I've been here yesterday evening with my girlfriend while looking for a restsurant where to eat genuine, typical catalan recipes and a good paella. Too many times I've been disappointed by tourist food traps in the past and I've heightened my senses to avoid them.
Well, this one has been a wonderful experience.
Starters were absolutely fresh and tasty: the calamarcitos in sauce have been delicious and the artichokes chips were crispy, tasteful and astonishing.
Pa amb tomaquets as well have been the best ever eaten.
We ordered a paella de marisco among the wide choice of different paellas and have been absolutely delighted: rice was perfectly cooked: paella was warm, tasty, with the right crispness and the fish really was great in taste, texture and mouth feeling. The compositiin of rice and fish was perfectly balanced and well integrated, maybe due to the fact that they use part of sea water in the cooking process.
We drank sangria along the dinner and it was so tasty and balanced that we ordered a second jar.
Crema catalana dessert was a bit undertone and underflavored compared to the excellence of the rest of the dinner so maybe I'd suggest a different dessert, but eating here is surely an experience worth to do in Barcelona.
The waiter and the maitre also were both friendly and professional and the spaces are decorated with taste and style.

The paella here was hands down the best paella I have ever eaten in my life. We ordered the ‘Seafood and Mountain’ Paella and it was absolutely brilliant. However, perhaps a lesson for us, we ordered a jug of Sangria which wasn’t on their drinks menu and they charged us €18 for it. This was ridiculously overpriced for Sangria given i’m currently sat in a restaurant in the Gothic Quarter writing this review drinking from a jug of Sangria that cost less than €6! What amazes me is that Xativa is not exactly in the most happening, touristy area so the price of the Sangria was just too much. I had creme brûlée for desssert which was pretty good! We also ordered one of the dessert wines- Floralis- this was lovely to finish off the meal. Overall the food here was excellent, we were just shocked at the price of the Sangria. Would definitely recommend if you’re wanting an excellent, authentic paella.

A 10-15 minute walk from Barcelona Sants we opted to go here after seeing it featured on some sites for a paella in Barcelona.
Was here on a quiet Monday night, we were given the choice to either sit inside or outside, we opted for inside.
Menu is varied with some typical Spanish dishes. Even tough the place was quiet, service was a bit slow for drinks, for food it was good timing since good food takes time to cook.
We opted for Iberico ham and Patates Bravas as a starter, ham was fine, the patates were beautifully cooked, crunchy and tasty, try this plate if you happen to be here.
For man we had a Paella shellfish for two, decent portion and resonable price. Tasty dish, job done well.
We finished with a tiramisu since our first preference of a chocolate dessert was not available, tough it could be that it take some time to prepare and staff wanted to leave. A product finishing on a quiet night simply will raise some questions, especially for someone who can understand how the industry work.
Four beers, water and a liquer complimented our meal, selection of beers was minimal, they can surely improve this. Price was a reasonable €80 for 2 persons.

Delicious fresh paella in a wonderful location. I made a special trip to the neighborhood to eat at this restaurant and it was worth it. As a solo traveler, I found that many recommended 'best of' restaurants have a required minimum of 2 people for paella dishes, due to the work involved, but on their menu Aerroseria Xàtiva states they try to accommodate single diners -- as they graciously did with me. The service was great and the food was amazing. The paella is deserving of the "Best of" rating it received in "Time Out." Hope to return on my next trip to Barcelona.

I went to great lengths to come to this restaurant as it came highly recommended for 2 reasons. First they have a gluten free paella and second they do paella for one. ( most places only do it for 2 or more)
The host was charming, warm and personable! He was fantastic.
My food was not good. Overcooked to the point of being burnt and tasted like yesterday’s leftovers. As you can see from my picture, the mussels shells were cracked and brittle and the paella was burnt all around the edge. The prawns were empty: when I cracked them open there was nothing that could be eaten.
I ordered a glass of wine and it never came. I reminded them about the wine and they still never brought it.
It was not busy when I arrived so it’s not like they were at capacity and things messed up. I don’t understand how it got such good ratings. I am completely baffled and disappointed.

