Dreams Sapphire Resort & Spa offers a vibrant ambiance, though some areas may seem dated. Many guests commend the staff's friendliness but point out service inconsistencies such as room service delays. While the location is appreciated for its closeness to the beach and airport, the resort's seclusion may necessitate transport for off-site excursions. Despite its liveliness, noise can be an issue. Rooms are clean but vary in quality, and additional costs and aggressive sales pitches have marred the perceived value for some travelers.

Omaha, Nebraska
We travel south to a warm all inclusive destination every February to escape the winter duldrums of Omaha Nebraska and my wife and i along with the couple we were traveling with can honestly say that we have never experienced an all inclusive staff that matches what we found at Now Saphire. EVERYONE from checkin, housekeeping, groundskeeping, wait staff, and especially the Entertainment crew made our vacation so relaxing and special. Everyone is so pleasant and helpful. The entertainment crew works so hard with a special shout out to: Luiigi (aka Freddie Mercury and our #1 Chiefs Fan!), Isaac (our #2 Chiefs fan), Katherine (Our lil chiefs cheer leader!), Karly, Daniella (boo 49ers), Osiris, Ivan, and Julio these people literally live to make your vacation one to remember. We felt like we were leaving friends behind when we left after our stay from 2/1 - 2/8 .
We were diverterted to Now Saphire as Now Natura which is where we had planned to go has had a postponed opening and we could not be happier!

The SuperBowl Party was AWESOME!

As with all All Inclusives there are some areas for improvement:

Buffet food could have a bit more variety from day to day pretty much the same food day after day. The pool side food of hamburgers and hotdogs was fine but instead of the side of tasteless nacho chips everyday how about fries, rings or at least potato chips once in awhile?

Salt and Pepper shakers seem to be a premium and need to be asked for with every meal - we suggest doing this when you sit down so that they make it back to the table before your food : )

Take a plastic straw to stir your thick mixed drinks they do not provide straws of any kind which we get (environmental concerns and all).

We learned the Liquor was a bit on the weak side so if you were looking for ways to forget your "real world" request a double shot of whatever you are having that worked for us!

The furniture in the lounge / lobby area where the main bar is needs updating to match the rooms and is very uncomfortable.

That said we would definately go back and hope that our stay a Now Natura next Feb will be just as great!

My boyfriend and I were here for a wedding and we had a very nice stay. From the start, transfer service to and from the airport was seamless as was check-in. We arrived and were immediately greeted, checked in and taken to our room. I had arrived with a semi-large group of about 15 and we were all seen and in our rooms within 30 mins.

Our room was beautiful and easy to get to. Very clean and accommodating. Like I said we were there for a wedding and there was plenty of closet space for our dedicates. Both my Boyfriend and I sent out for dry cleaning which was also quick and hassle free.

Everything is perfectly spaced apart as to not feel crowded, we never felt like one area was more crowded then the other. We always had enough lounge chairs and easy access to the pool/beach.

Service once on the resort was fabulous as well, you never went without. Whether it was food, drink or leisure there was always someone there to help or provide for you. The staff was always cheerful and polite and eager to help.

My only suggestion is a bigger buffet. I felt like during the breakfast rush the selection was small and you would not have much to chose from if you came on the later end.

Other than that I could not say anything bad about my experience there.

