We took cab. Convenient and do not have to worry about parking as streets can be narrow depending where you are.

Perfect location in the action. You can walk to the beach all the shops the port great buzz in the streets. Once inside very quiet great double glazing and on the roof you can go up to sunbath and cool off in a tiny pool. The hotel is really nicely designed and you feel on holiday. Overall it is really modern even a little bit on the edge with use of colour but in a lovely old building so you get a real contrast of old and new.The only thing the hotel has not got is space but in the design they have tried the best they can. So no parking space even just to pull up outside. We were in the bus lane to offload all a bit stressful. Then the car parking was in a local underground space. Close and excellent but it cost us over 40 euros for less than 24 hours. It was charged by the minute!
No gardens as such but an outside enclosed seating area. All the normal other facilities you would expect in a four star hotel but all on the small size. Finally on the size theme the bedrooms are small but perfectly designed and really comfortable King sized bed. No room for a bath in our room but a top end walkin shower . Service at the hotel was very good and low key actually the way we prefer it. Breakfast classic 4 star help yourself they seem to have covered all the options and it was really good. Overall if i return to Barcelona in the future I would have no hesitation in returning to this hotel for a couple of nights.

Room Tip: I would try a room on some of the higher floors to get away from the views of traffic outside

Excellent service, clean rooms, amazing food, a massive selection for breakfast in the morning, all served with fresh food. Parking underneath the hotel, the cost for 24 hours was 22Euros.

A nice central place with a 5 min walk down to the beach. Nice swimming pool on the 8th floor with a bar.

We stayed at Urquinaona Plaza two years in a row, both for one night - business/pleasure. Both times we have had seamless experiences, very accommodating staff, clean comfortable rooms, and yes, the glass of bubbly on arrival. They held our bags on departure day; I used their business center briefly; SOLID mid-range hotel. Also, we had three travelers in one room - a nice little sofa-bed was very comfy as the extra. The value is there.
Two small criticisms: One, there is no parking. (But do you really want to drive in the heart of Barcelona??) Two, the breakfast is pricey; go out the door to the left and have breakfast at Petit Pot Cafe Bistro. Super, for less.
But still an excellent rating for this hotel!

I was not sure if giving Hotel 4 or 5 rating but comparing price to service and rooms 5 is clear. Location is just perfect (very very near Plaza Catalunya), rooms are very modern (not very big but everything you can expect). Decoration was nice and place had some very good style ideas. Service received was very nice (special mention the bar personal, very friendly and polite). Only problem I found was the access as there is no parking area where to stop few minutes to leave luggage and do check in. Still I will repeat next time I go to Barcelona.

Sorry. As Mike states a car is not necessary within Barcelona itself. Aerobus from / to Airport / city is excellent as is Metro and Buses. Streets are very busy. You could ask the hotel what they recommend. Personally I’d forget the car while in the city.
