Review of Hotel Aneto
Reviewed Oct 21, 2015
This is a budget hotel in a perfect location. Walking distance to the train station, and city center is right there. The noise is an issue. I'm used to having noisy hotel rooms, but this was more then I had expected. I always take a white noise machine or fan with me and that helped. I would not recommend staying here unless you do the same. The room was fine and clean. The staff was helpful.

For me it was a cheap place to sleep for a couple of nights so I could explore Barcelona, it served its purpose.

I rated the room 2 star for because of the noise. The room itself was comfortable.

Booked this through Booking.com under the name of Hotel Inzjarl. Very central hotel in good position, near the famous Barcelona market and La Ramblas.
Was very worried when we entered hotel lobby as it looked very scruffy and unkept. However very surprised to find lovely bright clean corridors when inside.
My husband and I had booked a room with a private bathroom, which was very small but very clean. Both reception and cleaning staff were friendly and approachable.
Unfortunately it's all down hill from here. Walls were SO thin we could hear the people next door lifting the toilet seat and urinateing, and when they took a shower it sounded like they were sharing our room. Noise levels therefore were terrible, which meant very little sleep.Room also had tiny glazed window overlooking other windows and air conditioning ducts, with no natural light at all.
Breakfast was taken in coffee shop next door. One lovely coffee and orange juice, but no choice apart from crossiant or toast, with jam only being allowed with toast! Served by surly unfriendly staff with no customer service skills whatsoever.
Unfortunately a very disappointing experience.

Stayed for 4 nights (3 ladies). Room was very spacious, clean & had a balcony facing the street. Very vibrant street atmosphere at night. There is THE MOST AMAZING coffee shop/deli right next door to the hotel - croisants and pastries to die for!! Close to all shops and 2 minutes from La Rambla,bus/ metro stops, etc.Staff very friendly and helpful. Will recommend to anyone and would definitely stay there again.

Room tip: once your doors and shutters are closed, you don't hear the street life. ask for rooms on the top floor.

Recently stayed for 3 nights and we were very happy that we chose this hotel. The rooms are basic but clean and adequate for our purposes as we spent most of the time sightseeing. The hotel staff are friendly and the location is fantastic. Lots of great restaurants and bars close by. I would recommend this hotel to those who are looking for a decent budget hotel with easy access to many places of interest in Barcelona.

Stayed here for 5 days, (4 of us)a room with 4 beds, and a bathroom, they were very clean, we saw and heard noone in the corridors.
The staff were friendly the cleaners helpful the rooms spotless.
We didn't book a seperate bathroom as we thought it would be like bedsit land, having seen the layout it wouldn't bother me as the bathroom is just o/s the room.
Excellent location. Las ramblas 2 min walk, metro 5 min walk.
we arrived at night and thought it looked like a dingy back street, wrong...in the daytime looked so different.
I would say loaction wise more like a 4*
We paid at the end of our stay, security was excellent, during the evening you buzzed the door and security would let you in, the desk was manned at all times by security.
We left our cases in reception and had no fears they would be 'taken',
For a visit to the city it really is well worth the money, everything on your door step.
Nice little tea shop next door, Ate at the La Minerva restuarant opposite, do not go, overpriced food for €20, photos on tripadviser restuarants, was an awful place.
WiFi a bit hit and miss, but you could use the pc there, think about an hour for a couple of euros.

Room tip: We were on the 5th floor, not a street view looked over to the side to apartments, they were clean and with tidy courtyard gardens.
