Stellar service and great food. The ambiance transports you to another time. We opted for the tasting menu by the decade (not sure if they offer this anymore) and I can say it did not disappoint. I think my favorite part was the tableside preparation of the filet, just exquisite. There are a few other menu items that involve tableside preparation, one involves an orange and is quite mesmerizing (great knife skills).
The long and short of it is: have some bubbles, get a bottle, opt for as many courses as you can handle and prepare for a very memorable dining experience; they know how to take care of you.

Tradition and modernity associated in a roller coaster of good tastes and surprises. That is what this place suggests. Quality with a touch of creativity and some forgotten flavors and textures, exposed in an exquisite manner by a high professional staff.

We went here for New Year’s Eve dinner and my birthday,
We were not told about the price of the service/food, then were hit with a bill of over 700 euros.
The food was ok but nothing to get too excited about,
There were a lot of Spanish people there, and as I am not Spanish I felt like I was not attended to as I should have been !
This was very disappointing !
The restaurant is set up well but is very claustrophobic as tables are very close together .
My wife had to get out of her seat if I wanted to go to the restrooms.

After having visited several Michelin star restaurants in Bcn, we found the leader from the bottom. Menu dishes were old and stuffy, dishes were not explained nor presented, the cleanliness of the plate setting was questionable, and service speed - especially having drinks and water in glasses - was unacceptably slow. One- time visit for sure, there are by far better selections to the offered price/quality in the city. I hope our day was a unfortunate negative fluke in the restaurant, but we will not return to find that out.

This was an incredible restaurant, clearly a Barcelona institution and definitely a place to be seen which is why I almost feel guilty writing this review. The service was impeccable, sommelier worked with us well but the food was not that pleasant. We really wanted to love it as it was our last big night out in BCN but it just missed the mark. I really wanted the duck but we were swayed by our waiter to the degustation. The food is sophisticated, the first couple of courses in the degustation were delicious but once the third dish (a foie gras dish) and the fourth (a potato dish)were served we were put off by the unbalanced flavours and it only got worse. The pigeon wellington was a disaster. The meat appeared to be cooked perfectly but it was dry, the texture was unusual with hard/tough pieces while chewing and the flavour just tasted bad in my mouth, I could not bare to eat it. The sorbet palate cleanser flavours did not work, also unpleasant in the mouth but the desert flan was perfect. Unfortunately too little, too late we were so disappointed, almost angry, we left an unfinished second bottle of wine. So for 400+ euros I can name at least 50 other restaurants to eat at in Barcelona before you going here.

My wife and I had an excellent dinner here but in no way is this at the Michelin 1 Star I am used to in other restaurants rated similarly.
I would say the service level was very high, the sommelier was excellent in picking matching wines and the food was very good. I was just expecting better.

As far as service goes, this restaurant has an A+ from the time one sets a foot at the door. We had regular white wine and it was very good. I had the bouillabaisse with cigala, which was not bad, although it would have tasted better had it been served a little warmer. The presentation of the second course (rodaballo salvaje) was not appealing and I could not find a striking taste in it. I must admit that the souffle de grand marnier [sic] was perfectly baked inside and out. The assortment of cheeses was perfect.

Our first fine dining evening during COVID times. Social distancing and precautionary measures of course, we were really well taken care of my wife and me.
We chose the tasting menu and asked for some changes which they did.
The gambas tartare was amazing !
All washed with a 2000 Barolo.
We like the place, traditional setup, classy, elegant, but you don't feel uncomfortable. Service table side.
What we appreciated the most was the service ! Really good. Nice waiters, friendly, speaking Spanish and English with us. Was a perfect evening.

Really great place, food was superb and service stuff was nice and helpful.
We ate three course meal and all of the plates were really good in taste and look. Main dish was duck and it was so good it is by itself worth the trip to Barcelona.
I strongly can recommend!!!!

this is one of my worst restaurant experiences. environment and service good. tasteless bland food. maybe it is just that spanish (catalan) food in general is bland. it is unbelieable that guide michelin would award a star. we ate the tasting menu with wine package.

Visited for a surprise birthday dinner for a friend. The venue looks a bit dodgy from the outside and - yes - somewhat dated and the style is old-fashioned, but personally I think that's part of the charm.
The food was excellent, the service even better. The suggested wine pairings worked very well with the food. Super attentive and polite waiters.
All in all a very nice experience!

The interior of the restaurant is very good, the service is awesome and the waiters are very kind and adorable. However, the food is average. I ordered the lobster starter - which was without taste at all and with a transparent jelly around it (without taste and, in my opinion, making the taste of such a good product as the lobster be very average).
The main dish was good - pigeon (although the foie sauce was very strong and the meat had liver taste).
The dessert - too sweet.
The plates - very, but very simple for a Michelin star restaurant.
