The Leonardo Hotel Barcelona Las Ramblas is frequently commended for its exemplary service and impeccable cleanliness, with guests highlighting the spotless rooms and diligent housekeeping. While the rooms are cozy and equipped with essential amenities, some guests feel they can be cramped and report occasional noise issues. The prime location near Las Ramblas is a hit for its convenience, though opinions on value diverge as some consider the amenities and services, like breakfast and locker storage, to be overpriced. The rooftop pool and atmosphere are generally well-received, despite some negative encounters with reception staff.

The location is fine, too bad the staff had changed and they are not that good as in February. It’s a bit annoying the pool only opens at 10 am instead of 8 or 9 and the bar at the pool only at 15. Too bad. Didn’t have time to go to the city so I thought I’ll spend a lovely morning on the terrace, but it wasn’t possible.

Dear Dianal, We are glad to know that you enjoyed your stay and we are very grateful to you for spending your time sharing your experience in TripAdvisor. We apologize for the changes in the staff, due the covid situation some of them are new and maybe they were on training. We open the pool at 10 becasue we have to clean the terrace and prepar the water every morning for the whole day. Otherwise it's impossible do it with customers around. Thank you very much! Rooms were very small, water pressure was absolutely terrible. The TV did not work for the first 15/20 mins when we turned it on. Elevator and vending machine were out of order for 1/2 days we stayed there. Pool area was nice but pool itself was very small. Unfortunately wouldn’t stay at this hotel again.

I was very impressed by the location of the hotel. They have managed to fit lots of key elements of a good hotel into their small space in the tight roads of Barcelona. The rooftop Bar & Pool makes for an excellent ambiance when having a few drinks pre-dinner. The staff were great & very attentive to any questions that we had during our stay. I’m not a Spanish speaker & they all had brilliant english. The Room was in very good condition apart from the Safe. The safe was not bolted to the wall & did not lock. I reported it to the reception & they had their technician supply the fix within the hour. Breakfast was pretty good & has a nice selection with plenty of items being topped up. All in all, for a short stay, it was a good first impression to Barcelona. Just be aware that Las Ramblas is filled with individuals preying on tourists, so be vigilant.

Spacious room with comfortable beds. Very nice and warm welcome from the reception team. We only stayed for one night but would definitely stay again in the future.
The pool is very small but I think it’s pretty common in Barcelona, specially when staying central, also beach is very near.

Our room was the worst! The window opened up to four cement walls, which made the room dark and claustrophobic. The room itself was no bigger than a closet. I know the rooms in Europe are small but this is ridiculous! The double bed fit in the middle of the room, headboard against the far wall with only 2 feet around the three sides. Not even room to put a chair in there. Was NOT worth $950 CAD for two nights. Ripped off royally! The staff to check in were very rude and unfriendly. We asked the rest of our group about their rooms and they all had better rooms than us!! We inquired as to why and they retorted that we didn’t complain!!! Like, WTF?

Dear Mr. Robert, thank you for your recent stay and your feedback. We regret to know that your expectations weren't satisfied during your stay and we are sorry inconvenience that we may have caused you during your stay. Regarding the room size, just to clarify that you booked an ECONOMY room and that is what you had, the same room of your colleagues who booked economy rooms. Some of them had exactly the same room. The rest who had bigger rooms is because they booked a COMFORT room, that is why the size's difference. We know the economy rooms are small but the size and conditions are specify in expedia when you book the room. Thank you, Leonardo Hotel Barcelona Las ramblas

Comfortable and clean hotel in a very convenient location. Friendly and helpful hotel staff especially Borja at breakfast who always made time to chat and show interest in your visit. Nice roof top pool which is great to cool down in at the end of the day and a bar and seating area too.

Nice boutique hotel, very well situated. Good internet and good breakfast that was included.

The hotel has various size rooms. Ours was a good size, but a few people in our group had very small room. If this happens, go see the front desk - some people were moved to a bigger room. Also, elevators are small - often faster to use steps.

There is a very small rooftop pool with a cool bar. Not a big area, but cozy.

The hotel has a few bars close by, very close to the commercial area and there is a market very close. Lots of food and drink in the vicinity and close to buses and tram.

The only negative is that there are a fair amount of homeless people near by. Nobody bothered us, and i never felt in danger, but it’s good to know.

I would definitely stay here again.

Standard rooms are small, dark, airless and without furnishings. Calling them dump is reductive. The comfort rooms are a little better but incompatible for a 3 star hotel and for the prices charged. Don't make the mistake of asking for an upgrade as the rude staff can't wait to overcharge you. Calling the bathtub on the roof a swimming pool is ridiculous. Wi-fi is inefficient and we found the sink clogged

Dear Maurmotta, We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience with us. We apologize if our economy rooms did not meet your expectations. It's important to note that we offer a range of room types, from economy to deluxe, with varying sizes, amenities, and price points. As the category of room increases, so do the amenities and prices accordingly. Regarding your concerns about the comfort of our rooms, we take guest feedback seriously and will review our offerings to ensure they align with the standards expected of a three-star hotel. As for the pool on the roof, we apologize if it did not meet your expectations. Most of Hotels swimming pools in Barcelona are quite similar due to the space available on a rooftop. Warm regards,

Great hotel and good location, a short walk from the noisy busy La Rambla, far enough not to hear the noise.
We had a lovely spacious deluxe room, upgraded we believe as paid for superior.
The only criticism about the room is the balcony, we didn’t use as we had to share with a number of pigeons, an idea to place a mesh to avoid this would be great.
Breakfast was plentiful and varied on hot items while we were there.
The bar on ground floor was great of an evening however this closed on 01st May and we had to use rooftop bar, which unfortunately was still chilly and quite windy start of May, many guests felt this as well. If the bar remained open on ground floor they’d get more business as some of us older guest do not want to be outside. Also no coffee machine on rooftop.
Staff were great and extremely welcoming.
Yes we would stay again.

A wonderful location close to the centre and Las Ramblas. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. We stayed in a Comfort Room which was more than adequate for a city break. A fair size but for us with with downfall there was not one drawer in the room we have never encountered that issue previously. An inefficient A coffee machine machine was supplied , but no kettle which we found extremely disappointing. There was a safe in the room and an excellent bathroom. A good variety for Breakfast, but considered the cost rather steep at 15 Euros per person. It was overpriced. Despite our couple of small reservations we would not hesitate to stay at this hotel again as the location was ideal for us as a base.

Forn Boix bakery around the corner is excellent. Turn left out of the hotel, turn right at the junction by the bar, it's on your left hand side just past the church square. less than 5 mins walk. or cut through to the market for food on the go.
