Enjoyed a clean, bright, welcoming motel room at The Pines. Family of 3 (ages 7, 48, and 81). All facilities were well-maintained. My daughter made lots of friends around the pool and the recently-installed play structure. A very good value, close to many different sights: North Rustico, Cavendish. I appreciated that the Pines is a gay-friendly establishment.

We loved our room with a full kitchen. It was small but beautifully decorated, clean and felt homey. We had unit 8 and enjoyed the chairs outside our room because they overlooked the water. It was a great place to relax and have a drink. The owners Mark and Larry have done a wonderful job. The parking lot and grounds still needs some work but I'm sure it will be fixed in time. The internet was out when we checked in and Larry offered us his phone to make a call. I can't say enough about the hospitality of the owners. We would definitely stay here again.

We chose the Pines because it was pet friendly. It turned out a lot more than that. The rooms are newly renovated and beautifully decorated. The view of Hunter River is wonderful. Location is another plus. It seems to be centrally located, not far from Cavendish or Charlottetown. Lovely restaurants abound close by. I would definitely choose Pines again. The only thing I could change would be a larger room or suite. Two adults and two dogs need more space. My fault, not their's. Oh a special hello to Larry, one of the owners who was available all day and evening. A pleasant , helpful and attentive.

My husband, son and I stayed from July 11-18 . We stayed in a motel room which was fine for our needs. They were many other options from a beautiful suite ( really a small condo) to cottages and trailer homes . All options were both clean and comfortable. Larry, the owner, is in the process of continuing to update and renovate. He went out of his way to answer any questions and would do anything to make our stay more enjoyable. He was able to provide us with a microwave and was even available in the evening to help us with the fire pit.The location is close enough to all major tourist attractions. It's about a 5 minute drive to lobster suppers and to Cavendish attractions. I saw from previous reviews that the wifi was slow. I have a teenage son and he was quite happy with the connection .We had no problems. I would definitely come back and recommend to friends! Colleen from Montreal

The owners of this sweet little oasis are outstanding!! We booked our cottage for the Cavendish beach music festival and we had a fantastic time here. Cottage was quaint and very comfortable. It took us maybe 15 mins to drive to the concert site. Has a pool and also close to a beach. Would prefer if we could book for 3 nights not 5 for the concert weekend but we made a mini vacation out of it!!

We are glad that you enjoyed your stay. The one bedroom kitchenette units have all been completely renovated, and with stainless steel appliances. We try to stay competitively priced with local businesses. Everyone wants to receive a good deal for their money. The motel was in need of TLC and we appreciate that guests notice all the hard work.

The setting is lovely on the river. Checkin was flawless and quick, and we were checked on several times to see if we needed anything. The rooms have been renovated and is very tastefully decorated in a serene color selection. I really like not having carpet with all the "scrunge" that is harbored there. The wood floors were very pretty. The only drawback was the plumbing would get air in the lines and it would make that screeching noise at first. That is the perils of older plumbing. The chairs on the lawn was inviting to sit and relax, and the chairs on the porches invited conversation with your neighbors. We also appreciated the ability to do laundry after being on the road for a week. Very nice!

We are pet friendly and understand that guests like their accommodations clean and comfortable. All the motel rooms did have carpet but that was the first item on our list to be removed. The motel required TLC, as it was starting to show its age. Our plans are to build a new addition where the office currently is, that will be an office / laundry / gift shop. It will also have 3 new units for rent. The currently laundry room will be transformed into a laundry room for use by guests like yourselves. We appreciate all feedback, allows us to know where to place our focus ! Larry & Mark
