I went twice while camping in the area. I was impressed by the tea menu and was very happy when it arrived as loose leaves in the pot with a matching cup and a strainer to prevent the leaves from entering my cup. The menu is small but there were enough options that we all had something different on both days. There are quilts and painted glass windows that added to the tea house atmosphere and became a discussion topic. The views of the river through the windows were great and changed drastically with the change in weather between back to back visits. Eggs were cooked to order, pancakes and waffles were fluffy in the right ways. The french toast is done with baguette which we thought was strange but it worked.

Located on the north side of the Island close to Cavendish, this outlet has a wide range of delicious products including specialty preserves which you can sample! I tried the strawberry & Grand Marnier preserve and bought two bottles! Really delicious! Many acres of beautiful gardens adjacent to the property which includes a respite home for those who are terminally ill or in need of respite from caring for one who is. Project funded by the store owner, based in part on donations from the public. The gardens are well-groomed and awesome!

We visited Prince Edward Island Preserve Company as part of a motor coach tour sponsored by our cruise ship. The facility is charming...we were ushered into the roomy and bright dining room where we were offered the choice of Potato Pie or Steamed Lobster. I chose the lobster, which was small, perhaps a little over a pound, but well-prepared and accompanied by potato salad and Cole Slaw. I enjoyed my meal. Staff was friendly and efficient. Afterward, I visited the gift shop where I enjoyed looking at the preserves, jellies, and jams. I bought some salmon pate and smoked mussels. This is a nice facility and I would recommend to any and all visiting the area. Enjoy.

Despite is fine location I would advise consumers to avoid this place because they appear to have a permanent wait list despite having many open tables. It may be possible that the hostess is expecting $20 dollar bill in order to get a table or it’s simply poor management. Poor management equates to a poor eating experience. There are many equally fine restaurants in the area so I have come to the conclusion that 4 rebuffs in a row means that 25 years of patronage must come to an end….

Sorry for your experience with us. We are currently experiencing a labour shortage. We are only seating what our kitchen can produce in a timely fashion. We should have this sorted out soon. Again sorry for the wait to be seated. Sincerely. Adam

Went two days in a row. First day, the owners had a meeting with some business person in front of customers and it was distracting and loud. Didn't make for an enjoyable atmosphere. The second visit, the next day for lunch, a big bus full of people came (totally fine!) But the owner seemed annoyed when we said we would wait for a seat and lunch and it left us feeling like a serious inconvenience. The service and atmosphere just seems much less friendly and more tense than last year. Food is still delicious, but the customer service was lacking. Try the lobster roll croissant and raspberry cream cheese pie!

This is a great spot to visit, whether travelling alone or in a group. There is something for everyone. To begin with, the surrounding area is beautiful, and this place only adds to that. There are 10 plus acres of gardens located on water, gardens what can be visited and donations made, all monies going towards supporting the development and maintenance of a local hospice. There is a bake shop, ice cream and gelato, and an adjacent cafe that overlooks the garden. There is also a restaurant. Of course there are preserves to sample and buy, as well as many other things, like tea and china. The pies are legendary. Everything is beautiful and new, but stately and elegant in a provincial manner. It matches PEI in so many ways. Prices are on the higher side, but not unreasonable for the quality and overall experience. Don't miss this place.

The wait was outrageously long!!! This place changed management 2 years ago. We arrived and gave our names at 1012. It is presently 12:33 and we are not fed. We stayed simply to see how bad it was going to be. We let another couple we did not know sit with us who would have had to wait longer since we were seated at a four person table. Talking to them helped pass the time. I would strongly suggest that if you go here, have a reservation. While writing this my food came at 1240. When the owner found out we were upset, she very graciously offered to reimburse us but we opted for store product as the jam really is second to none! BTW they have gf options

We stopped here for the pie, and were not disappointed. The raspberry pie is delicious and the coconut cream pie was the best I’ve ever had. I was sorry we hadn’t waited and eaten lunch here too. If the desserts were this good, I can imagine the meals are as well.

Though we had lunch in the restaurant, for the life of me I can’t remember any details! But I do recommend stopping in the gift shop where they sell their locally made jams and jellies including some unusual flavors like lime. All flavors can be sampled. The best part is that if you buy $100 (CAD) worth of products, there is free shipping to the US. I took advantage of the offer to stock up. The well-packed box arrived home in about 10 days. From the gift shop, there is a window so you can peek into the factory.

Stopped in for a beauty of a lunch for 5x. Mussels, fish tacos and some potato pie for the adults, grilled cheese and a jam sandwich (made from the excellent preserves sold next door) for the kiddos. Everything was fresh, served hot and the service was efficient and friendly. Could ask for a nicer lunch out.

Our cruise ship excursion stopped at the Prince Edward Island Preserve Company for lunch where our group was served a whole lobster lunch with all the trimmings. Service was wonderful as was the meal. Knew from the quality of the raspberry cream pie dessert that we needed to stop by their shop after lunch to check out their preserves. Was able to sample their products and purchased a few to carry home. Definitely a place to have a meal when on the Island.

We visit here every time we are in PEI. Love everything about it. Love the staff, the products and the restaurant food. All are exceptional. We even order online from here. The cherry salsa is our favourite. Certainly enjoyed the potato pie and bubbling seafood dishes. The dessert menu is hard to choose from but the sticky toffee pudding and raspberry cheesecake are a must.

We were part of a tour group and this is one of the places we had dinner. They served a potato pie which is one of the best things I have ever eaten. It was made with Prince Edward Island potatoes and bacon and cheese-what's not to like. The gift shop is also very nice and they have all kinds of interesting preserves and products to buy. It was a really nice experience.

Aimed at motor coach crowd. Lots of seniors were there. Seemed to be a random place - no real connection to the community it was in, that we could see. They promoted that they had airplane-size jams but none were on display to purchase.

Beautiful gardens, nice tea and jam selections, great restaurant! We had lunch and the food was great. We had the seafood chowder, famous potato pie and crab cakes. For dessert we had the raspberry cheesecake. I was expecting more a cheesecake texture since it has cream cheese but it was really more pie… Would definitely visit again.
