We have only fantastic comments regarding our stay at the Hotel Bertran. The room was great, sizable, comfortable, simple yet refined, with a wonderful terrace with a view of Tibidabo. Jose Carlos, the manager, was a font of helpful information and all of the other employees were friendly and helpful as well. The location is perfect for us, a mere ten minutes by subway to the center of town, yet quiet and away from the hustle-bustle of the main tourist area. The neighborhood had plenty of good restaurants, bakeries, etc. and was very safe. Only the highest recommendation!

After reading the reviews about this accommodation we booked it from the 17th to 24th of September 2018 . We were so delighted we did. When we arrived early on the 17th the apartment which was assigned to us was not ready. The staff went out of their way to help us and did sort us out. It only got better the staff Rigato,Victor and Xavi (I hope I got the spelling of their names right ) were really nice and very helpful. It made our holiday. The apartment was cleaned every day and it was spotless. The cleaning staff also were very nice. The Hotels location is a few minutes walk to the Metro and then only a few stops to the City Center ( Las Rambles). There are loads of restraurants close to the Hotel and we really felt safe there. We would definitely recommend it. We stayed on the third floor to the rear of the Hotel and it was very quiet . We found the beds very comfortable . Its an ideal place to stay and the staff really make it.

Pros: Staff was really nice and helpful. The apartment had everything we needed. A kitchenette with fridge and microwave, a living room section with sofas and a TV and the bed in one corner shielded from the light outside by furniture. The bathroom had a bathtub and shower with good pressure. There's a gym on the ground floor and a pool on the roof. There's a supermarket nearby and a ferrocarril station that takes only around 10 mins to the city center.
Cons: The bed was a bit unconfortable and breakfast for 11€ per person is a bit on the expensive side considering how much one pays per night already, so we skipped it. The kitchen could have more utensils, we didn't make any food because of that.

Nice room and convenient to transportation if you don’t mind walking 10 mins to metro. It may not be very handicap friendly as it had no elevator and room was on the third floor. Also hotel location is up a little hill. It was not a problem for our family but I felt I need to mention for anyone that may not have rental car or maybe in need of special needs.

We stayed here during our stay in Barcelona. The staff here is very friendly. The apartment was very clean, except for the couch in the living room and the tv did not work. We had good WiFi and it is near Parc Guell and the metro. It’s great for families the neighborhood is quaint and safe. We walked to Parc Guell and from here took the Metro to the airport. We also paid $25.00 for parking for one night. We had 2 bathrooms so it was convenient. All in all I would give this a 4. I would say it’s near a 4. It had clean towels, soaps shampoo etc. Clean linen.

We where there for a week.
Daily room cleaning.
Has 24hr reception and very friendly staff.
Bathroom is great and shower is amazing!
Sadly the kitchen was disappointing because it only had a microwave and no utensils of any sort. Bed is a bit hard but that might be just our taste.
Location is great if you want to see the city. And also the part of town is quite interesting.

Had an appartement. Very nice standard with a small kitchen. You can see the pics put out by people here. They don´t lie. Clean and cleaning every day.
Nice with the pool at the top. Though unfortunately it is very small. Nice bathroom, nice shower and water pressure. Always warm water.
The walls are a bit thin. If there is a party in the next room you will definitely hear it.
Breakfast served in the room and you can choose what time you want it served (No restaurant at this hotel) Croissant, bun, donut, butter, marmelades. Unfortunately you have to choose between youghurt/serial or ham/cheese. You don´get both. And one cold drink and one hot. But you can buy yourself additional stuff and add as you have a kitchen area and fridge.
Staff was helpful and nice, they didn't´t go out of their way to service you, but just ask and they will help in a nice fashion.
No balcony in my room (103) But window you could open towards the street on the side of the hotel entrance.
I got transported by bus from airport directly to the hotel as part of my package trip through my travel agency. It can be a bit difficult to fint the hotel. If you arrive late at night I would not go by train/metro. But I am horrible with directions generally.
Not much to do in the immediate area, but Metro 3 minutes to walk away. 10 minutes ride to Barcelona city. There is a pizza restaurant and two small convenient stores extremely close to the hotel.
I recommend using the hop on-off buses in the city. 29 Euros for one day unlimited access on all three lines. Took the red line, 2 hours ride when you sit on the bus the whole round. You can get off the bus anywhere and back on a bus when you are ready to go back. There are new buses arriving at the stops like every 5 minutes. Fantastic!
Could definitely stay here again.

Stayed with my daughter in August 2017. Booked aparthotel as gave us more dining options. Large room, with sofa area, dining table, kitchenette with fridge, hob, kettle and microwave plus plenty of cutlery, plates etc, and bedroom area. Good air conditioning and excellent free wifi. Continental breakfast delivered to our room every morning, croissants, doughnuts and bread, a choice of drinks and a choice of cereals and yoghurt or ham and cheese. The hotel is situated in a quiet, safe area with nearby metro connections, about 15 minutes metro ride to Catalunya square. (Used the excellent T10 cards, 9.95 Euros for 10 journeys including renfe train from airport..... However if you change lines it will register as 2 jourmeys unlike London underground. I recommend factoring in price of these when comparing to more central hotels.) Small clean swimming pool on roof, with sunbeds. We used this every evening after a hot day sightseeing, it was always quiet, we usually had the pool to ourselves. Hotel staff always polite and welcoming.

We spent a week at this friendly hotel within an easy metro ride of the city centre and walking distance from Park Guell. The staff were helpful and the apartment was well equipped and had very comfortable beds and a nice bathroom. The swimming pool on the roof is small and unheated but blissful after a hot day of exploration.

We stayed in Bertran to enjoy Barcelona for a few days. Our apartment was well equipped with TV, refridgerator, aircon, wifi. The apartment was clean and there was a everyday cleaning service included. The staff was friendly and helpful. With good weather tyou can use the swimming pool. The aparthotel is located 5 min from the metro station Av. Tibidabo from where you have a direct 15 min connection to the city centre (Pl. Catalunya). We recommend this aparthotel.

Not sure we never hired a car. The metro was the best way to get around.

Take train from Airport for four stops and exit at PASSEIG DE GRACIA. Change from railway line to Metro by going up to street level where you will find Metro entrance.
Take Green line 3 toward TRINITAT NOVA and leave at VALCARCA station.
Exit station by the right hand exit toward ROUTE DE ARGENTINA [ you should exit adjacent to the terrace of a bar/café.]
Go uphill past the junction of the bridge/viaduct till the next traffic lights which you can see ahead of you.
Turn left at these traffic lights [Vitages sign on wall] onto MARIE de DEU del CARMEL which leads onto Carrer BERTRAN, Hotel is on left.
SUGGEST YOU PURCHASE A 10 TRAIN JOURNEY TICKET FROM VENDING MACHINE AT AIRPORT RAIL STATION.