Came here with my boyfriend for four nights and three days. This was my first time at an all-inclusive resort so I wasn’t sure what to expect but it was pretty good! I will say we bought up to the preferred package and it was nice to have access to some top shelf liquor but not really sure if it was worth the price for those perks. However, having access to the preferred pool and free cabanas was awesome and totally made up for the other “perks” that were just so so. Miguel at the pool was amazing and always checking-in. I will say if you don’t get a cabana you need to make sure you get there early for chairs as many were taken before 9:30.
Beach was nice. We never had an issue finding a chair even at 10 AM. We preferred the pool but the beach was great for a walk or lounging after breakfast / lunch.
As other reviewers mentioned the food was OK at best. We ate at the buffet every morning for breakfast as we didn’t want to sit down for the preferred breakfast at Paramour. Before breakfast we would go to CoCo cafe for lattes and coffee and that was the right move. The coffee is amazing there and so much better than what they have at the buffet. Plus the nicest staff!! Also the pretzels later in the day are bomb!
We did lunch at the barefoot grill one day which was okay and the rest of the days we ate at the beachfront bluewater grill!! Amazing tacos and great service. I wish the buffet had better lunch options...one day I honestly just wanted a sandwich and some soup or something plain...but I didn’t get that option which was disappointing.
We ate at Fresco (Mexican restaurant) which the food was OK but the margs were amazing. It’s specific recipe for that restaurant and you can’t get it anywhere else on the resort! We ate at Cibu twice and both times we had great food. The ravioli was great! We did have to get in line right at 6 and it was pretty much full by 6:30 so something to note. I also saw them turning people away when half of the tables were empty but what can you do!
Room was nice - kind of musty at times but I think that’s how beach living can be! I will say there are NO hooks so we had to get creative with towels and our swimsuits by hanging them on the doors and handles. We always had a restocked fridge and the next days itinerary which was nice. Also saw some reviews on housekeeping. I will say they would come in around 9/10 am to clean and then also did turndown service around 7/8 but you can put the sign on your door if you don’t want it!

Overall a great relaxing vacation!

A bit late leaving this review because of what is happening in the world now.
But my wife and I attended a wedding here in February and I have to say we were very disappointed with the hotel .The hotel is in a good spot on the beach and the pool is a large and impressive with plenty of sunbed but that's the good part .The food in all the Restraunts was very poor in the buffet the waiters hustled to get you to sit in there section which was a bit intimatedition although they were friendly we could do without the hassle .The bar service was very poor with very little table service so you had to queue at the bar which was very busy most nights then they give you inferior small drinks very very small measures and only draught beer in small glasses .the rooms were fine and clean asked for more hangers and got them but the mini bar had only 4 bottles of beer and some sodas but no bottle opener ? and no spirits when I asked for spirits I was told they don't supply the mini bar with them, very odd for an all inclusive resort .We will not go back to this resort again as it was obvious they were cutting back on service and quality drinks .

Some things we didn't like about the property were: Finding a plastic piece in my food and seeing tiny little bugs crawling on the table while eating. The bugs live off of the food left in the cracks on the table. I would highly suggest they wipe their tables with bleach. Forget about getting a spot at the pool - every morning each chair had a towel already laid out on it and the towels would sit there for hours. We ended up having to find a spot on the beach. Oh, beach is littered with broken glass so be careful! Not to mention, we saw a drug deal go down on the beach every 15 min. The hotel didn't adhere to their own policies such as no smoking in lobby and shows. Yet, everywhere you look someone was smoking. That was not pleasant. Our room wasn't ready when we got there and they couldn't find a king for us unless we upgraded to Preferred. That was all a sales tactic because a few hours later they "found" a king for us. Don't fall for the dinner for $150 on the beach that serves the same food as you get in the restaurants. Liquor was watered down. Staff likes to start cleaning rooms and mowing the grass at the crack of dawn so that woke us up every morning. Not a hotel we would return to. This was our first time at a NOW resort and if the others are managed the same, we likely won't visit this chain ever again.

Stayed for a destinations wedding. Was very excited to make this trip to Mexico after a long hiatus of traveling. Unfortunately, though the reviews are pretty good online, the property is very dated, there’s a lack of cleanliness when it comes to upkeep floors, chairs, ceiling fans, molding, and the infrastructure of the resort. This I observed in the area where they serve breakfast and lunch daily. It’s an older property, furniture should be updated, but cleanings should never be compromised, as I also observed bird’s poop on the floors and chairs of the buffet area.

When we first checked into our room, the bed sheets smelled moist wet, with a musty masculine smell of sweat. We had to call and ask them to change those. It took quite some time from checking in to get comfortably settled. The staff did come promptly and take care of it immediately.

The bed and the pillows are very very very uncomfortable. I have not had a good night of sleep since I arrived here. I also found a spider in the room.

