Superb customer service from start to finish- from my email contact before we stayed regarding my partners birthday, luggage storage (as our flight arrived before check in) and the best way to travel to the hotel from the airport, to all our encounters once at the hotel.
Getting to the hotel from Barcelona airport was very easy via our chosen option- the airport bus- with the late morning traffic this took around 35/40 mins to the last stop on the line- Plaza Catalunya- with the hotel a 4 or 5 minute walk.
We arrived prior to check in, however were able to leave our luggage and given a map and great advice of where to go by the concierge (whose name I did not catch- I am sorry!) as it was our first trip. The welcome drinks were also a lovely touch on arrival.
The hotel’s location is fantastic and central for so many of the main attractions of Barcelona- many within walking distance. We did a lot of walking, but the metro and buses are conveniently located and we can recommend the city bus tour for a great way to see as much of Barcelona, especially if you are only there a few days.
The hotel itself was lovely, modern and sympathetically decorated making the most of the traditional features of the building. The room was well appointed- cool and crisp white decor, with complimentary water, and a birthday package for my partners birthday when we arrived, coffee machine, brilliant air con and lovely terrace balcony (which was as big as an additional room!) which overlooked the hotel terrace and wall gardens- it was lovely to come back to after a day exploring and quiet at night.
Great shower as well and Rituals toiletries provided (no bath- but this does not bother us).
There was a nice roof top terrace with a plunge pool and bar, which was a great location to have a drink, relax and enjoy the views and lovely weather. There were other nice small touches such as jars of sweets around the hotel.
Everyone we encountered at the hotel was friendly, happy and polite- and always willing to help us- we are already planning our next Barcelona trip and will definitely be returning to the hotel!

H10 offer several options for a stay in Barcelona and all are very different in design and offering. We stayed at the Urquinaona Plaza option. On check in we were greeted with a glass of fizz, a free room upgrade and after signing up to their (free) loyalty programme presented with a voucher for 2 cocktails in the hotel bar.

The concierge on the check in desk went out his way to try and source football tickets and eventually offered me a friends season tickets at a very reduced rate.

The room is comfortable and styled in modern white with colourful features and artwork. The bathroom is a glass corner to the room with the sink being in the bedroom itself. This didn't bother us in the slightest but some may disagree.

Being November the hotel seemed quiet which meant it was nice and peaceful but I can't then rate the atmosphere of the bar and restaurant as we opted to take a short stroll to the many local eateries on its door step.

The hotel is perfectly situated for Pl.Catalunya, Ramblas, Metro, Bus and train services. We could easily walk everywhere but the very easy to use Metro is also on the doorstep.

I'll definitely return to H10!

Room Tip: A garden view room is the best option. I assume the higher the better at busy times.

I stayed at the hotel with my husband for 2 nights. The location is very convenient as it is next to a metro station (L1 & L4) and only 3 mins walk from Placa Catalunya. At the same time, it is in a relatively quiet area near a small park.

Although the hotel is rated as 4-star, the service received is better than in some 5-star hotels. Upon arrival, we were greeted by concierge and a welcome drink. There are jars with candies all around the hotel in case you feel like eating something sweet and the staff was always friendly and helpful. Since our room was not ready by check in time, we were upgraded to a room with terrace and comfortable couches, which was highly appreciated.

The room itself was very clean and modernly furnished. The only issue we had was with the Nespresso machine where the capsules (most likely not original Nespresso capsules) kept falling through and it was difficult to make coffee. I understand that it is a complimentary service but if it is not working effectively, there is no need to invest into expensive machines.

The breakfast was very international offering items ranging from eggs to cakes. Moreover, there are items that keep changing every day so you will be satisfied even if you stay for a longer period of time.

All in all, it is one of the best hotels I have stayed at and I definitively recommend it for your stay in Barcelona.

Just comeback from a short break at this hotel celebrating a 60th birthday. Everything about this hotel is lovely. As soon as we walk through the door the concierge helped us with our cases and showed us to a seat in the reception area. Whilst waiting for the receptionist to check us in we were greeted with a complimentary drink. We had emailed the hotel ahead of our arrival and asked for rooms in close proximity which they did. All staff are very friendly and helpful and the service they provided was perfect. The hotel is exceptionally clean. The location of this hotel is ideal and we would definitely recommend this hotel.

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel from 1- 4 November 2014. We got a deal on Secret Escapes but upgraded our room to the Junior Suite with Jacuzzi for the first night then moved into our city view room for the other 2 nights. It was great to experience both! Both rooms were fantastic and excellent value for money. The hotel is very new with high quality furnishings but the classic balcony and small touches still make you feel like you are in traditional Barcelona which is great. The Jacuzzi worked fabulously and was easy to operate. The rooms were spacious, new, modern, unique and clean. I cannot fault this hotel. Sweets around the hotel are also a really nice touch. The reception team were extremely helpful and the concierge was very friendly and always smiling! The breakfast was amazing - lots to choose from. The hotel was quiet and very relaxing. We didn’t use the terrace or plunge pool but went to the area which was lovely. Fantastic location in Barcelona! I would be reluctant to stay anywhere else on my next visit!
For touring the city, there cannot be a better way to do it than going on a bike tour. We did it through Fat Tyres (in the Barri Gothic area) which is a 10min walk from the hotel. The tour guides were lovely and we really enjoyed it. You don’t need to book in advance - just turn up at 10.45am and pay on the day. It was 25euros each and well worth it.
Tip: For Barcelona FC tickets, we got some on Viagogo the day before the match for £9 each!
On the Monday night we went to the Jamboree Jazz Club at La Rambla for 5euros each - it’s a really lovely atmosphere and great music - well worth a visit!
The Hop On Hop Off bus tour was good but the bike tour is a better way to see the city in more detail.
