So glad we found Aparthotel Bertran! Parking spot (19 €/night) and price is what sold us on this place, but everything was great. However, if you need a parking spot, call in advance to reserve it. I didn't see anywhere to do it on the website, so I'm glad I called to check.
We had the "penthouse room" (not an apartment, just a hotel room). There was no fridge or anything, but a large (especially by European standards), comfortable room with a big bed and a big bathroom with bathtub (and even a bidet, if you're interested...). We also had prime access to the rooftop pool and very spacious terrace - right outside our door :) Clean room, friendly staff, working AC and TV, calm neighborhood that felt safe (residential area far from pickpockets and crowds, cheap-ish local cafés). Short walk to the Vallcarca metro and we were on the Rambla in minutes! Would stay here again, no questions asked. Only warning I would give is to anyone that has trouble walking - this area of Barcelona is very very hilly!

We stayed here during our stay in Barcelona. The staff here is very friendly. The apartment was very clean, except for the couch in the living room and the tv did not work. We had good WiFi and it is near Parc Guell and the metro. It’s great for families the neighborhood is quaint and safe. We walked to Parc Guell and from here took the Metro to the airport. We also paid $25.00 for parking for one night. We had 2 bathrooms so it was convenient. All in all I would give this a 4. I would say it’s near a 4. It had clean towels, soaps shampoo etc. Clean linen.

My visit was for three days, partly business and then a buddy flew in to join for a couple of nights. Alternative at that price would be Ibis, which is always very functional but this was WAY more spacious.

It is an older building, rather 70's in feel but has been well kept up. E.g. the furniture is simple and not necessarily what you would put in your home, but it is absolutely fine for temporary accommodation.

Parking is indoors and secured by garage door- which I loved.

Aircon in room was absolutely perfect and was quiet. (It was 38 degrees outside!).

Neighbourhood quiet with good cafes and deli type businesses nearby, so very easy to pick up provisions.

Rooftop pool looks normal sized in the photos but actually it is really quite small, but perfect for a cool off and if you have kids they would be fine with it- just not really big enough for swimming lengths for exercise.

All in all this was, and especially considering price, superb value for money and for the money I saved on accommodation enjoyed splashing out on nights out. It is about 10 Euros taxi into the centre but you could take a tram for much less.

Must-go restaurant (pricey but fabulous and you should book) is Boca Chica! Will leave separate review for there - absolutely brilliant- they even have a DJ in the communal toilets and a girl selling Gin and Tonics!!

Stayed for a long weekend with the family to visit Barcelona and couldn't have asked for a better 'base camp'!
From the minute we arrived and throughout our stay the staff were friendly, helpful and efficient, always available with maps, directions and bookings for restaurants etc.
The room was perfect. Clean and well equipped with a small kitchen ideal for a family and thankfully air conditioning.
Just outside the hotel is a small well stocked supermarket and Tibidabo station is about 2 minutes walk away where a train direct to playa catalunya takes about 10 minutes.
We also made use of the secure underground car park at a small extra charge which was worth the money as parking locally is very limited.
We would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to visit the city and will use again on our next visit.
