The suites include a living room area, bed area, bath, refrigerator, stovetop, microwave, dishes and utensils, pans, etc. The location is excellent, and an easy to walk to busses or Metro subway, or just a pleasant walk. The staff is lovely. British Airways lost my luggage for almost three days. As soon as it arrived, the front desk gentleman brought it to my room immediately. I was so happy! Another employee even looked up info on my luggage on his computer and helped me translate a text I received from the airline. The gym is not large but just fine -- even great since they are hard to find in European hotels. The location is quiet but a few blocks from main avenues. Several grocers and fresh produce stores are within 1-3 blocks. I have not tried the pool on the roof yet. This is not a 5-star fancy hotel but the value is unbeatable. I doubt I will enjoy my expensive fancy hotel in Florence as much.Thank you Hotel Bertran!

Just spent five nights in this hotel with boyfriend; the hotel is located away from the tourist area of Barcelonia in a quiet residential area. Very good transport links into the city - maximum of 20 minutes to the centre of Barcelonia. If using the L3 to Vallcarca, (as mentioned in other reviews make sure you exit from the correct exit) - take the exit with the escalators to the higher exit. We recommend when travelling with luggage to travel to/ from Av. Tibidabo. Plenty of options to purchase food for meals, we picked up some excellent fish from La Doroda just higher up the hill that the mentioned exit from Vallcarca metro is on.

We were helped by the many previous reviews and our experience confimrs them. While our room did not match the photos on the webite it was big enough for us all with adequate cooking facilities and a decent bathroom. It was close to the metro and from there we were able to catch the bus to the airport.
There are some great cafes close by as well as a small supermarket and grocers close at hand.
When travelling with teenagers it is important to specify the beds needed. We were often greeted with a foldaway double for ours. The staff at Bertran helpfully found a mattress and bedding..
We are budget travellers and stayed in budget hotels. If that is your gig then this hotel is right for you.

We were a family of 2 adults and 2 children and we rented the 3 bedroom apt. It was only for one night but we wished we could have stayed longer, we had private parking downstairs for a small fee and the kids got their own room. The apt came with a full kitchen and washing machine. It was great, when I got back to Barcelona, I will definitely be staying at this apt. Very roomy and the staff were very nice.

We stayed there 8 nights and were really pleased that we chose Aparthotel Bertran. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Room was clean and spacious. Pool area was nice even though the pool was smaller than expected. Hotel is located near a metro station so it takes only 10 min to the city central. We highly recommend!
