I randomly picked this hotel from the internet, we lucked out, it was reallygreat. Basic, clean, friendly, helpful, lovely roof top pool. 10 euro taxi from las ramblas, 20 minute walk to park guell. Reception staff were so very helpful and I would totally recommend it for a trip to the lovely city.

Stayed 18th - 22nd May 2018. Lovely staff, very clean, enjoyed the breakfast which is delivered to your room (my husband didn't like the coffee but there is a great shop next door and a kettle in the apartment). Spacious apartment. Paid extra for terrace but worth it. No restaurant or bar in the hotel. Has a hob, microwave, fridge, utensils. Reception can order Deliveroo for you and you pay for it at checkout. Rooftop pool is small but clean. Good view from apartment and from roof. Stayed on 4th floor and there was a lift (some reviews said different). Not far from metro/ train. Reception ordered a taxi for us. Really enjoyed it here and would definitely return.

Was a little upset to find that they did not have my booking. Was sorted very quickly tho. The staff were very accommodating and helped me to book many of my excursions out. Better to book through them as it was cheaper.Agents charge a fee. It was better as I didn’t have to queue. The room was facing the road, room 102, very noisy. The breakfast was lovely , continental every day with a reasonable choice. The coffee is very strong and I like strong coffee! Had to dilute it. Hotel has a small gym and a small plunge pool on the roof with sun beds, tables and chairs. Nice at the end of the day.Walked our legs off this holiday so much to experience and see. The metro is the best way to get around and so easy. Get a 10 Trip ticket if your planning on seeing a lot. It covers all areas unless you want to travel further. €10.20 for the 10 trips is amazing value. You won’t be disappointed with the city it’s amazing. We went to watch Barcelona at home it was one of the highlights, my son was blown away. Barcelona is very hilly not good for anyone with mobiliy issues.

Staff very helpful, location, good sleep (No noise) - Great
You have to walk upto 4th floor - Minus point (no lift)
No breakfast.

Note this is not a typical hotel but is an apartment with the facilities you need. The room we had also had a nice balcony with a sitting chair outside to enjoy the sun. We could not use it since we had to travel and see other places.
For families as well, it is a nice place except that you have to carry the luggage up on the stairs. But a good deal for all the other benefits it offers.

The apartment was delightful. We had room 106 and that had a terrace which got the sun around lunch time to around 4 ish. If you wanted sun from the start of the day, the sun terrace and plunge pool on the roof was a lovely place to read a book and get relief from the heat in the pool. It was not at all busy when we were there in the first week of July. The kitchen had all the pots, pans, cutlery and crockery you needed to make snacks and light meals with the two ring electric hob, microwave and fridge with icebox for ice, a tray of which was ready for us when we got there. The layout of the apartment was good and it was spotlessly clean with cleaners visiting daily.
We could get to the local train station Av. Tipidabo in a 5 minute walk and it took 10 minutes to get to the Place Catalunya. It was so easy travelling around on the Metro system with a 5 day travel card. The 24 hour reception staff were friendly and efficient and very patient and good humoured while I practiced my "Beginner's Spanish".
We tend to go to Barcelona once a year and we would gladly go back to this establishment which suits us down to the ground.

Right in the outskirts of Barcelona, with two metro stations (Tidibago is closer)nearby, and buses as well. Staff was friendly, room basic, spacious and clean. Swimming pool was very small and freezing, so I didn`t use it. A market shop right outside aparthotel, which was good for breakfast. The only things negative were the noisy fridge and distance to city centre. It was very good value for money.

We were a family of 2 adults and 2 children and we rented the 3 bedroom apt. It was only for one night but we wished we could have stayed longer, we had private parking downstairs for a small fee and the kids got their own room. The apt came with a full kitchen and washing machine. It was great, when I got back to Barcelona, I will definitely be staying at this apt. Very roomy and the staff were very nice.

My husband and I stayed here the first week of June for 5 days in Room 308. The room was spotlessly clean, the twin beds (which we had requested) were firm and very comfortable, the kitchenette was adequate for our needs and we would definitely stay at Bertran again without hesitation. Camille, the General Manager, was very gracious and helpful as was the staff at the desk. The TV only has English speaking news stations, but what do you expect .... you're in Spain. :) I saw that one person stated the dishes in their place weren't clean and were chipped. That was not the case for us. Everything matched, including the silverware and it all appeared new. You do hear your neighbours if they are noisy, but it is quickly taken care of by the staff and they are told to be quiet and they make sure that they remain quiet for other guests. The furniture was clean and comfortable; yes, a little dated, but like I said, it was clean and comfortable. The only real complaint was that the air conditioner didn't make it as cool as what we're used to and it was a bit noisy when it would kick in, but it was tolerable. The Metro subway is only about a 5 minute walk as is The Hop On - Hop Off bus stop to anywhere you want to go. Best to buy 10 tickets at a time for the Metro as it's the cheapest way to go. There are plenty of lounges and a small pool on the roof to cool off in. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a clean, comfortable place to stay without coming home broke. We will definitely go back. Barcelona has won our hearts. (Jill Gibb - Niagara Falls, ON, Canada.) P.S. Great view of Tibadabado from rooftop, otherwise view is basically of other local apartments, but that was kind of neat anyway. :D

Buenas tardes, Thank you for your comments, we work hard to make our guess feeling great in the aparthotel. Actually, i am not the General Manager, just a receptionist... We hope to see you again next time you visit the city. Camille.

Stayed for a long weekend with the family to visit Barcelona and couldn't have asked for a better 'base camp'!
From the minute we arrived and throughout our stay the staff were friendly, helpful and efficient, always available with maps, directions and bookings for restaurants etc.
The room was perfect. Clean and well equipped with a small kitchen ideal for a family and thankfully air conditioning.
Just outside the hotel is a small well stocked supermarket and Tibidabo station is about 2 minutes walk away where a train direct to playa catalunya takes about 10 minutes.
We also made use of the secure underground car park at a small extra charge which was worth the money as parking locally is very limited.
We would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to visit the city and will use again on our next visit.

Can anyone tell me the trains/metro from the airport, & directions to the hotel. Thanks!
Answer from wjsarmour

Take train from Airport for four stops and exit at PASSEIG DE GRACIA. Change from railway line to Metro by going up to street level where you will find Metro entrance. Take Green line 3 toward TRINITAT NOVA and leave at VALCARCA station. Exit station by the right hand exit toward ROUTE DE ARGENTINA [ you should exit adjacent to the terrace of a bar/café.] Go uphill past the junction of the bridge/viaduct till the next traffic lights which you can see ahead of you. Turn left at these traffic lights [Vitages sign on wall] onto MARIE de DEU del CARMEL which leads onto Carrer BERTRAN, Hotel is on left. SUGGEST YOU PURCHASE A 10 TRAIN JOURNEY TICKET FROM VENDING MACHINE AT AIRPORT RAIL STATION.
