The West Hollywood EDITION hotel garners praise for its attentive service and pristine cleanliness, offering a modern and luxurious atmosphere that captivates guests. Travelers are enamored with the stunning views from the well-appointed rooms, though some guests find the noise problematic and feel the rooms lack character. While the rooftop pool and bar are popular highlights, opinions on value are divided, with criticism directed at the high cost of parking and breakfast and the perception of limited room amenities. Reviewers also mention the hotel's vibrant club and rooftop bar, but some express disappointment with the limited dining options and the pool's late opening hours.

To start, the hotel itself is very new and well-appointed. The clean lines and scent that is pervasive throughout (Le Labo created a scent just for them) are amazing. The hotel has an almost nordic feel with the style they chose. The pool and workout room are equally amazing with the pool/rooftop bar really putting out the wow factor. Additionally, the service from the housekeeping staff was great.

I did take issue with the way they treated their elite members (platinum elite here). I understand it is not the highest tier (I have roughly 120 nights a year split between Marriot and Hyatt), but I can almost certainly say i was lied to at check-in. I was "upgraded" from a standard deluxe room to a deluxe with a balcony that overlooked....the fire pit. If this would have been the only room available, I would understand, but even when I checked in, there were plenty of loft rooms and suites available for purchase but was told they only upgrade one level up. I tried to find out the rules behind Edition properties and how they handle upgrades and could find no rule of this sort so can only guess I was lied to. Addtionally, the room i was placed in had a connecting door and could hear almost everything that went on next door. So i would suggest requesting rooms that don't have connectors. Another issue, that really isn't the hotel's fault, but is worth mentioning, is that because the hotel bar is now a hot scene in LA, the lobby is a crowded drinking spot at night. Typically not an issue, i wouldn't think, but there was some type of fight on the patio near the fire put at 2/3 am that sounded like it was in my room it was so loud.

All in all, I enjoyed my experience, but am not sure I would return unless they decided to treat their elite members differently. But if you want a beautiful looking hotel and a stunning pool with a view, this is the place.

Great hotel experiences start the moment one enters the hotel, and usually that first point of contact is the front desk. I was very fortunate and privileged to be assisted by Mr Juan there, from the start of my stay til the very last moment. I am very grateful and appreciative of how much he cares about my stay. He is flexible and accommodating, this is why we dont have robots at check-ins but a real person, to handle a diverse types of situations. He was also very personable, i enjoyed talking to him,

Also to mention Kyran, also very personable and helpful.

In fact several people i spoke to in the hotel, all felt very genuine and friendly. This is the hotel that really cares for your comfort during your stay.

The pool and restaurant at the top floor, are gorgeous! That view! This should be an attraction itself!

The rooms have a very minimalistic design to them, with white oaks predominately. if i could only use 3 words to describe the rooms, they would be "Simple, Elegant & Chic!". Light colors are very comfortable in hot places like LA where sunlight is abundant.

If you come to LA, and specifically west hollywood area, there is absolutely no other hotel that is better, or even close to the level u would see in The EDITION!.

Thank you EDITION & Mr Juan for this amazing, wonderful stay, this is the kind of memory that people will talk about for the rest of one's life.

From the moment you step in, all you feel is luxury in this hotel. We were greeted with my favorite water (Just Water) and was supplied to us anytime we asked for water.

Upon arrival, we were upgraded to a suite! It was the most memorable experience staying there and the staff was the most attentive the entire time.

The staff would complete any request we made with a smile and were so sweet! They even heated up our food bright and early in the morning with a microwave which they picked up from our door and dropped off within 10 minutes.

I would highly recommend staying here given that I already can’t wait to be back!

Oh and to top it off they dropped off the MOST delicious cupcake ever for our anni!

When you pay more than 500$ per night you don’t pay for the room ( the design is less than average with cheap materials), you are paying for the services they provide as well for the safety.
The hotels is new, pool is amazing, breakfast delicious but they don’t care about customers, they enter in the room while the privacy was on and they search in my bag and the stole all the dollars that they could find inside my purse. not even in the poor countries that i travelled before never happened this to me. I was shocked. When i tried to explain what happened they said that they don t have cameras on the hall for privacy so they are not sure and they cannot investigate so I need to talk to the legal team of Marriott. So they didn’t do a single move about it. What a disappointment!

If you are staying in a suite they don’t have blackouts so you cannot sleep during day a lots of light comes inside the room plus they don’t have a system to close the curtains you need to do it manually which si very annoying you need to go behind the furniture to pull each curtain in and out all day long!!

The service was great. Everyone we interacted with from the front desk staff to valet and pool attendants were great. The hotel was clean and the daily housekeeping did a great job,
But the hotel was very expensive for what was offered. The king size room was roomy but the bed was flat and uncomfortable. The pillows were very soft and even with 2 extras was not sufficient. The thermostat in the room didn't work correctly so I was hot every night. We had a handicap bathroom that only had a regular bathtub, no shower. The water pressure was VERY low with a small stream from an overhead attachment and the water went from hot to scalding hot during the showers.
The 5th floor terrace had no real view and the furniture consisted of 2 wire chairs so it was not comfortable so we could not relax out there.
The pool area was beautiful! But the cocktails were $20 each and the food was $19 for small appetizer portions.
Valet was $55 a night.
Add in local taxes and the costs added up.
It is at the top of sunset so the location is good and walkable.

