Spokane
We stayed for 5 nights in room 1523. There are limited services available currently, no maid service, no restaurants open, no lounge access and no room service. The Starbucks across the lobby was closed as well. We are platinum members and the welcome gift was supposed to be a breakfast certificate and lounge access. We were offered points instead, which became the only option with all the other amenities that were closed.
I developed an unusual reaction to the bedding. I woke the first morning with massive hives on my arms, legs and back. I asked the hotel for soap to use in the guest laundry and was provided with packets of hypoallergenic laundry detergent. It cost $5 for washing the sheets and my blanket (which took using both of the washers and dryers), and an additional $5 for drying the sheets. So it cost me $20 to wash and dry the sheets to keep from getting more hives. We missed using the laundry the first night as we didn't get back to the room until after 9 PM that night and the machines wouldn't take the credit card at that time. Guest laundry stops at 9 PM. I had to wash the sheets the next day and had to include the travel blanket that I bring on all my trips because I slept wrapped up in that blanket that night to try to avoid touching the sheets. I mentioned the problem to the front desk each day we were there and was not offered any accommodation or repayment for the expense of laundering their sheets.
The room is in the middle of the hallway with a nice corner window with a view to the north/east. The room has a pullout couch and a king size bed. The bath has a nice feature of undercabinet lighting that comes on automatically when you enter the room in the night to act as a night light. The bed had power outlets in each night stand and a decent reading light on each side. There was a small mini-fridge and coffee machine in the cabinet next to the desk. The desk was small but adequate. The bathroom door also acts as a closet door for the hanging storage area. The door is a bit hard to slide and you have to put some muscle into getting it started. There was one larger drawer in that area and 2 small drawers in the desk. There is a tall narrow cabinet in the bath that held the ironing board and iron. The room was quiet but I did notice that I could hear my husband using the hair dryer from 4 rooms down in the hallway.
Until the COVID restrictions change, I will be likely to pick one of the other Marriott properties in the area.

I was in town for a conference and this was one of the more decently priced hotels that was still available. I checked in online the day before and our room was ready by the time we arrived at 11am. I used mobile key, but wanted a physical key for X so we did stop by the front desk on our way out.

Parking is available at the public lot that's attached to the Marriott. It was $45 for 24 hours and we did end up moving it out everyday, so I can't comment on if you can leave it for longer than 24 hours. Marriott offers valet parking for $55, but it's a first come, first served kind of deal.

The room was nice with a good desk for X to work from. The bathroom had a sliding door, which wasn't ideal but was fine. Bathroom was well lit and very well positioned. I loved the shower pressure.

I had requested extra towels and other amenities like shower caps and dental kits ahead of time via the app and we got everything I requested. We wanted to keep housekeeping at a minimum and the housekeeper did check in with us every morning to see if we wanted our rooms done.

Overall, a very solid hotel that's well situated.

Stayed for the long graduation weekend, and while the hotel was busy, it didn’t feel crowded. Service was good and having Charles River for a view in the corner, floor to ceiling window, made the stay better.

Saw some reviews that the rooms are dated, but that’s not the case with our room. The carpet wasn’t threadbare, no peeling wallpaper, scuffed furniture, etc.

Reason for 3 stars, while the room was spotless, the carpet was clean, and I didn’t see any dust in the corners and crevices, my allergy was so bad that I felt more relief being outside (or in the car) than being inside the room. It’s gotta be the drapes. Didn’t really realize it until we checked out 3 days later.

In addition, dining option is very limited. They have the M Lounge for breakfast, but no room service. There’s a small selection of sandwiches you can order from the kitchen, but if I’m not mistaken they are served in bags, and you can only order during certain hours.

Red line is right outside, and Newbury St shopping is also a very quick Uber ride across the river.

I stayed here for Business. The location is very central to a lot of offices and restaurants and a great area for running/walking.
However, the rooms are not insulated enough. The corridor noise and the doors closing and opening can be clearly heard inside the rooms.

A bit disappointed with my recent stay here - usually it is uniformly excellent. After checking in I found that the fire alarm in the room was chirping and needed a new battery- headed back downstairs and they sent a repair guy. From my room I could hear chirping from other rooms as well. I called front desk again to alert them and they said they’d take care of it, but never did while I was there.

If you're going to be traveling downtown Boston often, this hotel would be perfect for you. Just a step outside is the Kendall T, Red line. Just a 6 minute run to Boston. Just remember to get a 7-Day pass if you're going by train often, please don't put 10 or $20 on a Charlie ticket because it's going to be very expensive.hotel is located in a very quiet area. It's a plus for persons who like that. Rooms are modern, and are decent size. Rooms also have a mini refrigerator. It would've been nice if it had complimentary bottles of water. The beds are a little to firm for me, but maybe good for you. If you love to work out, you will like the gym. The gym is very spacious, with several exercise equipment to choose from. Overall it worked out well for me, due to the location.

Spent 3 nights in a double beds guest room for business trip.

The pros
Location at walking distance from MIT and many companies established in Cambridge ridge,
Room style sober but very practical,
Good size shower,
Good mattress quality,
Decent gym room and equipment,
Nice staff at reception.

The cons
Poor F&B experience with limited offer for breakfast and the breakfast room is depressing (plus there was some construction work just outside the breakfast room)
Tiny bathroom with toilets stuck between the wall and the shower

The hotel is clean, the double-queen-bed room was spacious, and the view from the 16th floor was gorgeous. The hotel amenities are nice and are numerous (an in-room safe, toiletries, coffee, coffee maker, etc.). Only downside is that this property is a bit too expensive (paid in excess of $400 U.S. Dollars per night) … and breakfast is not included.

In a world where most properties look to cut corners and sacrifice core benefits, this property is a true breath of fresh air. Perfect for business, super well-situated for leisure, and executing on Marriott’s core principles, I will be back. I really appreciate how safe and comfortable I felt while also having access to the pre-pandemic creature comforts we all have missed these last two years.
