Write a reviewJust returned back from our third stay at the Atenea Mar and 3 years since our last visit. Hotel as good as our previous visits and they had no issues upgrading us to a Deluxe room overlooking the beach for a small nightly charge when we requested a change. Staff in restaurant in the main were superb and remembered us from our previous visits and it was most pleasing to see the advancement in their knowledge and provison of gluten free food for my wife who is a Coeliac. It must also be said that "sin gluten" is now a well recognised phrase across Spain much more so than in the UK or other European countries.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel, we used the metro to get into the centre of Barcelona, but there is also a tourist bus stop a minute away. The breakfast was lovely and fresh and worth 17 euros, the room was large we had a see view

Stayed for three nights in sea facing room which was appointed for every need.
As per some other reviews the glazing was poor and had to sleep with earplugs due to traffic on Ronda litoral.
Pool area is very good and the food and drinks whilst not cheap were very good.
The sangria at €9 a glass and sunshine were an excellent combination!
Breakfast buffet is good.
Checking out is slow.
10 mins to metro and line 4 into city centre.

First of all, we strive to keep noise levels within reasonable limits so that our guests are not disturbed by outside traffic, although we can not control the noise at certain times of the day. If we had known, we would have offered an alternative room. On the other hand, we are happy to know you had a nice time at our Pool&Lounge area facing the sea and you also enjoy our varied menu, designed to satisfy the tastes of all our guest. Very comfortable hotel and location, nice and tiny swimming pool area, the only inconvenient is if you want a sunbed you have to pay an extra otherwise you can comfortably accomodate on a sofa chair. I have experienced a very good service, the hotel is next to the seaside and only five minutes walking from the beach, whatever you want you just ask and you will have it. If you want to surprise your partner with a present to be found directly in the room you have many choices proposed by the hotel, management is attentive and accurate.

Good location and hotel, cheap price, good wifi , but bad service ! I have to take my bags up to the room for check in and check out! If you want ice you have to go to the first floor by yourself! AC is bad you wont sleep good at night. Also, the pool is too small when you see it live. I dont recommend it for any one.

yes there is a hairdryer, but you may also find unwanted people in your room and have some of your possessions stolen.
The security at this hotel last November was appalling.

We didn't use the sunbeds due to weather but I think they should b free - also, yes - there's a pod coffee machine and tea kettle in the room .
