Will Smith brings back memory-wiping Men In Black character during surprise performance at Coachella... for first gig since THAT slap
Will Smith surprised the Coachella crowd in Indio, California on Sunday, joining J Balvin for a high-energy performance of Men in Black.
The Oscar-winning actor and former rapper, 55, and the Colombian singer, 38, thrilled the audience as they performed the song from Smith's 1997 sci-fi alien movie of the same name.
Will even got into character as James Darrell Edwards III (Agent J) wearing a black suit and sunglasses. Some of his backup dancers matched his look, while others dressed up as green aliens for the occasion.
Will's return to the Coachella stage comes five years after his last performance at the festival in 2019, when he joined son Jaden Smith on the Sahara stage, as they performed their song 'Icon.'
It's also his first musical performance since his infamous incident at the 2022 Oscars, in which he slapped comedian Chris Rock after he made a joke about his wife Jada Pinkett Smith's, 52, hair.

Jada and Jaden, 25 — who received a kiss on the neck from Justin Bieber the day prior — were both also present on Sunday to support Will.
Will gave an enthusiastic performance, encouraging the audience to sing along as Balvin danced next to him.
At the end of the song Balvin was captured by two agents and hilariously dragged off the stage.
Afterwards, Smith was seen holding up the device used in the movie to erase the memories of people who witness alien activities, as well as wiping the memories of agents ready to retire.
While Will channeled his character, Balvin wore a sparkly, silver jacket and pants over a white t-shirt.
During another part of his performance he changed into a black leather motorcycle jacket with a gold emblem.
He completed the look with black sunglasses and a pair of black jeans.
Meanwhile the actor's wife Jada rocked a long white coat, a denim skirt and black boots for the occasion.
Jaden sported a pink jacket over a black top and oversized light blue jeans which he wore fashionably pulled down.

The 1997 film starred Will alongside Tommy Lee Jones (Agent K) as agents of a secret government agency, the MIB, tasked with policing alien activity on Earth.
The movie made $250.7 million at the domestic box office, and prompted three sequels: 2002's Men in Black II, 2012's Men in Black 3 and 2019's Men in Black: International.
The Smith family appeared to have a blast at the event.
Jaden was also present at the festival the day prior, and was pictured getting a kiss from Justin Bieber on the neck during affectionate encounter.
The Sorry singer, 29, and the Karate Kid actor — who were last spotted together at a Beverly Hills dinner in January — enjoyed an affectionate reunion in a VIP area next to one of the concert stages, as seen in a viral video.
Jaden adorably surprised his BFF by wrapping him in a hug from behind.
Justin then playfully pecked Jaden's cheek before engaging in a lively conversation with his old pal and other mutual friends.
As fans know, the superstars' bond goes back to 2010 when they collaborated on Justin's hit Never Say Never — which was also the theme song for Jaden's movie The Karate Kid.

Smith is nearly two years removed from his infamous incident at the 2022 Oscars, in which he slapped comedian Chris Rock after he made a joke about Jada's hair
Meanwhile Jada happily showed support for her husband after their marriage has been in the spotlight ever since Smith infamously slapped Chris Rock onstage at the Oscars, after a joke about Jada's shaved head.
Although Will and Jada have shared few details about the current status of their marriage, she told DailyMail.com in December that her husband's shocking Oscars slap had saved their marriage.
'After all those years trying to figure out if I would leave Will's side, it took that slap for me to see I will never leave him,' she said. 'Who knows where our relationship would be if that hadn't happened?'
Jada admitted she and Will were in fact living separately when her husband strode onto the Oscar stage.
She revealed they were separated for seven years, starting in 2016, in her memoir Worthy, which was released in 2023.
She noted that no permanent decisions have been made about the future of her marriage, explaining that she and Will are 'still figuring it out.'
'We've been doing some really heavy-duty work together,' she said. 'We just got deep love for each other and we are going to figure out what that looks like.'
Aside from Jaden they also share daughter Willow, 22. Will also has son Trey, 30, from his first marriage to Sheree Zampino.