While I was showering the electricity shut off in the entire resort, my girlfriend was at the gym on the treadmill and she almost fell off the treadmill.

The pool cabanas are also very old and not capped well and the sheets are beige versus being white.

The staff and hospitality is AMAZING. To have waiters knowing your regular order on a daily basis is really great customer service, anytime we have had a issue and brought it up it was taken care of in a very well oriented manner.

There is limited alcohol and not any top shelf liquor. Restaurants close 11 PM and there is no 24 hour room service. The only thing open is a café that serves coffee and small bites.

The food is also very good. The rating comes from some of the lack of comfort while on vacation. Although the food is good and the service is good ultimately you’re here to relax and unfortunately having a good nights rest or being comfortable by the pool was not great.

There are limited restaurants on the property as well and the ones that do serve dinner at night are well kept.

They serve you a blue lemonade drink at check in. Very disgusting. I recommend just giving the guests arrive arrive a shot of tequila or a glass of champagne.

If you want better alcohol you have to pay for it.
Which in an all inclusive when you’re already paying you don’t want to spend more money.

If you’re looking to be comfortable in all aspects from accommodations to updated areas of the resort I recommend spending a little bit more money and going to a newer property.

Traveling with my friend and her 2 Childs during covid. We stayed 2 weeks at this hotel from 14/02 to 26/02/2021. The service is just excellent, all the team is here to provide an incredible service and make sure that you are enjoying your holidays at your best even with the restrictions. A big thank you to the Conciergerie team, Miguel and their chef Luis.

They work very hard to provide a faultless sanitary plan to protect the hosts and the team members. We got everything we needed in the resort, from a large restaurant selection, multiple savors, and a very high product quality for the food. Two days per week they arrange a special dinner by the beach or in the hall or prepare a barbecue outside.

The event team prepared high-quality and amazing shows for the host every night in the theater room ( concert, dance performance, karaoke..). And the daily animators were always there to make sure that you enjoy your stay by trying all the activities the hotel has to provide ( volleyball, basketball, crazy games, tennis court, ping pong... in addition to the bool and beach activity including kayak). Or if you want you can enjoy the spa or the adult pool, and let the children in the special kid's activity area.

Gabriella and all the barman will make sure that you are always hydrated !!

The hotel also provides some guides to visit Cancun or Tulum and enjoy aquatics or culturasl activities. If not you can book a taxi for 5 hours and enjoy your shopping at Playa del Carmen.

++++ They bring a hospital service at the hotel for all covid test necessary before departure, so we didn't have to stress and go to the Cancun hospital.

Sincerely, I am sending big applause to this hotel for all the effort they have put together to stay open during this hard time.. I will for sure get back and will remember this.

We arrived and checked into the preferred club lounge, which was nice and simple. We got building 1, which is next to the main pool if you don't mind lots of residual noise until 515pm each day, and sometimes the outside evening shows were loud. Our friends got building 3, which was much quieter all around.

The first night we ate at the Market Cafe buffet, which was quite good until one of our group members got stomach cramps and sickness. He was recovered by the next day. After we had the breakfast buffet in the Market Cafe the next day, my wife got sick. She recovered later that day.

The next day, we took a taxi into Puerto Morales, a $20 roundtrip, and shopped in the flea market for a while.

The next day on our friend's 25th anniversary, our friend got sick after lunch from eating at the Market Cafe buffet. She recovered that night after missing their anniversary dinner in Paramour. We never went back to the Market Cafe for anything after that incident.

The COVID test went well and quickly, and you got the results that same afternoon.

We did not use the main pool but used the Adult pool, which had great service and nice staff.

The restaurant staff were all kind and had good service. Men need to wear long pants to many of the restaurants.

The room thermostat would not go below 77F. Our friends got theirs adjusted, and it went to 76F Ours ran all the time we were there. Bring a personal small fan if you need a cold room.

The mini-bar in the room would not cool down, so we kept the cabinet door open to cool the drinks, which helped.
We called housekeeping about soap and shower gel which took a while to get. The shower gel took 3 days to show up.

