Prestigious Villa dated back to the 1700, located in the north part of the city, just 10 minutes form the historical centre. The large rooms are divided between the main building; different in style and colours with classic refined furnishings. The restaurant “ La Limonaia” offers typically Tuscan tastes with panoramic view. Halls will surroundyou with their frescoes in the reading room and bar area. A large ancient oaks park and a roses garden host an open air swimming pool and a tennis court. Large meeting and banqueting area. Private parking for cars and buses.

Hotel Garden has received acclaim for offering comfortable rooms with scenic views, although some guests feel the rooms could benefit from modernization and better upkeep. The hotel's serene pool area and overall charming atmosphere are highlights, despite the occasional perception of quaintness. While its location is generally appreciated for its closeness to Siena and accessible transport, a few find it slightly isolated.
Guests are pleased with the hotel's amenities and the inclusive breakfast, yet opinions on value vary. Service and cleanliness are consistently commended.

Hotel Garden played host to my group of 18 travelers. The hotel was able to accommodate each couple with the perfect room according to their financial needs. The restaurant, the bar, the terrace, the pool...outstanding. Location was within walking distance to the town center plus a bus stop was located at the bottom of their driveway. Got to love a good bartendar and Hotel Garden has one!!!

The hotel restaurant is amazing and has great prices. The pool doesn’t allow any sort of drinks near it and you have to pay $5 for the required towel. The bar staff is amazing. Our room had 1000 ants and the air did not work at all. The beds are the worst quality beds I have been in a while. hotel staff was not helpful upon arrival which made us have to walk almost 2 miles up hill with out luggage because they would not call us a car. Our phone in our room also did not work. You have to make reservations for dinner or you will not get in.

First and foremost, the hotel is delightful. Amazing location and very luxurious for the price. We had a brilliant time with a group of family and friends.
The only thing that lets this hotel down greatly is their outdated systems. Our group had around 12-14 rooms and each one of them was charged incorrectly on check out for food and drink we didn’t consume. When challenging the staff, we had drinks and food put on our bill for dates we were not even in the hotel. Some of our group paid without checking and over spent by around 200 euros in some instances. Some members of staff also came across as quite rude on some occasions. Perhaps they were not keen on large groups despite us being respectful and quiet.
My advice to guests is to keep track of what you charge to your room , and my advice to the hotel is to improve the charging / billing process.
Apart from this - it was a great hotel and throughly enjoyable.

My husband and I have arrived here today after being in Rome and Florence where service and staff have been so delightful and kind. Firstly we arrived in the rain and no one would help us with our suitcases or even give us a trolley to wheel it down to our room which was quite far. For a 4 star hotel also, the rooms are outdated and look like a grandmothers old house with no amenities inside. We called reception and kindly asked the front desk for a knife to cut salami and they brought up a butter knife. After realising this was the case I called reception and asked if I could please have a sharper knife because I needed it to cut salami as mentioned prior- And they brought a better knife. About 30 mins later I realised there were no cups or wine glasses in the room and my husband and I wanted to have a glass of wine (and I have never stayed in a “4 star hotel” that Dosent have glassware in the room anyway) Reception tells me to call the bar which was a 3 meter walk from the reception desk. I call the bar and the man brings the glasses. After he brings them to me he say “that will be a 6 euro charge” I said for what? He said “for me to bring them to you room” I said I just wanted glasses to have a drink. He says “you want a knife, then another knife, now glasses so that will be 6 euro” There was a lot of rudeness and attitude in the tone and I have never experienced this at a hotel. So I called reception to argue this and tell them you don’t say this after the fact; especially when there should be glassware in rhe room anyway and he was quite argumentive but agreed to wipe the charge at the end because I told him to come and collect his glasses if that’s the case. I also just wanted a glass of ice and I knew better then to call reception so I walked to the front desk to ask. I kindly asked the woman at the front and she said to ask the bar 😂 I stood at the bar for 5 minutes and there were 3 men about 10m away who saw me and ignored me. So I walked out and the woman saw me walk out empty handed and didn’t even care to ask. By the way I have only been here for 4 hours and never written a bad review in my life. So definetly don’t recommend Do not book They are very rude

The setting for this hotel is splendid with views across Siena and beyond. The hotel itself is quite dated and in need of some modernisation. The room we stayed in was average, however, there was a strong 'strange smell' doing from the bathroom sink (maybe due to a build up of hairs and old skin) and we approached the staff on a couple of occasions (facilities came and put detergent down the plug hole but the smell persisted).
Dinner - very basic but expensive, the presentation of the food is really poor and the head waiter was not very 'receiving of guests'. We arrived 10 minutes early for dinner to be told ' you are too early' - even though the table was ready, his attitude was not very welcoming and some training of the staff is needed badly. The menu is very basic and not very exciting. My advice is that if you want a great meal and great steak dished DO NOT eat in the hotel's restaurant.