I really enjoyed my stay here at this hotel. At first, I was hesitant because of the negative reviews I read here but it was a great and luxurious stay for me. The service has been excellent and the staff are very nice and welcoming. I was supposed to meet up with some friends the plans have changed and i decided to travel solo. I thoroughly enjoyed my weekend stay here. Breakfast at the room service is okay (I prefer more varieties tbh). I stayed for a few nights here and I got bored with their breakfast selection on the second morning. The lunch menu at the Roof can be improved (the portions are too small). Ardor is excellent though! The drinks at the Lobby Bar (especially from their cocktail menu) are really good but they are pricey — they do use top-shelf spirits so that explains why. I was upgraded to a suite using my AMEX FHR on my reservation and it made my stay very nice! I love their huge suite with the nice tub to soak in. Then, a special treat of chocolate sweets and a handwritten letter came up at my room. It was a really nice touch. The rooftop pool is excellent. The other guests are very friendly as they are enjoying their day. I appreciate the excellent service I received on my stay overall. I highly recommend this hotel in WEHO! It was my first time staying in this area but I’ll try the other hotels around here up next.

We stayed here during the 4th of July week and loved it! The Edition is classy, amazing upscale decor everywhere with the lobby, the restaurants, the spa, the rooftop pool with panoramic LA views! Combine this with a warm welcoming staff throughout the hotel and awesome food at the Ardor and rooftop restaurant The Roof!

We stayed in the 2 Queen room in the inside which was quiet, with a nice balcony with views, though a minimalistic upscale design in a small space. The bathroom is a bit awkwardly designed with more of an open feel as opposed to a private enclosure. We had a HVAC issue the last night, and Juan the front-desk manager took care of us with great customer service. The location is excellent right on the Sunset strip with a good valet service. We went to their nightclub on a Fri night, there wasnt really anyone there despite the club having a great decor. They play disco/retro which dont think anyone cares about, they have a nice facility to market it with good music, entice a sophisticated crowd and opportunity to make it a happening place like the Mondrian's Skybar!

The lobby is beautiful and inviting. My son and I played pool every single day, it was a lot of fun. We had breakfast at the Ardor which was excellent, and the decor inside and outside patio area is a must-see, they've definitely spent money in doing this up. At the rooftop poolside views are amazing, its not a party pool like what we've been to at the Mondrian or Roosevelt but its more of a family relaxing pool-side. We loved the tofu and carrot tacos and had it several times at the Roof restaurant. We watched the 4th fireworks from the Roof with DJ music and the views are amazing. One of the nights I injured my foot hitting a protruding couch and the security team and Roof manager Esteban/Luis/Joel all went above and beyond to provide great care to ensure the foot didnt swell up.

The Spa is excellent, I got a body massage from an experienced masseuse. The decor and facilities are incredible. And the Le Labo scent specially created for the Edition is highly addictive!

Overall we loved our stay with the upscale decor, Le Labo scent, relaxing rooftop pool, and excellent warm friendly staff that goes out of their way to make guest feel welcome and enjoy their stay. We would love to come back!

My wife and I recently stay at the Edition for a local overnight get away. The hotel is beautiful, very clean. We were first disappointed that the pool closed so early, 6pm on Friday. We were grateful that we made reservations before hand so we at least got an hour to lay out before it closed.

Upon getting ready to check out, I went to wash my hands in the bathroom of our hotel room. My wedding ring started to slip off so I took it off and placed it on the edge of the sink.

Upon getting home a few hours later on Saturday, I realized I left my diamond wedding ring on the sink. I immediately called hotel security, and was told they would check with housekeeping and that someone was already in the room. I accept full responsibility for leaving my ring, but I very disappointed on how the hotel handled the situation. I felt like it was not important to them at all. After calling back two days later on Monday, I spoke to another security, who checked and said nothing was turned in, again a lack of consideration in tone and 3 days later, I am still waiting for a “phone call back” after requesting to file a claim. Although what started a very nice overnight ended on a sour note so we will not be returning again.

Overall a disappointing experience inspite of the good efforts of the staff. This hotel is new, recently opened and front staff and housekeeping staff are most helpful but the restaurant is AWFUL. At the high prices for rooms one in what is suppose to be a top tier hotel one expects a quality and comfortable restaurant. It does have good ambiance but service is mixed at best and the menu is a disaster. Little if any comfort food for any of the three meal periods and as they attempt to be special - they fail big time. Small portions and not tasty food. Moreever this restaurant could be welcome as a destination but NOT as the main place to eat in what is represented as an upscale hotel.....ugh!!!

The West Hollywood Edition was a great hotel in West Hollywood. It’s definitely an “Edition” hotel, meaning similar to their properties (which is a good thing). The lobby bar is inviting and the The Roof is phenomenal. Expect a wait if you visit the roof, as it’s as popular as you might imagine.

I wasn’t impressed with their restaurant, Ardor. The service was incredibly slow as if they assumed you wanted to spend a lot of time there. At the time, we just wanted some breakfast and were not in the mood to spend our morning there. Perhaps if we weren’t in a hurry, it would have been a better experience.

Overall, this is a great hotel. We stayed in the penthouse and it was awesome. Even if the TVs didn’t always work. I’d definitely recommend this hotel to anyone, especially if you’re a walker.

Yeah, sadly Ritz and Edition do not recognize much for elites. I stayed there as a Titanium and did get a nice suite upgrade but no breakfast or other perks. It is a beautiful hotel if you can overlook the Bonvoy limitations. If you have American Express Platinum or Centurion or Chase Hotels, you can get a good deal with breakfast, a stay credit and an upgrade.
