Bobby Deol made his debut in 1995 with ‘Barsaat’. The actor recently shared a memory about flying to Italy to shoot a fight sequence with a tiger and getting injured while horse riding in London for this movie.
Bobby mentioned how his brother, actor Sunny Deol, wasn’t happy with his entry scene in the movie and wanted it to be unique. He told Curly Tales that his brother Sunny Deol wanted the introduction scene to be realistic, so they flew to Italy to shoot the fight scene with a tiger.

Bobby further added that everyone was against animal cruelty at that time. He shared an incident on set in India where his brother brought a tiger to shoot the sequence for ‘Barsaat’ and had its mouth sewn shut. Everybody felt that they were torturing the animal and wanted it to be sent back soon. Sunny then told Bobby about a man in Italy who had his own zoo with trained animals. The actor filmed the scene with a tiger in Italy, though he admitted to feeling apprehensive during the shoot, comparing the potential danger of a tiger bite to that of a dog bite.

‘Barsaat’ was the debut film of Twinkle Khanna. The film was originally going to be directed by Shekhar Kapur, but he left after 27 days of shooting. Rajkumar Santoshi then took over as the director.