We had a wonderful dinner at Arrosseria Xàtiva Les Corts. We went for several kinds of paellas and Catalan traditional deserts and every single dish was a delight. Our children enjoyed the kids menus and also received coloring pages, crayons and great, friendly attitude. Not only is the food exceptionally great, but the staff makes you want to come back to this place again and again. You guys run a great service, and made us feel warm and welcome almost like visiting a friend's home. Me and my family, we all would strongly recommend everybody to visit this place. Memories made here will last a lifetime!

Lunch on their sidewalk patio was lovely. Friendly sevice, despite arriving before they opened.
But on returning there, for dinner, the next evening, we were greeted as old friends, and made to feel like locals, despite their having a party of forty arriving not long after we did.
Skip the paella in the touristy places and seek out this neighbourhood gem.

We're on holiday in Barcelona and wanted to find good, authentic tapas, rather than being dragged in to a street restaurant that was just average. A Google search showed this gem, and with a Forbes recommendation, it would have been silly not to!
We went for the set menu, 35€ pp gives you 2 starters, a sharing paella, 2 desserts and 2 drinks.
We went for the fried potatoes (think of thin chip-shaped crisps) topped with 2 fried eggs and Iberian ham to start, could not believe the size for a starter!
Next came the paella, with tender monkfish and shrimp, there are no words to do it justice. How we squeezed it in after the starter I don't know, but we then had to make room for the Pastel Xàtiva and Crema Catalana...no regrets!!
So a great evening had food wise, and then you add the staff to the mix. Fun, friendly and on point without it being an effort or looking like they're trying too hard. Tipping isn't an expectation in Barcelona, this is the first venue where I wouldn't have been comfortable NOT leaving one.
This hidden gem is far enough off the beaten track to not be a tourist hotspot, but easy enough to get to on the very reliable public transport without feeling like you've spent ages travelling. An amazing place, and if we're ever back in Barcelona we will be back. Thank you to everyone involved

Disappointed, we wanted Paella but this was not the best I have tasted. It was dry and overcooked which was a shame. Service was not the best either, I think they were more interested in some corporate dinner they were hosting next door. Maybe we were unlucky but it was the worst meal we had in our four day visit to Barcelona

I had eaten here twice during my stay in Barcelona and both times I enjoyed it. The staff speak English and even when they don’t understand fully they try to help which is much appreciated. Should you want to try some local food I would recommend this place definitely and the bonus is that is is not located in the main touristic area!

My 14yr old son and I were staying near La Rambla; the famous street has a fabulous atmosphere but is perhaps not so great for food. Keen to sample paella we asked a friendly local to recommend a restaurant, amongst others they suggested Arrosseria Xàtiva Les Corts.
The restaurant was a 15min taxi ride from our hotel in what looked to be a quiet residential neighbourhood. It was dark so I may be mistaken! We booked in advance but it may not be necessary, although by the time we left it was buzzing. The staff were very friendly, happy to explain the menu and help us with our meal choice.
We ordered the tomato bread and ham to start and seafood paella for two. The paella was outstanding, as was the ham. I’m not an expert but it’s the best I’ve ever tasted. It was my son’s first time eating paella other than mine and he was very happy, he particularly loved the generous amount of shellfish.
It’s definitely worth a visit.

We decided on a set menu that offered us a couple of starters, a shared paella with seafood and desserts. We chose a goats cheese salad, which was amazing as well as fried octopus. The servings were very generous. Next came the paella which had diced cuttlefish, mussels, prawns and langoustines. It was delicious and there was so much that we couldn’t quite finish it. My only complaint would be that there were limited drink options if you don’t want to buy a bottle of wine.

This was our second visit, first in two years but this time we were not disappointed at all. The food was great, particularly the Paella but also the fried aubergines. A nice white wine recommended by the waiter was also excellent.

Had a paella, and food was good. Service was average at best. Server legit could not be less bothered. A shame because the guy who was supposed to be our server was super nice. Def a difference in service between locals and tourists. Also a shame because I am fluent in Spanish.

We had excellent paella here and a nice bottle of cava. It wasn’t busy when we went but we booked a table to be sure. We also had the apple crumble for dessert which was okay (average) but the paella is the main event. Very friendly staff too!
