Fantastic hotel and a very friendly staff, it has a playroom for children and the hotel bar is excellent. Only downhill has nothing to do with the hotel only the guests, it was frustrating to see people going to the pool without washing themself in the roof shower! Please dont wash your feet in the pool future guest, wash before!

The shower is to the left on the photo!

Stayed here 2nd-06th September.
Fantastic break, arrived early (09.30) plan was to drop luggage and return 15.00 but the hotel reception staff allowed us to book in immediately. The reception staff were exceptionally helpful, suggested places we should visit, gave us a map, pre booked our tickets for hop on hop off, told us how to get to certain places on metro.
The hotel was central to everything, lots of pubs/ restaurants within walking distance.
Very quiet in hotel, some previous reviews had complained that rooms to small, having stayed in central London the room here was a pleasant surprise, for a short stay sufficient room in wardrobe and cupboard to put clothes, shower always hot, towels changed daily. Small plunge pool on roof with bar, again towels given as required.
All hotel staff were friendly always smiling and happy to help.
Will we return? definitely

There’s a bunch of good things about this hotel, the best being the location and the staff. You are close to everything and the staff are wonderful. You are two minutes from the big El Cortes Ingles store and loads of shopping as well as a 10 min walk from Las Ramblas. And there’re is a metro station right across from the hotel.

The rooms are nice enough and the beds are ok. They have these long narrow pillows which are fab for a sore neck. They also have face cloths which a lot of Europeans hotels don’t.

They have a lot of rooms with 2 single beds push together to make a double which can be uncomfortable so I’d check to ensure you get the right type of bed.

They have a good Buffett breakfast in the hotel and a small pool deck where you can have a drink along with a lobby bar.

If you’re a light sleeper I would ask for a room facing the hotel atrium not the road. The road noise is major though settles at night.

There were a few quirky / odd/ frustrating things about the hotel.

They have the smallest room service menu I have ever seen and it finishes at 10pm at night. Also most of the food on the menu consists of cold cuts and sandwiches. I couldn’t even get a hot chocolate at night. I had the flu and wanted something warm so crossed the road to Starbucks for a hot choc. It’s right by the hotel.

And I’m 5ft3 and couldn’t reach the coat hangers in the wardrobe so I couldn’t hang my clothes up. If you’re short this is a mission. I have never seen anything like this anywhere in the world. (I’m presuming someone very tall put the wardrobe together.)

There is no bathroom bench space but there is an open shelf under the sink to put cosmetic bags on.

The shower floor needed sealing as while I was having a shower the grout came out which was kinda gross.

All in all this is a nice hotel with nice staff but could do with better food options for room service.

We loved the hotel and the location. We had booked a courtyard room. Big mistake . It was so small you could touch the door from the bottom of the bed and the bathroom from the side of the bed. We have been married 12 years but found it uncomfortable when using the toilet . Even as a very close couple it felt intrusive. Staff on the whole were lovely but when we upgraded our room for an extra €40 per night ,we had to vacate our first room before 12 noon and couldn't get into the new room until after 3 pm in my opinion not good customer service as we had booked 4 nights and asked to change after the 1st night. Upgraded room was well worth the extra with a large terrace furnished with a three piece couch and chairs set, a table and a huge ball light..so relaxing.Otherwise we loved the hotel. Breakfast was good and the roof terrace and pool were a nice addition. We would go back but definitely make sure we had the bigger room.

I recently spent four days in Barcelona, staying at the H10 Urquinaona Plaza Hotel with a friend. What can I say?! Tucked away off a bustling main street, is this delightful and very modern hotel. Rooms are of a good size, with all the mod cons one can expect of a trip abroad. Very friendly staff, who were always eager to help. The only downside was the pool on the roof. It is literally a dipping pool and not a full size one. The views from the terrace are amazing. I stayed bed and breakfast; the breakfast was brilliant. Good choices and fresh. The only other downside of this hotel, was that there seemed to be no windows facing onto the road. They all looked down into the main lobby of the hotel. Perhaps, if you are booking a stay here, it may be worthwhile to ask about road facing windows...? For those of us who like natural light of course.
