Very well located (few meters from the main Rambla) , friendly hosting, quiet. The shower in the bathrooms is a real pleaure, immediately hot and powerful.
No breakfast in this hotel but you can find it at the close restaurant.

First impressions of this hotel are not comforting, in fact my wife didn't want to spend a minute longer as we waited to be checked in. I had to convince her that we had booked this hotel for its location and price. The decor in the lobby was very fitting to the hotels one star rating. The lift fills you with dread as you convince yourself that everything is ok. Once in our room my fears immediately disappeared. A lovely large space with two floor to ceiling doors that opened out to a balcony that overlooked the bustling street below (it is rather noisy, but you are a corner away from la Ramblas). The room has very high ceilings with a very romantic traditional Spanish feel. The bathroom is very basic, the shower was a welcome relief after pounding Barcelonas streets all day. Overall, the hotel is basic but for the price and location it was just what we wanted and you feel quite nostalgic staying in such a traditional Spanish residence.

I was staying in Hotel Aneto for 3 days with my friend(two women). The hotel is located very close to La Rambla (50m). The room vas very clean and the staff were nice and helpful. We stayed in first floor and the wi-fi conection was perfect. The truth is that you dont have any view from the hotel, only to oposite side of the hotel rooms. But that didnt bother us, because we used our room only to take a shower and to rest. The only thing that could bother some people, like it bothered me, is the noise in hotel. The walls are very thin so you could hear everything from the other rooms. But anyway..Next time when im visiting my new favourite city, I will go back to Hotel Aneto! The price is good and the best location!
See you again!

I stayed in the single room andhad an awesome time. Besides the bed being not so comfy everything else was great..Who comes to Barcelona to sleep , I would definitely recommend for anyone who wants a cheap hotel off of the main area without booking a hostel!!!

Well-located budget hotel in the centre of Barcelona. The reception staff were very helpful. My only grumble would be the absence of a kettle in the room. Instead there is a drinks machine in the corridor, which didn't dispense hot water, so no chance of making a cup of herbal tea!

I'm sorry the single rooms are kind of 'cabins' with a window into the escalatorshaft with no fresh air but the machines instead. Because of the construktion of the building it is very noisy from peoples running around on the stonefloor, talking loudly in the corridor with the stonefloor.
Very good is the position in the city near the Ramlas. The doormen are very friendly and helpful.
When booking the hotel with possibility of cancelling the hotel books the money for the first night from your account without permission. No idea if you would get it back when cancelling.

My mother, teenage niece, and I stayed at Hotel Aneto during June of 2012. When we first went to check in, we were a bit nervous. The lobby is small, dated, and noisy. However, once we got to our room it was great! It is basic, but very comfortable (we even had a street view balcony). Our room was cleaned and our towels were replaced on a daily basis. The location was great and we felt safe. There was some street noise at night, but it was not enough to keep any of us up at night. I would stay at Hotel Aneto again on my next trip to Barcelona and would recommend it to anyone!

4 nights stay at Aneto. All staff very friendly, excellent English and helpful, especially on the last night when my handbag was stolen in nearby restaurant (Carmelita's). Googled my bank to help cancel card and let me use the reception telephone as mobile also stolen in bag.

THANK YOU.

Overall we were happy with the room. Enough towels, good cleaning, and a good airco.
But if there are any guests who make noise you can hear them clearly.

Yes, the room I rented also had a bathroom inside the bedroom. It was small but everything was very clean.
