My stay at the HG Suites was mid week through the weekend. I had a room on the seventh floor, so this may be why all the other reviews about noise are lost on me - I didn't hear much noise from the street (only a little from 06h to 06h30 on Sunday morning from the pizza joint across the road on the side street) and certainly nothing from the metro. From what I could tell from the floor map, most rooms are on the side street, not Via Augusta, so I don't see why noise should be an issue.
The bed was very firm and blissfully comfortable, though the pillows were too soft for my liking.
The rainforest shower was amazing.
Housekeeping was thorough and remembered everything. They did, however, annoy me when they kept turning the air con off so I'd come back to a humid and stuffy room. I believe a guests preference for the entire night they paid for should override housekeeping's comfort for the 20 mins they're in there.
The room was sold to me with no mention of breakfast being included, yet croissants, juice and coffee every morning for free was a pleasant perk.
Snacks are available from a 'vending machine' - drinks just sit on a shelf, they're not refrigerated as there's no door, so warm water and warm coke are the drink options.
The only problems for me were the painfully slow elevator and the fact that my door key seemed to reset every evening so I had to keep returning to the reception to have it recoded. These are obviously not huge problems.
I'd recommend this place.

Very clean, very kind staff, and comfortable. I would recommend this to anyone staying in Barcelona who is looking for something nice and comfortable but not in the luxury tier. The location is actually fantastic. It's in between the Gracia and Sant Gervasi stations. Gracia is charming beyond belief and Sant Gervasi is so clean and quiet you won't believe you're in the big city. You can be downtown or headed to Les Vallees in under 10 min, and a train ticket is way cheaper than downtown prices.

The room we were given was very nice and clean, with a large bathroom and kitchenette with a coffee maker, microwave oven and eating utensils. The location is very good if you don’t have to go into town daily to board your excursions. The taxi ride one way can be more than $10 to get to Plaza Catalina. There are several quaint restaurants within a block of the hotel which makes it easy to have breakfast, lunch or dinner. I highly recommend this hotel as a great place to see the “other” Barcelona and to have a restful stay.

Just happened to read some nice comments on trip.com before decided to book. I throughoutly enjoyed my stay here, in fact, I decided to extend my stay. Location is perfect with 5 mins walk to metro, which takes you to all the tourist spots. The room is spacious with modern & clean decor. There was a problem with air conditioning but sorted. Free coffee, juice & croissants in the morning are extra bonus. Last and not least, the ladies at reception were always cheerful, smiling and helpful. Special thanks to Paula with all your professional help. I have no hesistation to book this hotel again or try their chain of hotels in other Spanish cities.

We went for a 10-day holiday to Barcelona and stayed at this hotel. It turned out that the location was perfect for us. Metro, bus, and train services were all within a very short walk making travel to the various sites in the easy and quick. The room had a microwave, electric range, pots, pans, and dishes plus a refrigerator. We mostly used the latter as well as the microwave. Since we do not drink coffee, we asked for an electric kettle.
The bed was comfortable, and the room was cleaned every day. We were on the second floor with a view onto the street. While Via Augusta is a major thoroughfare, it was very quiet at night and our sleep went completely undisturbed.
The front desk staff were polite and tried to be helpful. However, the only downside was that they are not local to the area and could only help using Google search. There are lots of good places to eat in the area so it is not an issue, as well.
If we ever return to Barcelona, we will most certainly return to this hotel. Highly recommended.

Booked this as part of a city break package. the room was clean and well lit with plenty of electrical outlets. The bed was comfortable. The shower had plenty of pressure and the temperature was easy to adjust. there was a Nespesso coffee machine which was topped up daily. The location is very near the metro " Gracia" so is well connected to all the attractions the city has to offer

Super nice hotel! The overall staying was absolutely flawless. The room was clean, the kitchen had all the items that we needed (dishes, cutlery, pot, pan, soap, sponge and rag). The air conditioning worked perfectly well and the people working at the reception were always available and kind.

the location is the best to feel the local around the city of Barcelona where most of the tourists are like to be inside the area of La Ribera. the hotel room is the best with all amenities and the kitchen with all utensil plus microwave. the walking distances are secure and very convenient in the night to grocery store, restaurant and the most gelato place around the Garcia area of Barcelona. all receptions/representatives are the greatest to be hosted at this property which they are called in the good name of; Mr. Bruno, Mr. Jacob, Mr. Juan, and all lady representatives with the best services to staying at this property any times.

We stayed in the hotel for 4 nights between Christmas and New Year's Eve. It was lovely. Clean, well equipped, really helpful staff. We loved the location as it was very close to many turist-friendly places - e.g. Sagrada Familia, Park Guell, La Rambla. Also great location considering shops, bars and restaurants. We were able to reach all the destinations by foot. We'd love to come back some time - loved the hotel and whole Barcelona.

We were 2 friends and stayed at the hotel for 5 nights and 6 days. We booked a double room and the hotel was kind to put us in seperate beds. The rooms was very spacious with 2 small sitting tables. There is a small kitchenette with basic utensils for cooking and eating. The hotel offers no other amenities and is no standard lobby. The windows in the room open so you can air out the room and the bathroom was large and comfortable. The room was clean and the house keeping staff was pleasant. The front desk was a little less welcoming and if I would point one thing to improve is that. The hotel is near Garcia neighborhood so there are plentty of restaurants and bars within short walking distance and the Fontana train station is 2 blocks away.

Since 2019, Uber has been suspended in Barcelona, so is unavailable as an option. Cabs are readily available and inexpensive.
Not at the hotel itself, no. There is a parking station very nearby, but it's a paid station with no association (that I know of) with the hotel, so no deals between them. One of the great thing about Barcelona, though, is the copious amounts of on-street parking (except for Gracia, perhaps).
I had the same experience with a flight arriving around 8am. There is no waiting room, but they're happy to keep your luggage in a storage room. For me this was a great option so I could go to the many local cafes for breakfast.