We brought our Yeti cups and straws to keep the bar trips to a minimum, and also bring your own sunscreen as the gift shop is expensive for that.

We had the Preferred Club Swim-out room, which was very nice, and we would get it again in building 3 or 4 instead of building 1.

Our family just returned home from another beautiful stay at this fabulous resort. We are repeat guests and although concerned about health and safety, we trusted their commitment to cleanliness. They have instituted a program called the CleanCompleteVerification™ which increases their normal safety measures. So very glad we went!
From the minute we entered the gates we felt welcomed and safe by Anejes and the bell staff. Check in was efficient and our room was ready with all the details having been previously perfected by Karina, Luis and Sara. All the employees wear masks and are constantly sanitizing everything.
Our room was spotless.Everything was sanitized and in plastic bags. Out luggage was even sanitized. They checked our temperatures throughout the stay.
The restaurants were limited but Arturo and Enrique and the very pleasant hostesses did an amazing job of accommodating everyone in a very efficient manner. The food is so amazing and served by the most wonderful staff. Eduardo, Moises, Alberto and Omar made breakfasts and lunches worth getting up for. Dinners were presented with style by Eleursario and others as they tended to our many needs and desires.
The pools and lounges are staffed with the most energetic and helpful servers, bartenders and concierge. Drinks were prepared to perfection by Antonio, Fernando and Caesar and served with style and speed by Diego, Jose and Juan to name a few. The servers ensure you never go thirsty and make sure everyone is tended to. They are overseen by Jose Miguel who ensured the pool area was safe and everything ran smoothly making sure each guest knew they were special and welcomed. They all pay attention to everyone's needs and go above and beyond. They have security and lifeguards like Marcei that help with safety and first aid around the very well maintained and spectacular resort grounds. The beach was closed due to government regulations but was re-opening the day we left to everyone's excitement.
The days and evenings were filled with much fun provided by the Spectacular Entertainment Team headed by Luigi who is a Grand Master MC and makes the events so lively and fun. He is so enthusiastic and fun loving and really gets the party going. Luigi and his wonderful team, including Javier, do a fabulous job of getting everyone involved and participating in the daily pool games, exercises and sports. The evenings are filled with Karaoke, game shows, fire shows, dancing, and movies. There are activities for every age and no one is bored unless it is by choice. They work very hard to make everyone have a great time!
The management and staff certainly made us feel safe and important during our stay. We can't wait to return again soon. And we will! Thank you to the entire Now Sapphire Resort Team!

Just returned from Now Sapphire, and had a really average experience. I forced into paying for Preferred Club, after requesting to have 4 rooms to be grouped in the same building. With the added expense of being part of the club that did not appear to have any real perks other than having access to anther small lounge. The rooms were all very nice and happy with the accommodations. What was weird was turn down service that appeared every day at 5-6pm, right in the middle of getting ready most days, not fun to have your door knocked on in the middle of the shower. The mini bar on the room was often not filled with waters and other beverages.

The pools at the resort are nice and the drinks and waiters were really good around the pool. No complaints there.

The most frustrating part of the resort was the fact that you were not able to make reservations for the A la carte restaurants. There was a group of 9 of us and there was a struggle every night to get into the resturants. Often to be able to get in, but bottles of wine were used as a barging tool for our group to sit together and in a timely matter. The bottles of wine start at $40 USD a bottle! To get into Paramour we had to purchase a minimum of 2 bottles of wine. Why should I have to pay for wine when I have already paid to be at an all inclusive resort.

New Years Eve, that was such disappointing experience!! The resort was selling tickets for $50USD piece for a plated meal and a small show that ended around 10pm. You we're also encouraged to purchase wine packages starting a $250USD for the night. During New Years Eve some of the Al la Carte's were closed and the buffet was closed!!!!!!!! After 10pm the entertainment got awful!! The band that was playing was not entertaining and the resort failed to make the evening special!!

The Disco!!!! what a joke!! If your gro up is young don't expect there to be any dancing or fun times to be had in there!! It is an old man sports lounge, where the party goes too die!!!!!
