Good and not great, struggled between giving it 3 or 4 stars... After reading the other reviews here I can see what they are saying about some of the customer service, which is shame, because it has the potential to be great. I was looking for a few days by the water in a relaxing spot that wasnt too expensive and I absolutely found that at this inn. My room had a private small terrace, nice toiletries and a mini fridge, it had the essentials for us to stay longer than what we did, and it was very modern.

This was the first time we traveled during the summer of COVID. We were nervous about hotels. The Ascend Hotel exceeded my expectations. They were extremely clean. The front desk staff and guests all wore masks. When we entered our room the towels were wrap up in a plastic bag. Unfortunately due to restrictions breakfast is grab and go. I will definitely make this trip again.

Big Room with Wonderful View from the Balcony! 20 min walk to FootBridge Beach! Comfortable Queen Beds. Very quiet, you can’t hear the noise from the street which is a big plus as there is a lot of traffic during the high season. Only thing missing is a Safe Box.

Great location and views. Clean rooms and facilities, friendly staff. 1.6 mile walk to downtown Ogunquit. Some of the rooms are accessed by stairs but the check in asked if you are ok with stairs before assigning us a room. Beds and pillows were comfortable

We really enjoyed our stay. Friendly staff, very clean room, good location and pretty river view even on a rainy weekend! It was helpful to be just outside of the Ogunquit strip because we could walk to the beach and breakfast while also avoiding traffic when going the opposite direction up to Portland, etc.

Perfect location. Very loud (wall unit air-conditioning and windows on loud traffic packed street) and uncomfortable room. Tiny shower room/bathroom barely bigger than a closet. Dirty shower curtain. Outdated and just simply disappoing. Motel stile continental breakfast with terrible coffee. Will not return.

Once we checked in we discovered that we had to haul our luggage down a steep driveway to get to our room. The room was accessed by a sliding glass door. It smelled horribly of mold and cat urine. It was so damp inside the room that the carpet felt wet, and even the toilet paper was damp. The furniture was old and trashy, really beat up. Of course every morning it was a hill climb back to the parking lot. Whenever we asked for help with anything, the front desk man told us he was there alone and could not leave the desk to offer assistance. Breakfast was a joke at $13 each. My asthma condition was exacerbated by the horrible mold, smells and dampness in the room. Do yourself a favor, with so many other hotels nearby, STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE!

This place was very clean, nice room and view. Breakfast was plentiful. Pool and hot tub was a plus

We've stayed here mid May for the last 2 years and have absolutely loved our stays! The rooms are large and open up to an incredibly beautiful vista and private deck area. The entire establishment is pristinely clean and very quiet. It's the best value in the area. We look forward to returning again!

My husband and I return to the Ogunquit River Inn just about every year. It is a lovely little gem of a place with excellent service, beautiful views of the river and close proximity to shopping, etc. Breakfast included.

As per your question. if we have an elevator? Unfortunately We do not have one on any of our buildings. All upstairs room are accessed by one flight of stairs.
