'Kalki 2898 AD' director Nag Ashwin feels SS Rajamouli should direct 'Mahabharat': 'It is a complicated story, and it is so massive'

Nag Ashwin, who is currently basking on the success of his latest hit, 'Kalki 2898 AD', recently revealed his intentions for the Mahabharat episodes in the film. He also suggested that SS Rajamouli should make a film on 'Mahabharat'.
During the interview, Nag Ashwin discussed his intentions regarding future franchise installments and the influence of Mahabharat.He indicated that any extension of Mahabharat in the story would only occur where essential.

The filmmaker jokingly expressed his current disinterest in tackling a Mahabharat project. When questioned about who he would choose to direct such a film, he quickly provided an answer.

Nag Ashwin expressed his belief that Rajamouli Sir has the desire and capability to direct a Mahabharat film, emphasizing the need for passion and understanding of the complex and grand narrative. He agreed that Rajamouli's approach could indeed represent the pinnacle of cinematic achievement.
