrobe in the bedroom with plenty of hangers and some shelves/drawers.
There was a tv but all the channels were Spanish. Our window however had no view only another window! There's also airconditing in our room.

While there was no breakfast included in our price there was a complimentary coffee machine(which we didn try) and free buns/pastries which is your typical brekkie. While its not to everyones taste its a handy kickstart to your day.

The location of the Hotel was great....While it is on the El Raval side of La Rambla it is (if even) 1 min walk to La Rambla and a 5 min Stroll to Placa Catalunya.

All the Staff were also v friendly (one in particular) and helped us with anything we needed to know.
The only downside perhaps is the noise level. You can hear people walking outside in the halls etc, and while it didn bother us and we were never disturbed by it, it may annoy some people.

I would recommend this Hotel if your on a budget but still want to be in the centre of things

The best you can ask. Easy access from the airport. You can take bus from the airport and stop at the last stop. From there, the place is just 10 minutes walk. It also few minutes walk from La Rambla, around 10 minutes walk to Gothic Quarter and 5 minutes walk to San Antoni. There are few metro stations as well within five minutes walking distance that you can choose.

There are few grocery shops as well within walking distance. And plenty of good restaurant and hipster cafe for you to choose.

Service
Friendly receptionist. Very quick in responding to your query. They provide breakfast but you have to go to the bakery next door for the food. Price at eur5 per person. We did not take this, hence not able to provide review.

Room
Very clean! Spacious for three people. Our room have balcony as well which give that extra touch. The room comes with kettle and also hairdryer, which some hotel which charge extra for these. The heater in the room will keep you warm during cold night. The toilet is also clean, strong shower pressure and constant hot shower. Just what you need after long day of exploring the city

Overall, value for money. Superb location, friendly service and clean room with reasonable price. The best you can ask for!

The photo are really Done by photographer and photoshopped. Hotel mixed with private apartments. Paper thin walls. Extremely small rooms. Be extra carefull when reserving - some rooms have external private bathroom, which means Down the Hall from the room. Filled with mold and rust. And the main door to the room did not close all the Way Down.
It did not fit quality and Price.
The receptionist were the only positive side to this.
This is not a recomendable place.

I had an extremely pleasant stay at Hotel Aneto. The room was fantastic, with a fridge, air conditioning, a great TV and a very comfortable bed. There was plenty of storage space and plugs for charging. The ceilings were very high which made the room feel enormous.

The location was just about perfect. It's around the corner from La Rambla and just down the street from Plaça de Catalunya which are the heart of Barcelona. It's also extremely convenient for getting the airport bus which stops in the Plaza.

The staff were all great, extremely friendly and talkative both in English and Spanish. The complimentary breakfast from the cafe next door was one of the best I've had from a hotel. The coffee wasn't instant or from a machine as is the case in many hotels, it was real barista coffee. The croissant and sandwich were clearly freshly-made.

Only downsides were having to leave my key at reception everytime I left. However, in fairness, the staff usually remembered you and had the key ready for you immediately, so not a big deal, just different. My room sadly had a view of a small courtyard below. Not much they can do with the location, but would have been nice to have a room with a view, of course!

Overall, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Hotel Aneto and hope to make a return visit.

Hotel offered free breakfast, refused to give it

953747589

On Hotel Aneto's website they offered a free breakfast if you made a booking through their own website (see photo), which we did. However, when we got there they refused to give the free breakfast and offered nothing but a poor excuse. Not a way to treat costumers.

The hotel itself is located in a central, nice nighbourhood. The rooms are tidy and clean (no toilet paper, though!). But there's no isolation so it sounds like the people next door are in your own room, and the water pipes are really noisy.

It's cheap but it comes with a cost. Aneto, you owe us a breakfast!

Amazing hotel and is located in the best area! Everything from the cleanliness to the great service/reception is something you can look forward to when coming to this hotel! I was a bit hesitant since the price wasn’t as high as I would’ve thought considering how close it is located to the city here, but I can tell you that this definitely beat my expectations!! Everything you would want to see of Barcelona is walkable and there are buses & a metro station close by if ever you are unable to walk far distances. Many restaurants, shops and things to see/do!

I would definitely come back here if I ever visit Barcelona again. I highly recommend you stay here. Really great service at the reception and they are quick to accommodate you if needed.

Thanks for a great stay! 😊

This hotel is a fantastic deal - it is in a great location about 100 metres from the Ramblas. We paid 56 pounds a night and received a huge room with 4 single beds (we had asked for a double but we just pushed 2 of the beds together). Everything was absolutely spotless including the bathroom and the room was cleaned daily. Although breakfast was included we didn't try it as we wanted to sample some restaurants in Barcelona. My only minor complaint was that we weren't given very good directions to the room, it was through an unmarked door on the fourth floor even though our room number started with a 5. Once we finally found it 15 minutes later, all was great! I would highly recommend Hotel Aneto for anyone who wants to be in amongst the action in Barcelona, but who wants something a bit better than a hostel. Also make sure you check out Txapella on Passeig del Gracia - the best tapas in Barcelona in my opinion - enjoy!

This is a budget hotel in a perfect location. Walking distance to the train station, and city center is right there. The noise is an issue. I'm used to having noisy hotel rooms, but this was more then I had expected. I always take a white noise machine or fan with me and that helped. I would not recommend staying here unless you do the same. The room was fine and clean. The staff was helpful.

For me it was a cheap place to sleep for a couple of nights so I could explore Barcelona, it served its purpose.

I rated the room 2 star for because of the noise. The room itself was comfortable.
