We vowed we would never return. After speaking with the day manager & your delightful intern (of only 3 days).who knocked on our door and professionally addressed & resolved every issue . So we changed our mind about returning. I am 78 yrs old & my wife is fighting cancer & the way he upset us, we felt this behavior was boarding on elder abuse.
If this individual is still employed upon our return, we'll simply seek other accommodations

Good service; great views; difficult to get to rooms on lower level without any assistance from hotel personnel. Rooms clean; plenty of good towels and great bathroom, bedding, internet, tv, etc. just so darn hard to get to room with a long distance to carry/transport your luggage to vehicle especially for my wife and I, ages 66 and 70. Steep incline and difficult stairs; no elevator and again, no offer of assistance!!!

Response from Review Responder, Owner at Ogunquit River Inn & Suites
Responded Jun 13, 2023
Dear Gary, Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel. We are glad your room was comfortable and you had everything you needed for a great stay. However, we do apologize for the difficulties you had with climbing the stairs. Our staff is always happy to assist with luggage but we are sorry to hear that you had no help during your stay and will address these concerns with our team. We also suggest you contact us directly for your reservations next time and we will do our best to provide you with a room on the parking level so you can avoid the stairs. We are glad your stay was otherwise excellent and appreciate your wonderful rating. It would be our pleasure to have you both as our guests again at Ogunquit River Inn. Sincerely, Raghuraman Madhaiyan General Manager

The room had a shirt in it from a former guest .the floor was sticky and the phone in the room didn’t work.
There was no reception for our cell phone so we couldn’t call the lobby.
The next morning when I complained they said no manager is working that day. The lady said a manager would call me but no one called.
I spoke to her a week later she apologized but didn’t say anyone would call…
They obviously don’t care

We chose this hotel for the beautiful views and were not disappointed. The location is good for discovering the area. The shuttle bus that connects various hotels to the village is convenient. Breakfast is fine but there’s often quite a wait for a free table.

We stayed here for the 4th of July weekend. The hotel is very nice! The lobby is beautiful and the staff and owners are fantastic! The pool has been newly renovated and all outdoor furniture is new and modern. The hotel is quiet especially at night. The views of the river are beautiful. They are taking all appropriate precautions for Covid. I would strongly recommend staying here!

Ogunquit River Inn is a serene, clean and comfortable home away from home. We loved strolling to and from downtown. The deck provided breathtaking views of the water at sunset. There are kayak rentals on site. There are many options for lodging in Ogunquit, but we would return here because of the welcoming staff and lovely accommodations.

We chose the room with a king bed and sofa. The room was large, clean and quiet. Our favorite part was the deck overlooking the river. A great place for morning coffee and a wonderful place to end your day. When sitting out there, the hotel blocks any road noise from rt. 1. We also enjoyed the pool, which had cabanas for shade if you wanted. The staff was helpful and polite. It was approx. a 1 mile walk to Footbridge Beach and 2.5 miles to the middle of town. We will return.

The view from the balcony rooms is amazing but the rooms have a strange layout. There is only a patio door to enter and the deck is shared and not very private. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable but we ended up only staying one night instead of two because we just weren’t that impressed.

BF and I are locals and wanted something easy for a little staycation without spending an arm and a leg, and were really impressed. I’ve driven by this place countless times and not thought much of it.
Room was nicely appointed, bed was super comfortable, views were spectacular, and everything was clean and sanitary, which we really appreciated. Love that it’s pretty quiet once you’re away from the road! Being able to sit on the balcony with a cup of coffee this morning was perfect. We’ll definitely be staying again!

Stayed here for business so i did not get to enjoy the hotel much during the day. Almost every room faces the river front and has a great look out. The rooms are basic but comfortable and have what you need. The staff was all very friendly and breakfast was a small buffet in the lobby. No issues at all.

As per your question. if we have an elevator? Unfortunately We do not have one on any of our buildings. All upstairs room are accessed by one flight of stairs.
