We had a 2 night, 3 day stay in Barcelona and stayed in the Leonardo on La Rambla, it was amazing. Clean, modern interior with very helpful staff. The roof top pool was small but perfect for cooling off after a day of sightseeing. The hotel is in a perfect location with the food market a few streets away only a 2 minute walk to the main drag! Breakfast was of a high standard and we were able to store our luggage for €2 all day and have a shower before our late flight. We would definitely stay again and would highly recommend.

Pros:
Great location
It is within a 10 min walk to the Gothic quarter and Las Ramblas shopping area. The famous Boqueria market is two minutes away, allowing for shopping or dining without having to wander far from the hotel. And public transit is available nearby with the L3 subway station (5 min walk) and La Cataluna Plaza and Renfe (train stations - 15 min walk) nearby.
The pool and terrace area on the roof is so lovely. After sightseeing during the day, my husband and I retreated to the roof for a dip in the pool, a cold drink in the shade, and to sit and read before heading out for a late dinner
The front desk and terrace staff were so kind and accommodating.
We had a Deluxe room and the AC was strong! Sometimes AC doesn't work well so we were extremely pleased with the cool air and the consistent hot water in the shower.
Cons:
There is no view from the room. As this is on a side street, all you will see is streams of other tourists going to or returning from Las Ramblas.
We were on Level 1, so we did hear noise from the street. Despite staying there on the weekend, it was not very noisy compared to other popular tourist cities I've visited before. If you are sensitive to noise, try to get a room on a higher floor.
For what you get, it is on the pricier side. I have not stayed in Barcelona before so I don't have anything to which I can compare it. Also, we were there on a weekend during the height of tourist season so I think the price of the room was fair.

Only a 5 minute walk to Las Ramblas so it is in a very central situation. That is probably why prices are a little high staying here. Our room was adequate. as we only used the hotel as a base. Modern bathroom and clean with a hair dryer They supply a useless coffee machine but no kettle which we thought was ridiculous. A safe included in the room.We had breakfast here on our first day ,which was fine but overpriced. So we went out for the rest of our stay and found better value. Reception Staff mostly spoke good English and were generally helpful. There was a luggage room were you could leave your case in a locked locker at the cost of 2 euros. Free wifi.

We are currently staying at the hotel and we’re on our 2nd night! We are so impressed! The beds are super comfy and we can’t fault the cleanliness! When we arrived; there was a bottle of water and some apples; with the water being replaced when the room is cleaned (which seems to be daily). It’s in a great location, very accessible to all areas! The staff are very helpful and happy to help whenever. The shower is really great, perfect temperature & pressure and very clean. Room comes with an easy-to-use safe and a mini fridge which is great for storing drinks.
The one negative thing I would comment on is the thin, not sound-proofed walls, so maybe bring some ear plugs, but hasn’t impacted our stay whatsoever.
Would 100% recommend for a couple not wanting to pay loads for a hotel and wanting to visit Barcelona.

A good base. Only a 5 minute walk to Las Ramblas and Liceu Metro station. Also within easy walking distance the Gothic Quarter 10 minutes and the Old Port and seafront is about 15 minutes. The beach is a lot further away. The hotel itself is a labyrinth of corridors and initially it was difficult to find our room on the third floor. The room itself was cosy with Air Conditioning, WiFi, A safe and a coffee machine that was a waste of time, No kettle so we could not make a cup of tea which was a shame as their web site states tea making facilities. The bathroom was excellent. There is a buffet breakfast available tried it once, Breakfast room small and tables very close together, Very chaotic and overpriced, we did not bother again. The hotel was perfect for a 3 night stay. Upon arrival, our room wasn't quite ready (we were early). The staff directed us to a locker room where for 2 Euros we could store our luggage in a locker room. We then went straight up to the roof top bar where we could sit and have a cocktail/soft drink while we waited. It was sunny but shade was available with nice seating areas. We had a 'comfort room'. This was perfectly adequate for two people. Very clean and modern decor. Bottled water, a bottle of Spanish red wine, apples and a coffee machine with 2 coffee pods were available on arrival. The bathroom was clean, roomy enough and came with toiletries, fresh white towels, a hairdryer and a magnifying make-up mirror. Room service is available. The reception was able to book a taxi for us with ease. We didn't sit in the restaurant, but breakfast, lunch and dinner was available. Room service choices was fine too. The hotel decor was modern. The only complaint is how small the pool was - it looked bigger in the photos. You couldn't swim in it at all! It was more just to sit and cool down in which was disappointing. We would stay again. Although the hotel was 2 minutes walk from La Rambla, it did sometimes feel a little bit of a dingy street/area. We would, however, stay again though.

Hotel is in a good location within the centre of Barcelona, easy access to Las Ramblas and not far from the beach. We stayed in a comfort room on the second floor, room was a good size for two people. Good water pressure in the shower, his and hers sinks, towels and bottle of water changed every day.
Reception staff were welcoming and friendly and happily took a broken suitcase off our hands. Rooftop bar was open and we enjoyed a drink there in the evening. Only negative is that we could hear the toilet flush and shower of next door/floor above us and little bit of noise from the corridors.
Second time we have stayed at the hotel and will definitely be returning!

Very comfortable hotel, stylish exposed brick walls and features, gorgeous marble staircase. Very close to Metro. Staff are very pleasant and accommodating, good English is spoken. Amenities are nice: toiletries, 2 free water bottles, 2 green apples and bottle of wine in room when you arrive. Nespresso coffee-like maker. Large vanity in bathroom for all your stuff. In-room safe. Sound travels from hallways, can be noisy at times. Roof top pool and lounge/bar area quite large and varied seating with so-so views. Location is 2 blocks off La Rambla but be careful of pickpockets, especially backpacks! Front desk staff pleased to offer to book cars to airport (~35 euros). Breakfast buffet is available (10euros) and there is a very good selection of fruits, pastries, hot/cold dishes, deli. I have to admit that we were VERY aware of our surroundings at all times outside the hotel and I would not recommend for families with small children due to small size of elevators and hallways.

Overall the hotel was okay. Our room was in an odd section of the hotel so a bit weird to access at first. The hotel room was very small however we made do. It was clean however one evening a cockroach did come out of the bathroom (we managed to kill it and did not see anything else otherwise). The location of the hotel is great and makes walking around the City very manageable - one of the main reasons we booked it. Staff were friendly and helpful.

We stayed for four nights at the Leonardo on our recent visit to Barcelona (and what a great, central location) We were made to feel welcome from the minute we arrived and as we were early, were able to leave our luggage at the hotel, until the room was ready. Room was clean and comfortable and the air conditioning was superb (and very welcome after a day of walking in the heat). Breakfast was delicious and a special mention to Veronica, who was warm and friendly and gave us some great evening restaurant recommendations. Rooftop pool area was fab. Definitely recommend and hope to return. Thank you.

Forn Boix bakery around the corner is excellent. Turn left out of the hotel, turn right at the junction by the bar, it's on your left hand side just past the church square. less than 5 mins walk. or cut through to the market for food on the go.