Beautiful hotel in a classic Tuscan setting with gorgeous views of the Siena hilltop. It is a 40 min walk to Campo and center of historic Siena. The room was dated but functional with an old safe using a skeleton key. Free water in the fridge and space to store more items. Most important for us was good air conditioning and relatively silent. Excellent dining in restaurant with beautiful terrace view at night. Breakfast was large and varied with many good choices. Large parking so we left car unused for the 2 days we stayed and walked to town. The pool offered a good midday break during the heatwave, but bring your own towel as they charge for pool towels. Hotel has a main original villa with some rooms and multiple separate buildings with rooms as well that will look out on garden.

We found this hotel. Always worried without any personal recommendations but took a chance.
All in all a typical Italian hotel, shabby-chic. Great character, hard working lovely staff. Well kept grounds. We used as a base staying for 12 nights in total. The food is good, breakfast and restaurant are both well staffed and supply fresh, well prepared food.
Beds are very comfortable, rooms are quiet. Set back from any main roads and no flight path or rail interruptions.
Manned 24hrs there is always someone to help. The cleaning staff are lovely. Always smiling and greeting the guests and the quality of the rooms each day is like an arrival day. Spotless.
Bar is well run by Atla (lovely professional guy), snacks in the afternoon and always a warm welcome.
Distance to main town and rail is around 12-18 min walk. Busses and taxis are in abundance and traffic is minimal.
Very little to critique. Only thing I would change is the air conditioning - not cool enough for us, it took the edge off but we just prefer more control of the room temperature.
On saying that, we would highly recommend.

I travelled to The Garden Hotel alone for a restorative and exploratory trip to Siena. On arriving at dusk I opened the shutters in my clean, spacious, elegant too to be greeted with the most magical of views that I didn’t grow tired of- and actually still miss..! The waiters and Nicola the barman at the Garden were incredibly kind and helpful and made a solo woman feel at ease and also looked after. And he makes a mean Negroni…..! I would thoroughly recommend this place to someone travelling on their own looking for an elegant yet inexpensive haven. It is slightly outside of Siena’s centre, which I liked, but you need to be happy walking a bit…

The good points are the friendly, helpful staff and super clean rooms with sheet and towel change daily. There is a kettle in the room and initially a couple of paper cups but these were not replaced and I went to the kitchen to get some. Also no milk in room, but supplied on request. We always travel with decent English Breakfast Tea so no problem there. The bar leading out onto the terrace is great and the barman is good. The huge terraces look out over the city which is about 2km away to centre so a good walk although there are buses and taxis. There are a couple of lounges to relax and chat. At present [April 2022] the gardens have a certain run down neglected charm which may need a lot of work to restore. The swimming pool is not being used at present and the access is locked. There is a tennis court but again looks neglected and needs a good clean up. The restaurant is rather disappointing with a limited buffet breakfast on offer and the limited dinner menu did not change while we were there and service was slow.

This hotel was a perfect base for 10 days in Tuscany without a car. Our room was in the Casa Bianca building, perfectly comfortable and with much needed AC. The daily cleaning service was excellent. Breakfast a large selection of cakes and pastries, fruits and cereals, cold meats and cheeses. The pool area was well looked after and it was wonderful to have a cool swim after a hot day sightseeing. The restaurant menu didn’t vary - a daily special would have been nice, but the food and service were excellent. Atla the Barman was a true gent and makes a fabulous G+t, and the reception team so professional and helpful. This is a busy hotel with lots of guests only staying a night or two before moving on, so lots of work. However all the staff at Hotel Garden were smiling, helpful, and seemed to enjoy their work which made for a very pleasant atmosphere throughout. Without a car the no 6 bus which stops right outside and runs a circular route around Siena was excellent. Inter-town buses stop at the nearby Palazzo del Diavoli which is just a short walk from Hotel Garden.
