We went for a 10-day holiday to Barcelona and stayed at this hotel. It turned out that the location was perfect for us. Metro, bus, and train services were all within a very short walk making travel to the various sites in the easy and quick. The room had a microwave, electric range, pots, pans, and dishes plus a refrigerator. We mostly used the latter as well as the microwave. Since we do not drink coffee, we asked for an electric kettle.

The bed was comfortable, and the room was cleaned every day. We were on the second floor with a view onto the street. While Via Augusta is a major thoroughfare, it was very quiet at night and our sleep went completely undisturbed.

The front desk staff were polite and tried to be helpful. However, the only downside was that they are not local to the area and could only help using Google search. There are lots of good places to eat in the area so it is not an issue, as well.

If we ever return to Barcelona, we will most certainly return to this hotel. Highly recommended.

The room we were given was very nice and clean, with a large bathroom and kitchenette with a coffee maker, microwave oven and eating utensils. The location is very good if you don’t have to go into town daily to board your excursions. The taxi ride one way can be more than $10 to get to Plaza Catalina. There are several quaint restaurants within a block of the hotel which makes it easy to have breakfast, lunch or dinner. I highly recommend this hotel as a great place to see the “other” Barcelona and to have a restful stay.

Apartments were lovely and well facilitated. The night receptionist was extremely helpful. I would be putting 5 stars for this stay however we had two terrible nights sleep (or lack of) due to the air con not working. The room was stifling and so we asked to move rooms (twice) but unfortunately we found all three rooms stifling (25 degrees). On the last night, it seems that the engineer had managed to address some of the problem but by this time, most of our stay had been quite uncomfortable. It’s a shame as these were great apartments, clean and good location with a really great shower.
