We have enjoyed multiple Dreams resorts, we visit the Cancun area 4-5x/year and absolutely loved the fairmont, the u at fiesta Americana, multiple Paradisus hotels, grand velas, and Estudio, and we thought Now Sapphire was going to be a small step up from dreams, but we are very disappointed.
We arrived 4 days ago and upgraded to an ocean front master (2 rooms, master bedroom and family room with sleeper sofa) for an additional $1700 because the king bed we reserved online was not available at check in, and the air conditioner doesn’t work at all in the bedroom! We can’t get anyone to repair it despite 7 complaints/calls over 4 days!
The workers are very nice, the food is pretty good except for the buffets, but there is a ton of seaweed and ants in the bathroom.
The inability to sleep with a 27 degree room (81 Fahrenheit) is definitely not what I was hoping for in any vacation, but especially not when paying extra for a ‘nicer’ room. The lack of customer service is truly unheard of—they are nice on the phone and in person, and they say it will fixed right away, but then no one shows up or does anything to help. Don’t stay in room 520 whatever you do! I unfortunately can’t recommend this hotel
